Objective: The aim of this study is to give interest about usability of cellular phone keypad for left-handed person. Background: Although there are being a lot of attempts to design suitable product on user's request in process that design cellular phone keypad, ergonomic access about left-handed person who compose decimal class is unprepared. Especially, in early user's occasion, left-handed persons need more efforts than right-handed person to master Hangul character input process skill level. But, since realization about this left-handed person's discomfort has not spread, the importance has not been well thought in the society. Method: (1) After extracting emblem to use in comparison in questionnaire, applied emblem uniformly to different 3 kind of cellular phone. (2) Measured Hangul input time and mistyping number by dominant hand's position and skill level to reagent. (3) Taking the result through ANOVA. Conclusion: In the result of the experiment about Hangul input time and mistyping number according to dominant hand's position and skill level, left-handed person's group on the low skill level has shown the dullest use capability among 4 experiment groups. Application: In the future, analysis result may be used to the data of realization conversion in process design of various products including cellular phone keypad to consider left-handed person.

Animals, as a part of nature, have much influence on children's emotional development and are one of children's favorite subjects of design. This study analyzes the differences in animal expression methods and types of animals, in relation to gender and item based on a collection of children's clothing and accessories that use animal as their theme. The collection consists of 148 clothing and 75 accessories (total of 223 items), which were collected from on-line shopping sites for children's clothes. Analysis results showed the following observations. Animal expression was categorized into four methods: emblem, illustration, character, and pattern.(The most common method was character, followed by pattern, illustration, and emblem. In relation to gender and clothing item, animal expression methods varied widely:(character was the most popular for) boys' t-shirts and accessories, while girls' bottoms and dresses. As for (animal) types, Mammalia was the most common, followed by birds and insects. Dogs and puppies were popular both genders.(However, differences in preferences existed as) boys liked big and wild animals such as bears, tigers, and foxes, while girls liked small and cute animals such as rabbits, cats, owls, and butterflies. Based on these results, six types of animals (rabbits, elephants, large-beaked bird Toco Toucans, fish, penguins, and bees) were selected as themes for kids' vest designs and, among them, three designs were made.

This experiment was carried out to determine the effects of genotyes (cultivars) and kinds of cytokinins and concentrations on shoot multiplication of roses (Rosa hybrida) by nodal culture. The results from this study were summarized as follows. Shoot multiplication was significantly affected by genotypes. Most shoots were produced from 'Carl Red 'rather than two other cultivars, 'Golden Emblem' and 'Tineke'. Among 3 cytokinins, BA was more significantly effective for multiplication than two other cytokinins, 2iP and kinetin. However subsequent shoot growth after multiplication was more enhanced by 2iP and kinetin rather than BA. An optimal concentration of cytokinin for shoot multiplication was 1 mg/L in this study but BA at 1-5 mg/L was considered optimal for multiplication ratio itself. Subsequent shoot growth was significantly inhibited by increases in cytokinin concentrations, regardless of kinds of cytokinin.

According to John Newman's Bibliography of Imaginative Works about American Fighting in Vietnam, there are 1370 entries up to 1996 which deal with the theme of Vietnam War in literature. Among various themes such as war and gender/race and ethnicity/class, this study makes an issue of the contiguity between femininity and death in Vietnam War novels written by Americans to investigate one of the bedrocks upon which the western civilization is founded. Female figures, especially Oriental females are seen as an emblem of death in the novels such as The Thirteenth Valley, Close Quarters, Body Count, and Bamboo Bed. It has been found out that this kind of death obsessive mode of thinking is deeply embedded in Western mentality and argued that its habitual mode needs to be changed.

In this study, it was carried out to characterize the figures of landform of Yong-San, called dragon mountain implied indentity and emblem of local landscape by analyzing palce name extracted from four county in Kyongsang Nam-Do. The figures of landform of Yong-San was characterized and divided into three types, called as Waryong lying dragon), Banryong(dragon lying in a coil), Yongdu(dragon's crown). And the spatial characterstics of three types of landform were analyzed. Furthermore, it was investigated the development of outlines of characteristic landform recognoxed as a Yong-San and figured out the structure of landform which was easily recognized. According to the results, the outlines and the spatial structure of landform recognized as a Yong-San including a symbolic meaning can be used as a standard of judgement if an area should be reserved for the efficient conduct of regional plan.

The purpose of this thesis is to make clear the symbolism expressed by the gorgeous costume elements in the portraits of Elizabeth 1. After English paintings in 16th century and the Portraits of Elizabeth I being investigated in view of its characteristics, the symbolism in the costume of the portraits was studied in analysis. The flowers, the pearls and the sieve denoting a pure virgin predominantly appeared, snake for discretion and wisdom, phoenix for eternal youth and renewal, pelican for motherhood, and eyes and ears for almightiness and sound judgement as an utmost power was found. The color was mainly of black or white and sometimes of these two mixtures. The white means a purity and black, eternity and the mixture of them signifies a virtue of purity. This thesis may help people understand the gorgeous costume of Elizabeth 1. not as an external extravagance, but as an internal emblem or signs delivering its specific significance.

Enhanced the value of badge good with the gold plating of emblem, sports pictogram, mascot in 2002 Asian Game and World Cup, applying the plating and coating technique to screen printing. In addition, tourist and characteristic goods were of great value and image of visual communication displayed outside. After the screen printing in the surface of stainless steel, it obtained the plate coloring of beautiful a black glossy with a black Ru plating. At the identical surface, it did that the electrodeposition coating process in order to making a conductor state of image areas and a nonconductor state of nonimage areas. After the electrodeposition process, it removed the printing ink of image areas with solvent. A manufacturing process, it removed the printing ink of image areas with solvent. A manufacturing process completed with copper, nickel and gold plating at bared metal surface.

The Gollyongpo was worn by the King and the Crown Prince in Joseon dynasty as an ordinary wear. The research on the Gollyongpo is focused on the historic record of Joseon dynasty, Joseonwangjosillok. This study will analyze literature, paintings and relics. First, I have researched Ming's(China) representative document daminghuidian, and excavated relics from the tomb dingling. I examined the usage and characteristic, through various remaining literature data, artifacts and paintings. The Gollyongpo was worn for the various ceremonies as well as an ordinary wear. According to the periode, the style and color had changed. The King wore the red Gollyongpo with 5 clawed dragon pattern, the Crown Prince wore black one with 4 clawed pattern, and the eldest son of the Crown Prince wore black one with 3 clawed dragon emblem. After the Daehan Empire, the Emperor wore gold outfit and the Crown Prince wore red outfit. Sonyongpo recorded in the Gungjungbalgi is concerned as Gollyongpo with narrow straight sleeve, one of the Sejong University Museum's Collection. There is some Possibility that the Gollyongpo painted in Bongsado is woven with dragon design, I would leave this matter for next research task.
