임베디드 리눅스를 이용한 하드디스크 레코더 및 원격 제어 구현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Hard Disk Recoder and Remote Control Using Embedded Linux)

  • In this paper, we have designed a remote controlable HDR System using all embedded linux board. The system is composed of three parts - a HDR System, a PC client program for remote control and a Nameserver for registering and aquisition of the IP address. The system is built in an embedded board using a linux kernel. With the Linux the system can support networking and file system for a hard disk management In addition, the system embeds a web-server and a ftp-server for remote manipulation and file transfer. And the hardwares of the system are controlled by the linux device driver mechanism. MPEG1/2 technique is used to compress TV tuner signal and external analog video/audio signal. And compressed data is stored in a hard disk. The data stored in the system is accesable through lan or internet. And RTP protocol is used to enable the system to service live stream of instant video/audio input.

  • 네트워크 장비의 대부분은 특정 기능을 수행하도록 설계되어진 임베디드 시스템이다. 임베디드 시스템이란 미리 정해진 특정 기능을 수행하기 위해 컴퓨터의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어가 조합된 전자 제어 시스템이다. 일반 범용의 다양한 기능을 수행하는 컴퓨터가 아닌 시스템 고유의 목적에 맞추어 정형화된 기능만을 수행하도록 설계된 컴퓨터 시스템을 말한다. 초창기 임베디드 시스템은 특정 기능에 최적화, 초소형, 저전력을 겸비한 단순한 기능을 수행하는 정도였으나, 점차 시스템의 복잡성과 다양성을 만족시키기 위한 시스템으로 발전하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 기반으로한 동적 호스트 구성 프로토콜 서버를 구현하는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 개발 보드로 Intel Strong ARM SA-1110 프로세서를 탑재한 ez board-MO1에 임베디드 리눅스를 포팅하고 네트워크 기능을 위하여 이더넷을 기반으로한 기본적인 네트워크를 구축하였다. 이를 통해 임베디드 보드에서 동적으로 네트워크 정보를 할당하여 윈도우 클라이언트 호스트와 리눅스 클라이언트 호스트가 동적으로 네트워크 정보가 설정되는 임베디드 DHCP 서버를 제안하고자 한다.

  • An embedded system has been applied to many fields including households and industrial sites. In the past, user interface products with simple functions were commercialized .but now user demands are increasing and the system has more various applicable fields due to a high penetration rate of the Internet. Therefore, the demand for embedded system is tend to rise In this paper, we Implementation of an embedded system for image tracking. This system is used a fixed IP for the reliable server operation on TCP/IP networks. A real time broadcasting of video image on the internet was developed by using an USB camera on the embedded Linux system. The digital camera is connected at the USB host port of the embedded board. all input images from the video camera is continuously stored as a compressed JPEG file in a directory at the Linux web-server. And each frame image data from web camera is compared for measurement of displacement Vector. That used Block matching algorithm and edge detection algorithm for past speed. And the displacement vector is used at pan/tilt motor control through RS232 serial cable. The embedded board utilized the S3C2410 MPU Which used the ARM 920T core form Samsung. The operating system was ported to embedded Linux kernel and mounted of root file system. And the stored images are sent to the client PC through the web browser. It used the network function of Linux and it developed a program with protocol of the TCP/IP.

임베디드 커패시터의 응용을 위해 다양한 기판 위에 평가된 BMN 박막의 특성 (Characteristics of BMN Thin Films Deposited on Various Substrates for Embedded Capacitor Applications)

  • $Bi_6Mg_2Nb_4O_{21}(BMN)$ thin films were deposited at various substrates by sputtering system for embedded capacitor applications. BMN thin films deposited at room temperature are manufactured as MIM(Metal/Insulator/Metal) structures. Dielectric properties and leakage current density were investigated as a function of various substrates and thickness of BMN thin films. Leakage current density of BMN thin films deposited on CCL(Copper Clad Laminates) showed relatively high value ($1{\times}10^{-3}A/cm^2$) at an applied field of 300 kV/cm on substrates, possibly due to relatively high value of roughness(rms $50{\AA}$) of CCL substrates. 100 nm-thick BMN thin films deposited on Cu/Ti/Si substrates showed the capacitance density of $300 nF/cm^2$, a dielectric constant of 32, a dielectric loss of 2 % at 100 kHz and the leakage current density of $1{\times}10^{-6}A/cm^2$ at an applied field of 300 kV/cm. BMN capacitors are expected to be promising candidates as embedded capacitors for printed circuit board(PCB).

임베디드 보드 기반의 교육용 차동 구동 로봇 플랫폼 개발 (Development of Embedded Board-based Differential Driving Robot Platform for Education)

  • This paper proposes a mobile robot platform for education that can experiment with various autonomous driving algorithms such as obstacle avoidance and path planning. The platform consists of a robot module and a remote controller module, both of which are based on the Arduino Nano 33 IoT embedded board. The robot module is designed as a differential drive type using two encoder motors, and the speed of the motor is controlled using PID control. In the case of the remote controller module, a command to control the robot platform is received with a 2-axis joystick input, and an elliptical grid mapping technique is used to convert the joystick input into a linear and angular velocity command of the robot. WiFi and Zigbee are used for communication between the robot module and the remote controller module. The proposed robot platform was tested by measuring and comparing the linear velocity and angular velocity of the actual robot according to the linear velocity and angular velocity commands of the robot generated by the input of the joystick.

  • 본 논문에서는 고정익 무인항공기의 온보드 영상처리 시스템 개발에 대하여 개발과정에 대해 기술하고, 비행실험을 통한 실험결과를 토대로 하여 성능을 검증하고자 하였다. 시스템 개발보드는 ARM 프로세서가 탑재된 영상처리용 보드에 임베디드 리눅스를 포팅하였다. 목표물 추적을 위한 영상처리 알고리즘으로는 비교적 간단한 알고리즘인 색상 기반 알고리즘을 적용하여, 지상에 있는 특정 색상의 물체를 추적하도록 하였다. 개발된 시스템의 성능검증을 위해 실험실에서 제작한 무인항공기에 탑재하여 비행실험을 수행하였으며, 실시간 성능 향상을 위해 영상처리 알고리즘 및 임베디드 리눅스의 커널에 대한 최적화 작업을 수행하였다. 비행실험 결과, 4픽셀 이내의 오차범위에서 지속적으로 목표물을 추적하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC presents many advantages such like lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. However, it is nearly impossible to use the SoC without operating systems because the SoC is included with many peripherals and complex architecture. It is required to use embedded operating systems and real-time operating systems may be used as an embedded operating system. So far, real-time operating systems are widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, real-time operating systems have disadvantages including a lack of standards, expensive development, and license. Embedded Linux is able to overcome their disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform for a mobile robot using real-time Embedded Linux is described. As a control hardware system platform, XScale board is used. As the real-time Embedded Linux, RTAI is adopted which is open source and royalty free, and supports various architectures and real-time devices, such like real-time CAN and real-time COM. This paper shows the implementation of RTAI on XScale board that means the porting procedure. We also applied the control system platform to the mobile robot and compared the Real-Time serial driver with non real-time serial driver. Experimental results show that that using RTAI is useful to build real-time control system with powerful functionalities of Linux.

고속 영상 검지기 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Study On Development of Fast Image Detector System)

  • Nowadays image processing is very useful for some field of traffic applications. The one reason is we can construct the system in a low price, the other is the improvement of hardware processing power, it can be more fast to processing the data. In this study, I propose the traffic monitoring system that implement on the embedded system environment. The whole system consists of two main part, one is host controller board, the other is image processing board. The part of host controller board take charge of control the total system, interface of external environment. and OSD(On screen display). The part of image processing board takes charge of image input and output using video encoder and decoder, image classification and memory control of using FPGA, control of mouse signal. And finally, fer stable operation of host controller board, uC/OS-II operating system is ported on the board.

  • We develop an embedded system to measure various sensor data, control multiple motors, and communicate with mobile devices for system managements. Choosing TI AM3359 microprocessor featuring high processing performance, low power consumption, and various I/O device support, we design and build the embedded system hardware so that it supports multiple global positioning system (GPS) and gyro sensor modules to measure precise position; multiple pulse width modulation (PWM) outputs to control multiple direct current (DC) motors; a Bluetooth module to communicate with mobile devices. Then, we port the boot loader and device drivers to the built circuit board and construct the firmware development environment for the application programming. The performance of the designed and implemented embedded system is demonstrated by real motor control test using GPS and gyro sensor data and control parameters configured by a mobile device.

  • The number of layers in rigid PCB(printed circuit board) is restricted, so the number of components can be embedded in module is restricted also. But using flexible multilayer PCB, the layers over than 7 can be evaluated. In this study, to verify the possibility of application of flexible multilayer PCB to RF modules, multilayered embedded capacitor is fabricated and analyzed. The characteristics of embedded capacitor is analyzed and compared to that of MLCC and LTCC capacitor. Embedded capacitor has better electrical features than MLCC and compatible one to LTCC capacitor.
