  • This paper presents the investigations and the reduction methods for EMI in the Elevator(E/L) system. In the large capacity E/L. Power factor controlled IGBT converter is used, so that the conducted EMI level is mostly determined by a high frequency input current. We suggest the low cost EMI countermearsure for E/L system using by a LCL filter ed a low cost noise filter.

  • It's being a trend that contemporary buildings are getting higher. And in line with this, we suggest the smart elevator operation management mobile application which is designed using clustering techniques to improve user's elevator access control and convenience. This clustering technique using the elevator's calling data make it possible to find its best position, and know the state of it using a smart phone as well. With this, not only the users' waiting time can be decreased, but also their convenience can be improved with the remote control system that got efficient a lot.

  • Recently, robots have been actively utilized for logistics and delivery services in various places such as restaurants, hotels, and hospitals. In addition, it provides a safer environment, convenience, and cost efficiency to the customers. However, when it comes to autonomous delivery in a multi-floor environment, the task is still challenging. Especially for wheeled mobile robots, it is necessary to deal with elevators to perform the last-mile delivery services. Therefore, we present a multi-floor route planning algorithm that enables a wheeled mobile robot to traverse an elevator for the delivery service. In addition, an elevator boarding mission algorithm was developed to perceive the drivable region within the elevator and generate a feasible path that is collision-free. The algorithm was tested with real-world experiments and was demonstrated to perform autonomous postal delivery service in a multi-floor building. We concluded that our study could contribute to building a stable autonomous driving robot system for a multi-floor environment.

  • In this paper, we present autonomous mobile robot system, which has an image recognition module and perform tasks by itself with manipulator. Autonomous mobile robot can push each individual button on an elevator panel from a person's command. After the robot receives its command, it analyzes the image information of the elevator button that is acquired by CCD camera in an indoor environment with an elevator.   • In this paper, we proposed an efficient method for implementing a voice recognition elevator. Unlike the existing ones, the proposed system is based on the bluetooth communication and smartphones equipped with the google speech recognition software, which makes it possible that the speech recognition capability can be added to the previously installed elevators. In order to improve the recognition accuracy, instead of using the result of the google recognizer, we built a web server where the user data are accumulated and they are used for recognition error correction.

  • 본 논문에서는 다수의 승강기들이 서로 협력하여 운영되는 대형 고층 빌딩의 승강기 시스템에 대해서 DEVS 형식론을 이용하여 모델링하고 시뮬레이션한다. 다수의 독립적으로 운영되는 승강기로 이루어진 기존의 승강기 시스템과는 달리, 제안된 시스템에서는 사용자의 요구에 따라 승강기의 스케쥴이 생성, 변경, 삭제되는 동적 스케쥴링 기능을 갖도록 하였다. 제안된 시스템은 승강기 시스템을 나타내는 ELEVATOR 모델과 시뮬레이션 수행에 필요한 실험장치인 EF 모델로 구성된다. ELEVATOR 모델은 빌딩을 나타내는 BUILD 모델, 승강기를 나타내는 ELEV 모델과 각 승가기의 스케쥴을 다이나믹하게 제어하는 SCHED 모델로 구성된다. EF 모델은 실험용 데이터를 생성하는 GENR 모델, 이동하는 승객의 데이터를 추적하고 결과를 수집하는 TRANSD 모델로 구성된다. 모델링된 시스템의 시뮬레이션을 위해 DEVSim++를 이용하여 구현하였다. DEVSim++는 DEVS 형식론을 C++로 구현한 것이다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 효율, 수행 시간을 기존의 승강기 시스템과 비교, 분석하였다.

  • In this study, hydraulic systems of the rope brake system of an elevator are modeled to evaluate design parameters that consider friction characteristics such as cylinder pressure, piston displacement, and flow rate. Hydraulic systems of the rope brake system are analyzed using the commercial program AMESim. Analysis modeling data are compared with data obtained from experiments, and the analysis modeling results are found to be reliable. The analysis results will be used to design hydraulic systems of the rope brake system of elevators.

  • The generation cost of photo voltaic is the most expensive among the renewable energy. To reduce the generation cost of photo voltaic, the proposed method added the regeneration power of elevator. Therefore we have the simulation results the proposed method is 60[%] higher than the previous photo voltaic generation for efficiency of generation.

Trends and Issues in Safety Management of Elevators in Korea

  • This study focuses on the trends and issues of improving safety management of elevators in Korea. Frequency and severity of accidents in relation to conditional pass in periodic inspection, maintenance, market surveillance are analyzed based on the statistical data and social cost due to a variety of related fields in managing elevator safety was estimated first. The results of statistical analysis performed in this study will provide logical basis and future direction for improving the safety management system. The role of certification and supervision is particularly addressed to reduce the related accidents and the social cost. The effectiveness of such procedures can be found from the results of simple statistical analysis.
