Ambulatory 방광기능 모니터링을 위한 일상 생활 중 복강 내압의 변화 분석 (Analysis of Intra-abdominal Pressure Changes on Daily Activities for Ambulatory Bladder function monitoring)

  • This study is to evaluate the change of intra-abdominal pressure related with intravesical and intrarectal pressure in patients with spinal cord injury according to daily activities and postural changes which make the abdominal pressure elevated. The intravesical and the intrarectal pressures were obtained during patient's speech, sneeze, cough, valsalva and various postural changes with supine to decubitus, derubitus to supine, supine to sit, and sit to supine according to empty and full bladders, respectively. The order of higher intravesical and intrarectal pressure rise during various maneuvers were valsalva, sneeze, supine to sit and cough, respectively. Higher correlation coefficient between the intrvesical and intrarectal pressures were noted during cough, sneeze, valsalva and supine to sit in empty bladder than full one. These results demonstrated that the intravesical and intrarectal pressures were influenced by daily activities and postural changes of increasing the intra-abdominal pressure. The intrarectal pressures according to daily activities such as cough, sneeze, valsalva and postural change were significantly related with intravesical pressures.

  • The factors involved in controlling the vocal pitch are the tension, the mass, the length of the vocal cords and the subglottic pressure. Vocal pitch can be elevated surgically by increasing the stiffness or reducing the vibrating mass of the vocal cords. Recently, we experienced a case of 25 year-old female whose vocal pitch was elevated with radiofrequency surgery of right vocal cord on suspension laryngoscopy. Elevation of vocal pitch(134.11 to 144.73) was noted two months after operation. So we report this case with review of literature.

  • Aluminum alloys have high potential for weight reduction in automotive and other applications. But aluminum alloys have relatively low tubular hydroformability which can be enhanced by conducting the hydroforming at elevated temperatures. Hot working processes are commonly used in bulk forming such as forging and rolling, but still is rare in sheet metal forming like hydroforming. In this study hydroforming test at elevated temperatures is performed by special designed induction heating system to investigate the hydroformability of aluminum alloys. The high temperature formability characteristrics are obtained by 1?fitting forming test and circular bulging test and the effects of the process parameters such as feeding amount, internal pressure and temperatures on the tubular forming limits are mainly investigated.

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Rapidly Solidified Powder Metallurgy Al-Fe-V-Si-X Alloys

  • High heat-resistant Al-Fe-V-Si and Al-Fe-V-Si-X rapidly solidified powder metallurgy (RS P/M) alloys have been developed under well-controlled high purity argon gas atmosphere. The $Al_{90.49}Fe_{6.45}V_{0.68}Si_{2.38}$ (at. %) RS P/M alloy exhibited high elevated-temperature strength exceeding 300 MPa and good ductility with elongation of 6 % at 573 K. Reduction of $H_2O$ partical pressure in P/M processing atmosphere led to improvement in mechanical properties of the powder-consolidated alloys under elevated-temperature service conditions. Ti addition to the Al-Fe-V-Si conduced to enhancement of the strength at room temperature. The tensile yeild strength and ultimate strenght were 545 MPa and 722 MPa, respectively.

  • In this paper, friction welding optimization for 1Cr0.5Mo to STS304 and AE applications for the weld quality evaluation were investigated The important results of this study are as follows : 1. The techiques for dissimilar friction welding optimization if the elevated temperature materials 1Cr0.5Mo and STS304 and its real-time weld quality evaluation by AE were developed, considering on both strength and toughness. 2. Quantitative relationship was identified among welding condition, weld quality and cumulative AE counts.

뇌동맥류 수술환자에게 적용한 두부체위가 두개강내압에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Head Elevation and Position on Intracranial Pressure(ICP) in the Neurosurgical Patient with a Cerebral Aneurysm)

  • This study was undertaken to identify optimal head elevation and position in the care of the neurosurgical patient with a cerebral aneurysm. The effects of 0°. 15° and 30° head elevation and three positions (supine, side tying position opposite to the operation site, and side tying position on the same side as the operation site) on ICP was studied in fourteen neurosurgical patients with cerebral aneurysms. The results are as follows : 1. The mean intracranial pressure was significantly lower when the patient's head was elevated at 30° as compared to 0° and 15°. 2. The mean intracranial pressure was significantly lower when the patient was positioned in the supine as compared to side tying position opposite to the operation site and side tying position on the same side as the operation site. The data indicate that head elevation to 30° and the supine position reduce ICP in neurosurgical patients with cerebral aneurysm.

FLUENT 5.4 코드를 이용한 양방향 유동 튜브에 대한 유동해석 (Flow Analyses using FLUENT 5.4 Code for the Bi-directional Flow Tube)

  • Flow analyses using FLUENT 5.4 code were performed to validate the application of the local bidirectional flow tube in case of water and air flow. In this study, sensitivity studies have been performed to optimize the design features of the bi-directional flow tube which can be applied for the various experimental conditions. 2-dimensional axisymmetric steady state flow analyses have been performed. By calculating the differential pressure at both the front and the rear hole of the flow tube, K values were evaluated. The K values show good linearity regardless of the tube sizes and the Re numbers in both water and air flow. And system pressure and water subcooling didn’'t affect the K values. Under the elevated pressure of 80bar with 80K water subcooling, the K value indicates a similar trend with the case of 2bar with 80K water subcooling.

  • Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) are expected to be ideal reinforcements of metal matrix composite materials used in aircraft and sports industries due to their high strength and low density. In this study, a high pressure torsion(HPT) process at an elevated temperature(473K) was employed to achieve both powder consolidation and grain refinement of aluminummatrix nanocomposites reinforced by 5vol% CNTs. CNT/Al nanocomposite powders were fabricated using a novel molecular-level mixing process to enhance the interface bonding between the CNTs and metal matrix before the HPT process. The HPT processed disks were composed of mostly equilibrium grain boundaries. The CNT-reinforced ultrafine grained microstructural features resulted in high strength and good ductility.

AZ31 합금의 부풀림 성형시 공공의 거동 (Cavitation Behavior of AZ31 Sheet during Gas Blow Forming)

  • Based on the facts that AZ31 magnesium alloy can be blow formed just like superplastic aluminum alloys and that most superplastic alloys fail by cavitation, the present study was undertaken to investigate the cavitation behavior of a fine-grained AZ31 sheet during blow forming at the elevated temperature. Other points of interest included the much lower strain rate and temperature dependencies of the magnesium alloy compared with conventional superplastic alloys. It was also aimed to find if cavitation in the AZ31 alloy can be suppressed by hydrostatic pressure, as is the case in most superplastic alloys. Interestingly, the application of hydrostatic pressure did not increase the blow formability of AZ31 sheet, even though it reduced the degree of cavitation. A possible reason for this behavior is discussed.

  • Rapid developing automation technology enhances the need of sensors. Among many materials, silicon has the advantages of electrical and mechanical property, Single-crystalline silicon has different piezoresistivity on 야fferent directions and a current leakage at elevated temperature, but poly-crystalline silicon has the possibility of controling resistivity using dopping ions, and operation at high temperature, which is grown on insulating layers. Each wafer has slightly different thicknesses that make difficult to obtain the precisely same thickness of a diaphragm. This paper deals with the fabrication process to make poly-crystalline silicon based pressure sensors which includes diaphragm thickness and wet-etching techniques for each layer. Diaphragms of the same thickness can be fabricated consisting of deposited layers by silicon bulk etching. HF etches silicon nitride, HNO$_3$+HF does poly -crystalline silicon at room temperature very fast. Whereas ethylenediamice based etchant is used to etch silicon at 11$0^{\circ}C$ slowly.
