본 연구는 초등 수학 교과서 발행 체제 전환이라는 수학 교육의 새로운 변화에 따라 초등 교사들의 수학 교과서에 대한 관심은 어떠한지 알아보았다. 이를 위해 전국의 초등 3-4학년 교사를 대상으로 온라인 설문 플랫폼을 활용하여 설문 조사를 실시하였고 참여자 199명의 응답 데이터를 바탕으로 수학 교과서에 대한 관심을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 초등 교사들의 수학 교과서에 대한 관심도는 정보적 관심과 개인적 관심에서 높게 나타났다. 그리고 교사 개인의 최고점 관심을 보인 단계는 강화적 관심과 운영적 관심 순으로 많이 나타났다. 개인 변인에 따라 수학 교과서에 대한 관심도 차이를 분석한 결과 교사의 수학 교육 연수 경험, 수학 교과서에 대한 만족도, 그리고 수학 교육 전공 여부에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이를 통해 초등 교사들은 검정 수학 교과서에 대한 특징, 장단점, 자료 등에 관한 정보적 관심이 높음을 알 수 있고 수학 교과서에 대한 개인적 관심이 높게 나타난 것은 검인 정제 전환 목적에 따라 긍정적으로 작용할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 또 교사 개인의 수학 교과서에 대한 최고점 관심 단계 분석 결과 강화적 관심 단계인 교사가 많은 비율을 나타냈으므로 교사의 창의적인 수학 교과서 사용과 재구성을 지원하기 위한 다양한 방안 마련이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

In this study, the researchers analyzed the 2015 revised 3rd~6th grade Korean mathematics textbooks from the aspects of social justice in mathematics education. For this study, the researchers constructed a textbook analysis framework for social justice subjects, which categorized by social issues, economy education, democratic education, personality education, safety education, environmental education, and career education. As a result, the 2015 revised elementary mathematics textbooks were reflected the subject matter of social justice in the order of social issues, economic education and democratic education, personality education and environmental education, safety education and career education. Also, the subject of social justice appears in all 3rd~6th grade mathematics textbooks, but it is not explicitly dealt with by combining it with mathematical content. The researchers suggested that mathematics lessons should be developed including social justice issues aligned with elementary mathematics contents.

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 수학교과서 2학년에서 삼각형의 개념을 지도하기 위하여 제시하고 있는 예를 분석하고, 학생들에게 도형의 개념 지도에 있어서의 예 공간의 의미와 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. 한국에서 수학교과서는 교수-학습 과정에서 주요한 자료의 하나로 교실에서의 교수-학습 방법과 질에 큰 영향을 주게 된다. 그런데 초등학교 수학교과서에 나타난 삼각형 개념의 제시는 제한된 예 공간에서의 예들을 제시하고 있다. 학생들로 하여금 삼각형의 개념을 보다 명확히 이해하도록 돕기 위해서 교과서에서 보다 풍부한 예들의 제공할 필요가 있고 학습자로 하여금 보다 풍부한 예 공간의 생성 및 교실에서의 교수-학습과의 연계성의 연구가 필요함을 제안하였다.

단계형, 수준별 교육과정의 효율적인 운영을 위해서는 개별화 학습이 가능하도록 자기 주도적 학습 시스템이 구축되어야 한다, 이러한 시스템 구축을 통한 교육과정의 효과적 운영과 교수-학습의 질적 향상을 도모할 수 있는 방안의 하나로 초등수학 전자 교과서 개발은 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 초등 수학 전자 교과서의 구성 및 개발 전략에 대한 기본 방향을 설정하고, 이러한 기본 방향에 기초하여 유사 자료 사례 분석, 내용 분석, 기능 분석을 통해 종합적인 초등 수학 전자 교과서의 구성 모델을 제시하였다. 또한 실제적인 개발 전략의 일환으로 단계적 개발 모형과 컨텐트 확보 방안도 함께 제시하였다.

In this paper, we tried to analyze 7 textbooks for liberal mathematics in elementary teacher's colleges in Korea and 3 foreign textbooks (2 American textbooks and 1 Japan textbook) which are believed to be used for pre-service education. We tried also to analyze in 3 lesson plans in homepages of Japan teacher's colleges. Next we tried to grope for syllabus of Mathematics for Elementary Teachers, and we suggested one syllabus. But we think that syllabus as a tentative one. So, it must be criticized by other researchers to be better one.

본 연구의 목적은 학교 현장에서 수학 수업을 관찰하면서 인식한 초등예비교사들의 초등수학교과서 활용에 대한 관점을 분석하고 수학 수업에서 교과서 활용을 위한 시사점을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 54명의 초등예비교사들이 서울시내 15개 지역구에 1학년부터 6학년까지 54개 학급(총 1299명의 학생)의 수학 수업을 관찰하였다. 수학 수업의 관찰을 토대로 예비교사들이 인식하는 초등수학교과서의 활용과 수학 수업에서 자료의 활용에 대한 관점을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 예비교사들은 초등수학교과서의 동기유발 자료를 각색하여 활용할 필요가 있다고 인식하였다. 그리고 학생들의 효과적인 학습을 돕기 위하여 수준별 학습을 포함하여 교과서 이외에 다양한 활동지 및 부가적인 자료를 사용할 필요가 있고, 이들은 수학 수업에서 교수 학습을 위해 사용하는 도구는 주로 TV와 PPT 등이라고 응답하였다. 예비교사들은 초등수학교과서의 내용과 체제 자체에 대해서 보통 정도의 만족을 하고 있었고, 디지털교과서 개발의 필요성도 크게 느끼지는 않았다. 연구자는 수학 교수 학습의 질 향상을 위하여 수업의 전반적인 메커니즘 안에서 교과서와 같은 학습 자료를 어떻게 활용하는 것이 효과적인지에 대한 장기간의 연구와 교사들을 위한 학교 현장의 적용을 포함한 실제적인 연수가 필요함을 제안하였다.

The purposes of this study were to analyze elementary school mathematics textbooks developed in accordance with the 7th national amended curriculum and to find implications for the development of a new revised curriculum to meet the needs of the knowledge-based society. Elementary school mathematics textbooks and accompanying practice books were analyzed. Teacher's manuals were also studied to examine the intentions of the textbook developers. The two major questions were sought. First, to what degree do elementary school mathematics textbooks and practice books match with the intentions of the national curriculum\ulcorner Second, how do elementary school mathematics textbooks and practice books facilitate student's learning for understanding mathematics\ulcorner The findings were as follows. First textbooks, practice books, and teacher's manuals appeared not to reflect the intentions of the 7th amended curriculum to the full extent. Second, characteristics and roles of textbooks, practice books, and teacher's manuals were not clearly defined and therefore, they were not very feasible for teaming for understanding mathematics. The recommendations for a new revised curriculum were suggested. First, regarding the contents presented in the textbooks, the idea of structure of subject matter need to be considered in order to help students to understand connections of concepts and relationships between concepts and functions in mathematics. Second, more ill defined problems should be presented to develop problem solving ability in real life contexts in students. Third, contents for relearning and enrichment need to be reorganized to reflect students' real ability. Fourth, uses of the concrete and the manipulative need to be more realistically suggested. Fifth, more prototypes of performance assessment tasks, scoring rubrics, and portfolios need to be presented in a more teacher-friendly manner. Sixth, characteristics and roles of textbooks and practice books need to be more discernible.

본 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 수학 교육과정에 따른 교과서 작업에 즈음하여 중국 교과서와 우리나라 교과서를 비교 분석함으로써 현재 교과서의 개선점을 지적하고 새 교과서 작업에 시사점을 주고자 한다. 분석 대상은 중국 인민교육출판사의 초등수학 교과서와 2007 개정 교육과정에 따른 우리나라 교과서이다. 분석 영역은 수와 덧셈, 뺄셈으로 제한했다. 본 연구의 결과는 한국 교과서가 상대적으로 많은 언어적 표현의 사용, 할 일이 정해진 활동, 수학적 개념의 확장에서 유사한 절차 사용, 수와 연산 영역에서 더 큰 수의 사용, 다양하지 못한 수 감각 활동으로 나타났다. 이에 우리나라 교과서가 수학적 흥미와 도전감, 기초기본 개념 형성에서 상대적으로 취약하다는 것을 말해준다.

교과서에 대한 의존도가 높은 초등학교 수업 장면을 고려할 때 교과서의 구성 체제가 수학 수업에 미치는 영향은 크다고 할 수 있다. 특히 교사의 수업 계획은 교과서의 단원 및 차시를 토대로 이루어지기 때문에 단원 및 차시 구성 체제는 수학수업과 직결되는 중요한 요소이다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 수학 교과서의 단원 및 차시 구성 체제에 대한 종적, 횡적 비교 분석을 실시하고 그로부터 추출한 주요 특징에 대해 초등학교 교사들의 선호도를 조사하였다. 연구 결과는 우리나라 교육과정기별 수학 교과서 및 한국, 일본, 미국, 핀란드 수학 교과서의 구성 체제에는 몇 가지 차이가 있음을 보여주며, 그에 기초하여 구성한 설문 조사 결과, 초등학교 교사들이 선호하는 단원 및 차시 구성 체제를 파악할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과로부터 교과서 개발 시 구성 체제 측면에 있어서의 몇 가지 시사점을 제안하였다.

This study aims to analyze how the history of mathematics is used in Chinese mathematics textbooks. As a framework for analysis, we categorized nine types of using the history of mathematics in textbooks. We analyzed 18 mathematics textbooks for Chinese elementary and middle schools. As a result, we found that various types of using the history of mathematics were adopted in Chinese textbooks except for explorations of mathematical errors in history. We also noticed three characteristics: preference to using for motivation and reading matters in elementary school levels, high frequencies of using problems from traditional mathematical books and origins of mathematical concepts or symbols, and emphasis on ethnic superiority through the Chinese traditional mathematics. Based on the results of analysis, we discussed and induced some implications for using the history in our mathematics textbooks.
