한국과 일본의 초등 예비 교사의 과학과 교육 과정 운영에 대한 인식 비교 연구 (Pre-service Elementary School Teacher's Perception of Science Curriculum Use in Korea and Japan)

  • This study investigated pre-service elementary school teacher's perception of science curriculum use in Korea and Japan. Ninety four pre-service elementary teachers in Korea and fifty three pre-service elementary teachers in Japan are participated in this study. As the result, four patterns were revealed. First, science isn't perceived as an important or interesting subject by the pre-service elementary teachers in both countries. Second, the perception of Korean pre-service teachers about the objectives of science subject is relatively negative. Third, in the case of Korea, the perception about the effectiveness of science subject content and level, and the amount of learning is shown to be more negative than those of Japan. Finally, in both countries, the science majors and the non-science majors have negative perceptions about the inclusion of the perspectives and methods of assessment and the preparation of teaching and learning plan in curriculum.

초등 과학수업의 다면적 분석을 중심으로 한 교사 참여형 교육프로그램이 초보교사의 수업전문성에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Teacher Participation-Oriented Education Program Centered on Multi-Faceted Analysis of Elementary Science Classes on the Class Expertise of Novice Teacher)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze The Effect of Teacher Participation-oriented Education Program (TPEP) centered on Multi-Faceted Analysis of Elementary Science Classes on the Class Expertise of novice teacher. First, in order to develop the TPEP, lectures and exploratory science classes were analyzed using imaging and eye-tracking techniques. In this study, the TPEP was developed in five stages: image analysis, eye analysis, teaching language analysis, gesture analysis, and class development. Participants directly analyzed the classes of experienced and novice teachers at each stage. The TPEP developed in this study is different from the existing teacher education program in that it reflected the human performance technology aspects. The participants analyzed actual elementary science classes in a multi-faceted way and developed better classes based on them. The results of this study are as follows. First, at the teacher training institutions and the school sites, pre-service teachers and novice teachers should be provided with various experiences in class analysis and multi-faceted analysis of their own classes. Second, through this study, we were able to identify the limitations of existing class observations and video analysis. Third, the TPEP should be developed to improve the novice teachers' class expertise. Finally, we hope that the results of this study are used as basic data in developing programs to improve teachers' class expertise in teacher training institutions and education policy institutions.

초등 과학 교사들의 교사 공동체 내에서의 학습의 특징과 인식적 믿음의 변화 (Characteristics of Teacher Learning and Changes in Teachers' Epistemic Beliefs within a Learning Community of Elementary Science Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of teacher learning and changes in teachers' epistemic beliefs within a learning community of elementary science teachers. Three in-service elementary teachers who majored in elementary science education in a doctoral course of a graduate school of education participated in the study, and learning activities in the teachers' beginning learning community provided a context for the study. Data sources included field notes produced by the researcher who engaged jointly in the teacher learning community as a coach, audio-recordings of the teachers' narratives, and artifacts generated by the teachers during the process of teacher learning. Complementary analyses of these multiple sources of data revealed that epistemic beliefs of the three elementary teachers were different and that each teacher made a different plan of science instruction based on his own epistemic belief even after the learning experiences within the teacher community. It was therefore suggested that science teacher education programs should be organized in consideration of the nature of teachers as constructivist learners and their practical resources.

'전기 회로 꾸미기' 단원의 수업에서 나타난 초등교사의 PCK 특성 (The PCK Characteristics of Elementary School Teachers in the Classes of 'Making Electric Circuit' Unit)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and the relationships of PCK components of elementary school teacher in the chapter of electric circuit unit. The subjects of this study were two teachers serving as main teachers in the 5th grade and data were collected through qualitative research methods such as questionnaires for teachers, classroom observations and teacher interviews. The collected data were transcribed and then analyzed. Results of analysis showed that teacher A thought that science was a class to explore and study the principles of nature phenomena and scientific knowledge by themselves In addition, teacher A helped students to understand the content by using strategies of analogy. The teacher B conveyed the contents of text without any reconstruction. But teacher B understood the standards of curriculum, and didn't want to teach students over the standards. Based on the analysis, we could conclude that PCK is formed on the basis of knowledge and belief about curriculum and knowledge and belief about learners.

불간섭주의와 교사협력 - 과학수업을 위한 두 초등교사의 교사협력 사례 연구 - (Noninterference and Teacher Collaboration - The Case Study of Two Elementary School Teachers' Collaboration for Science Classes -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction of science PCK between two elementary school teachers by the teacher collaboration within the school. We chose the case that two teachers collaborated spontaneously in the 5th-grade science classes. Even though they had similar teaching experiences, one of them had the science PCK while the other did not. As a result of this study, two teachers began to collaborate to avoid comparisons of science classes between them. They shared the same teaching plan but practiced science teaching individually. During they taught science, they usually collaborated on the instructional sequences, student's activities, and the content of assessments. They had an in-depth collaboration when the teacher who lacked the science PCK asked help to teach problem-centered learning by science inquiry. During the collaboration, their science PCK components, especially the knowledge of instructional strategies for teaching science, shared and it affected the teacher's science practices who lacked the science PCK. However, they did not usually share the knowledge of teaching for their everyday science classes because two teachers had the perception of noninterference about their science classes. This case has the limitation that it is hard to generalize the results but teacher collaboration shows the possibility to develop the elementary school teachers' science professionalism by having peers in the school who can help them in science classes.

농촌형 급식교와 비급식교 중학생의 체조성 및 식행동 분석 (Body Composition and Eating Behavior of Rural Middle School Students Provided With and Without National School Lunch Program)

  • The aim of this study is to identify needed consumer education changes through the analysis of the consumer education in elementary schools. The findings of this study are:1. The current situation of elementary school consumer education was examined through analysis of the curricula of elementary schools. 2. Teacher attitudes and perceptions toward elementary school consumer education were also examined. Although the elementary school teachers clearly understood the importance of consumer education, the problem is that a training workshop or program has not been provided for them. This deficiency needs to be addressed quickly. 3. The third part of the study consisted of an analysis of the curriculum of the 11 Teacher’s Colleges in Korea. This partof study revealed that consumer education was not systematically addressed at Teacher’s Colleges. This finding suggests that it is important to have an included with other opening lecture on consumer education, cultural subject. The content of the consumer education must be positively emphasized and applied systematically.

An Analysis on the Elementary School teacher's Literacy about Software Education Contents, In preparation for the 2015 Revised National Curriculum

  • In this paper, we propose the elementary school teacher's training direction for effective SW education. In an effort to better understand the efficient SW training contents and methods for teachers, 200 of elementary teachers had been selected from different places in South Korea. The results showed that 1)it should be operated by focusing on the training of female teachers, especially, strengthening the contents of SW ethics. 2)It will need to actively operate the teacher training program to foster the necessary computational thinking and programing for elementary school teacher who work in big cities. 3)It need to create a training program for expanding the SW studying groups. 4)In order to improve the effectiveness of training courses in the development of in-service training programs, the SW ethics contents need to be coordinated with the link the computational thinking and programing. These results are expected to provide the efficient methods to design the future SW training programs.

초등교사 임용 시험에서 수학 교과 문항의 출제 동향 분석 (A Study on Mathematics Question Item Trend in Elementary School Teacher Selection Test)

  • 초등교사 임용후보자 선정 경쟁시험은 초등교사의 수학을 가르치기 위한 지식(MKT)을 의미 있게 측정하고, 나아가 MKT를 신장시킬 수 있는 방향으로 시행되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 먼저 현재까지 임용시험에서 출제된 문항들에 대한 분석이 면밀한 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2000년 이후 출제된 초등교사 임용시험에서 수학 교과 문항 84개의 출제 동향을 문항 유형, 대상 학년, 내용 영역, 주제별로 기준을 설정하여 임용시험의 전체적인 경향을 구체적으로 분석하고, 초등 교사의 MKT와 관련하여 분석의 결과를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 임용시험은 문항 유형에서 서답형(71.4%)이 주로 출제되었고, 대상 학년에서는 통합 학년(41.7%)의 문제 출제 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 내용 영역의 측면에서는 수와 연산(31.0%), 측정(23.8%), 도형(15.5%) 영역의 순으로 출제 비중이 높았다. 주제별 동향에서는 교과서/지도서(34.5%), 문제해결(26.2%), 학습심리(13.1%)의 순으로 비중이 높았지만, 평가와 관련된 문항은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 임용시험의 초등수학 출제 문항으로 2000년 이후의 모든 문항을 선행 연구의 기준을 구체화하여 분석하였으며, 초등교사의 MKT와 관련하여 분석의 결과를 도출하였다는 점에서 의미를 갖는다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 2013-2024학년도 초등임용시험의 수학과 문항을 분석하여 수학 교과를 가르치기 위해 초등학교 교사에게 요구되는 지식과 그 특징을 파악하고 초등임용시험의 개선 방향을 논의하고자 한다. TEDS-M의 분석틀을 수정 및 보완하여 분석한 결과 MCK와 MPCK의 비율이 해마다 차이가 있었지만 전반적으로 MPCK의 비율이 높았다. MCK와 MPCK는 특정 지식 영역, 인지적 과정, 수준에 편중되는 현상을 보이고 있었고 고등 사고력과 평가 지식을 측정하는 문항이 부족하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 다변화하고 있는 사회에서 필요한 교사의 지식과 능력을 평가할 수 있는 초등임용시험의 개선 방향을 제언하였다.

실과(기술·가정) 교사의 실천적 교수역량, 이론적 교수역량과 교수효능감의 관련성 분석 (The Relationship among Practical Teaching Competence, Theoretical Teaching Competence, and Teaching Efficacy of Practical Arts (Technology and Home Economics Education) Teachers)

  • This study examined the association among practical teaching competence (PTC) and teaching efficacy (TE), and explored the mediation effects of theoretical teaching competence (TTC) between the PTC and TE of Practical Arts (Technology and Home Economics Education) teachers. Data were collected from the 301 survey responses completed by elementary, middle, and high school teachers. All teachers showed high levels of PTC, TTC, and TE. Elementary school teachers perceived higher PTC than middle and high school teachers. PTC, TTC, TE showed significant effect in regards to teacher's age and teaching career. Using multiple regression analysis, this study found that TTC fully mediated PTC and TE of elementary school teachers. For middle and high school teachers, there was a partial mediation effect of TTC in the relationship between PTC and TE. This study suggests that teacher education programs should develop a program that can enhance teaching efficacy by cultivating TTC and support teachers who want to strengthen competence, and more practical opportunities to practice teaching.
