Version Management System of Hierarchy Interface System for CAD Database (CAD 데이터 베이스를 위한 HIS에서의 버전 관리 시스템)

  • For a effective management and easy tool integration of CAD database, Hierarchy interface System(HIS) was designed and GROCO(Graph Representation fOr Complex Objects) Model was presented in another my paper[10]. Hierarchy Interface System which is composed of two subsystems of a configurator and a converter is designed for the interface between a conventional database management system and CAD tools. In this paper, Version Management System is presented for supporting effective operations of HIS using GROCO model. Version Management System supports efficiently CAD database charaters having a hierarchical structure of composite objects. In Version Management System, A design evolves in discrete states through mutation and derivation for going phases of design giving rise to multiple versions. Operations and rules are provided transition between their different states. and for controlling update propagation and preventing version proliferation. Version Modeling Graph is proposed for dealing with versioning at the instance and type levels.

Study on Single-Phase Thermal and Hydrodynamic Characteristics in the Entry Region of a Mini-Channel Heat Sink (히트싱크 미세채널 내의 입구유동 영역에서의 단상 열유동 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Although the advance in electronic technology enables a large number of circuity to be packed in a small volume, it is simultaneously required to remove the high heat load produced by them. In this study, the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of a mini-channel heat exchanger, which is designed for liquid cooling of electronic components, are investigated by varying operating conditions. Water and FC-72 were used as working fluids. The mini-channel heat exchanger was made with circular shape channels having din-meters of 2, 3, and 4 mm in regular intervals, and the channel length was 100 mm. The header and inlet guide pathway to provide uniform inflow were attached at the inlet of the test section. Copper block including the heaters was attached at the sidewall of the test section as a heat source, which provided the heat flux from 5 to $15W/cm^2$. The entrance effects enhanced the heat transfer coefficient in the mini-channel significantly. In addition, the single-phase pressure drop in the mini-channel was very similar to that predicted by the laminar flow correlation except that the transition Re decreased due to flow instability in the entrance region.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new algorithm of pulse generation and detection for the UWB multimedia communication system. The existing UWB systems using Gaussian pulse have some difficulties to cope with bandwidth limitation and frequency transition. In this paper, we introduce a new pulse generation method, which is able to control the bandwidth and center frequency that applies to the frequency modulation method, thus the proposed algorithm could improve the detection performance of receiving. And we proposed the multi channel transmission algorithm which transmits 1 channel synthesized at same time using the wavelet synthesis filter. Because of wavelet filter's perfect reconstruction property, the BER(Bit Error Rate) of transmission data is not changed by the number of accessed user. BER is changed only the property of channel transmission. By the results of simulation, when shift SNR from 2dB to 8dB on AWGN channel, we confirmed that the proposed algerian has $3.9063{\times}10^{-4}$ BER at 4dB SNR(AWGN channel).

A New Test Algorithm for Bit-Line Sensitive Faults in High-Density Memories (고집적 메모리에서 BLSFs(Bit-Line Sensitive Faults)를 위한 새로운 테스트 알고리즘)

  • As the density of memories increases, unwanted interference between cells and coupling noise between bit-lines are increased. And testing high-density memories for a high degree of fault coverage can require either a relatively large number of test vectors or a significant amount of additional test circuitry. So far, conventional test algorithms have focused on faults between neighborhood cells, not neighborhood bit-lines. In this paper, a new test algorithm for neighborhood bit-line sensitive faults (NBLSFs) based on the NPSFs(Neighborhood Pattern Sensitive Faults) is proposed. And the proposed algorithm does not require any additional circuit. Instead of the conventional five-cell or nine-cell physical neighborhood layouts to test memory cells, a three-cell layout which is minimum size for NBLSFs detection is used. Furthermore, to consider faults by maximum coupling noise by neighborhood bit-lines, we added refresh operation after write operation in the test procedure(i.e.,$write{\rightarrow}\;refresh{\rightarrow}\;read$). Also, we show that the proposed algorithm can detect stuck-at faults, transition faults, coupling faults, conventional pattern sensitive faults, and neighborhood bit-line sensitive faults.

Phase Transitional Behavior and Piezoelectric Properties of 0.94(Na0.5K0.5NbO3-0.06Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1)O3 Lead-free Ceramics (무연계 0.94(Na0.5K0.5NbO3-0.06Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1)O3 세라믹의 상전이 거동과 압전 특성)

  • Lead-free $0.94(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3$-0.06Ba$(Ti_{0.9}Sn_{0.1})O_3$ [0.94NKN-0.06BTS] ceramics doped with 1 mol% $MnO_2$ were synthesized by a conventional solid state method. The phase transitional behavior and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics sintered at various temperatures were investigated. The 0.94NKN-0.06BTS ceramics sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$, having morphotropic phase boundary of orthorhombic and tetragonal phases, exhibited a microstructure with abnormal grain growth. A diffused phase transition behavior for all the specimens was verified as high degree of diffuseness (${\gamma}$) values from 1.45 to 1.79. A high piezoelectric constant of $d_{33}=256$ pC/N and a satisfactory electromechanical coupling factor of $k_p=42%$ were obtained for the relatively dense 0.94NKN-0.06BTS ceramics sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$.

Photoluminescence Characteristics of $Y_3Al_5O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Eu^{3+}$ Phosphors by $Eu^{3+}$ ions ($Eu^{3+}$ 농도에 따른 $Y_3Al_5O_{12}:Ce^{3+},Eu^{3+}$ 형광체의 광학적 특성)

  • For this study, Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) particles co-doped with $Ce^{3+}$ and $Eu^{3+}$ were prepared via the combustion process using the 1:1 ratio of metal ions to reagents. The characteristics of the synthesized nano powder were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and photoluminescence (PL). The various YAG peaks, with the (420) main peak, appeared at all Eu concentrationin XRD patterns. The YAG phase crystallized with results that are in good agreement with the JCPDS diffraction file 33-0040. The SEM image showed that the resulting YAG:Ce,Eu powders had uniform sizes and good homogeneity. The grain size was about 50nm. The photoluminescence spectra of the YAG:Ce,Eu nanoparticles were investigated to determine the energy level of electron transition related to luminescence processes. It was composed a broad band of $Ce^{3+}$ activator into the weak line peak of $Eu^{3+}$ in YAG host. The PL intensity of $Ce^{3+}$ has the wavelengths of 480-650 nm and The PL intensity of $Eu^{3+}$ has main peak at 590nm.

Ka-Band FMCW Sensor with High Linearity (고선형성을 갖는 Ka대역 FMCW 센서)

  • This paper presents a Ka-band FMCW sensor that has high linearity by improving a nonlinear behavior of the voltage controlled oscillator. Due to the nonlinear characteristics of the voltage controlled oscillator for the conventional method, the drift of beat frequency can cause inaccuracy and errors to the extracted results. A Ka-band FMCW signal with fast transition time could be generated by using both direct digital synthesizer and phase locked loop in this research. The implemented FMCW sensor showed very high accuracy in beat frequency through the test.

  • In this study, (0.80-x)Pb($Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}$)$O_3$-$PbTiO_3$-Pb($Ni_\frac{1}{2}W_\frac{1}{2}$)$O_3$ 0.05$\leq$x$\leq$0.20) ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method, the sintering temperature and time were 950∼1200[$^{\circ}C$], 2[hr], respectively. The dielectric and structural properties with composition and sintering temperature were investigated for the application as multilayer ceramic capacitors. Dielectric constant of 0.70PMN-0.2PT-0.10PNW composition with repeated calcination was increased rapidly. Increasing the Pb($Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}$)$O_3$-$PbTiO_3$-Pb($Ni_\frac{1}{2}W_\frac{1}{2}$)$O_3$ contents from 0.05 to 0.20 [mol], phase transition temperature was shifted from 68 to 2[$^{\circ}C$] and dielectric constant was decreased while sintered density was increased. In the specimens containing 0.10, 0.15[mol] of PNW, dielectri constants at room temperature were exhibited the highest values 11199, 10114, respectively. Resistivity of specimens were $10^{10}$$10^{12}$($\Omega$.m) and there was no dependence on sintering temperature and composition.

Nd1+XBa2-XCu3O7-δ Bulk Superconductor by Zone-melt Process

  • Two kinds of $Nd_{1+X}Ba_{2-X}Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$, the sintering samples and zone melting samples, were heat-treated under pure Ar at 950$^{circ}C$. The substitution of Nd ion for Ba ion in the $Nd_{1+X}Ba_{2-X}Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ before and after the heat treatment was investigated by XRD. In order to confirm the effects of the heat treatment, the Tc and Jc of samples with/without the heat treatment under Ar were comparatively studied. $Nd_{1+X}Ba_{2-X}Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ samples were oxygenated under pure oxygen at $300^{circ}C$. From the XRD pattern it was found that the sample with x<0.4 was transferred from tetragonal phase to orthorhombic phase after the oxygenation, while the sample with x>0.4 did not show the phase transition even after a long time oxygenation. Therefore, the low oxygen partial pressure (Ar+1 % O$_2$) was used for the ambient atmosphere of the zone-melting samples, which could reduce the melting temperature and depress the substitution of Nd for Ba. After the improvement in the zone-melting process, the Jc value was increased to 2 x $10^4$A/$cm^2$ (0 T, 78 K). The particle orientation and the structure of zone-melted NdBaCuO were studied by the XRD and SEM analysis.

Study of Basic Properties to Develope SiC Ceramic Heater by Self-Charge with Electricity (자기 통전식 SiC세라믹 발열체 개발을 위한 기초 특성 연구)

  • The composites were fabricated $\beta$-SiC and $TiB_2$ powders with the liquid forming additives of 8, 12, 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ as a sintering aid by pressureless annealing at $1,650[^{\circ}C]$ for 4 hours. Reactions between SiC and transition metal $TiB_2$ were not observed in the microstructure and the phase analysis of the pressureless annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites. The relative density, the flexural strength, the Young's modulus and the Vicker's hardness showed the highest value of 82.29[%], 189.5[MPa], 54.60 [GPa] and 2.84[GPa] for SiC-$TiB_2$ composites added with 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature. The relative density of SiC-$TiB_2$ composites was lowered due to gaseous products of the result of reaction between SiC and $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$. The electrical resistivity showed the lowest value of 0.012[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$] for 16[wt%] at 25[$^{\circ}C$]. The electrical resistivity was all negative temperature coefficient resistance (NTCR) in the temperature ranges from 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 700[$^{\circ}C$].
