  • With the development of quantum computers, ring signature schemes based on large integer prime factorization, discrete logarithm problem, and bilinear pairing are under threat. For this reason, we design a ring signature scheme based on lattice with a fixed verification key. Compared with the previous ring signature scheme based on lattice, our design has a fixed verification key and does not disclose the signer's identity. Meanwhile, we propose an anonymous electronic voting scheme by using our ring signature scheme based on lattice and (t, n) threshold scheme, which makes up for the lack of current anonymous electronic voting that cannot resist attacks of the quantum computer. Finally, under standard model (SM), we prove that our ring signature scheme based on lattice is anonymous against the full-key exposure, and existentially non-forgeable against insider corruption. Furthermore, we also briefly analyze the security of our anonymous electronic voting scheme.

  • It requires a lot of costs and manpower to manage an election. The electronic voting scheme can make the election system economic and trustful. The widespread use of smart phones causes mobile voting to be a major issue. The smart phone can be used as a mobile voting platform since it can carry out many services in addition to basic telephone service. To make mobile voting practical and trustful, we analyzed two subjects of study. Firstly, the way to make a biometric based mobile ID, which has legal binding forces. In mobile voting, user identification is accomplished on line since the voter should be able to vote wherever they go. The digital ID conducts a similar role to the need for a resident card. The user's identity is bound to the resident card legally. To bind the user's identity to the smart phone, we use USIM. Biometric recognition is also needed to authenticate the user, since the user cannot prove him or her on line face-to-face. The proposed mobile ID can be reissued by means of introducing a random secret value. Secondly, the mobile voting scheme is proposed where candidates can accept election results without doubt. The goal of an election is to select a leader among two or more candidates. Existing electronic voting schemes mainly focus on the study of ballot verification accomplished by voters. These approaches are not safe against collusion attacks where candidates and the election administration center are able to collude to fabricate election results. Therefore, a new type of voting and counting method is needed where candidates can directly take part in voting and counting stages. The biometric based multi-signature scheme is used to make the undeniable multi-signed ballot. The ballot cannot be verified without the help of all candidates. If candidates accept election results without a doubt, the fairness of the election is satisfied.

  • It requires a lot of costs and manpower to manage the election system. The electronic voting scheme is needed to make the election system to be economic and fair. Especially, wide spread use of smart phones and wireless networks makes the mobile voting is of major concern. In mobile voting scheme, a smart phone user can vote regardless of the places. In this paper, the mobile voting scheme is proposed where candidates can guarantee fairness of the election system. We analyze mobile voting requirements and create the mobile ID which has legal binding forces and PKI based digital signature keys. In the proposed scheme, a voter's ballot is signed by all candidates using undeniable multi-signature scheme. During the counting stage, the multi-signature on the ballot is not verified without help of all candidates.

  • The development of digital technology has changed the lives of many people in terms of the velocity and convenience of completing tasks. This technology has also been applied to the process of voting, yet electronic voting is seldom used. The existing electronic voting scheme operates by applying various encryption algorithms. This type of electronic voting can be problematic since the administrator is given full authority. The administrator cannot always be trusted, and the contents of the ballot could be forged or tampered by a single point of failure. To resolve these problems, researchers continue to apply blockchain technology to electronic voting. Blockchain technology provides reliability and data integrity because all untrusted network participants have the same data. In this paper, we propose an electronic voting system that secures reliability by applying blockchain technology to electronic voting and ensures secret voting.

  • Many areas of human activities are computerized with the wide spread use of computers and communication networks.Electrinic voting is an important social activity in democtatic society. The realization of electronic democracy is based on the sectrity of edectronic voting scheme. Therefore, it is necessary to use the cryto-graphic technique for secure electronic voting scheme. Therefore, it is necessary to use the cryto-graghic technique for secure election. In this stusy, an dedctronic voting scheme sutiable for large election is proposed. In order to make practi-cal volting scheme, we assume that the voting authorization center is trustful and the chaum's anonymous com-munication channel[6] prepared before the election day.The center authorizes the ballot of eligible voter by using the ID based digital signature scheme in the registeation stage.During the voting stage, undeniable chal-lenge/ response prorocol is performed between the center and the boters to ensure that the intemediate voting results should not affect the entire. The proprsed scheme fully conforms to the requirments of large scale election such as privacy of the voters, fairness, unresuability, unforgeability and eligbility.

  • Electronic voting schemes must provide universal verifiability and receipt-freeness, as well as basic properties such as privacy, eligibility, to make the election fair and transparent. But it is difficult to provide both universal verifiability and receipt-freeness because they are mutually contradictory in their objective. To date, most electronic voting schemes provide only one of these properties and those few that provide both properties are not practical due to heavy computational load. In this paper, we present an efficient electronic voting scheme that provides both properties. The proposed scheme uses a trusted third party called HR(Honest Randomizer) and requires only one-way untappable channels from HRs to voters. Among the schemes that assume only one-way untappable channel this scheme requires the least amount of computation. Among the schemes that provide both properties, this scheme uses the weakest physical assumption. We also discuss the security of the system and compare our scheme with other related schemes.

  • With the development of information and communication technologies, especially wireless networks and cell phones, the e-voting system becomes popular as its cost-effectiveness, swiftness, scalability, and ecological sustainability. However, the current e-voting schemes are faced with the problem of privacy leakage and further cause worse vote-buying and voter-coercion problems. Moreover, in large-scale voting, some previous e-voting system encryption scheme with pairing operation also brings huge overhead pressure to the voting system. Thus, it is a vital problem to design a protocol that can protect voter privacy and simultaneously has high efficiency to guarantee the effective implementation of e-voting. To address these problems, our paper proposes an efficient unidirectional proxy re-encryption scheme that provides the re-encryption of vote content and the verification of users' identity. This function can be exactly applied in the e-voting system to protect the content of vote and preserve the privacy of the voter. Our proposal is proven to be CCA secure and collusion resistant. The detailed analysis also shows that our scheme achieves higher efficiency in computation cost and ciphertext size than the schemes in related fields.

  • In this study, the undeniable digital multi-signature scheme based on the discrete logarithms is proposed. The proposed multi-signature scheme satisfies undeniability and is secure against active attacks such as fabrication and denial of multi-signature by signers. It is suitable for electronic election scheme in which several administrators are required. Especially in case of dispute among voters and administrators, the proposed scheme can resolve it due to the undeniable property. It can provide fair electronic election by minimizing the role of voting center, and can enable user-oriented electronic election.

  • Current electronic voting systems are not sufficient to satisfy trustworthy elections as they do not provide any proof or confirming evidence of their honesty. This lack of trustworthiness is the main reason why e-voting is not widespread even though e-voting is expected to be more efficient than the current plain paper voting. Many experts believe that the only way to assure voters that their intended votes are casted is to use paper receipts. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme for issuing receipts to voters in an e-voting environment using the well-known cut-and-choose method. Our scheme does not require any special printers or scanners, nor frequent observations of voting machines. In addition, our scheme is more secure than the previous schemes.

  • In this paper, we present an electronic voting system based on cryptographic techniques. Recently, some countries have used e-voting systems using an electronic voting device instead of a voting sheet. These e-voting systems are the early stage which is not online voting. Many cryptographers have studied on-line e-voting systems based on cryptographic techniques. The existing 1-out-of-L e-voting systems are based on E1Gamal cryptosystem. To reduce computational complexity, we use r-th residue encryption scheme and compare the computational complexity of our 1-out-of-L e-voting system with that of the 1-out-of-L e-voting system based on E1Gamal cryptosystem. Moreover, we extend the proposed 1-out-of-L e-voting system to ballot-cancellation property The existing e-voting systems had been overlooked the ballot-cancellation property. There is the reason that the ballot is cancelled according to an election law. For our e-voting system with ballot-cancellation property, we extend the homomorphic property based on r-th residue encryption. The extended homomorphic property is used to cancel votes with guaranteeing privacy and universal verifiability.
