열처리 조건에 따른 Rubrene 박막의 결정 특성 변화 연구

  • We observed the changes of crystal structure of Rubrene (5,6,11,12-tetraphenylnaphthacene) polycrystal thin films at various in situ substrate temperature and process by scanning electron microscope(SEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) and near-field microwave microprobe (NFMM). Amorphous rubrene thin film was initially obtained on 200 nm thick $SiO_2/Si$ substrate at 35 $^{\circ}C$ in a vacuum evaporation but in situ long time postannealing at the temperature 80 $^{\circ}C$ transformed the amorphous phase into crystalline. Four heating conditions are followed : (a) preheating (b) annealing (c) preheating, annealing (d) preheating, cooling(35 $^{\circ}C$), annealing. We have obtained the largest polycrystal disk in sample (c). But the highest crytallity and conductivity of the rubrene thin films were obtained in sample (d).

고농도 Out Gas 정량 분석법 개발

  • 본 연구는 MLCC 구성성분의 증발/비등에 의한 저분자물질의 제거가 bar 수축에 미치는 영향도를 평가하기 위해, 압착 bar에서 발생하는 고농도의 out gas를 정량하기 위한 최적 system을 구축하고자 하였다. gas 포집에 범용적으로 사용하는 Purge & Trap sampler 대신 Heating block를 사용하여 gas를 발생시키고 동시에 solvent에 용해시킴으로써 고농도의 시료가 희석될 수 있는 전처리 장치를 디자인하였다. 그 결과 고농도 gas 주입에 의한 장비오염과 peak saturation 문제가 해결되었고, gas phase의 시료를 liquid phase로 상전이 시켜 autosampler를 이용한 정확한 량의 시료 주입이 가능하였다. System의 Gage Linearity와 Bias는 각각 1.7%와 1.3%로 개선이 필요없는 수준의 정확도를 가졌다.

Design of a Controller for the Heat Capacity of Thermal Storage Systems Using Off-Peak Electricity (축열식 심야전력기기를 위한 축열량 제어기 설계)

  • This paper presnts a controller for the heat capacity of thermal storage systems using off-peak electricity which is composed of an identifier using neural networks and a storage time adjuster in order to store exactly the required thermal energy without loss. Since thermal storage systems have nonlinear characteristics and large time constant, even if we predict the heating load accurately, it is very difficult to store exactly the required thermal energy. Thus, in the neural network for the identifier, the adaptive learning rate for high learning speed and bit inputs based on state changes of thermal storage power source are used. Also a hardware for the controller using a microprocessor is developed. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by experiment.

  • This paper reports the fabrication and characterization of $32{\times}32$ thermal cantilever array for nano-scaled memory device applications. The $32{\times}32$ thermal cantilever array with integrated tip heater has been fabricated with micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS) technology on silicon on insulator(SOI) wafer using 9 photo masking steps. All of single-level cantilevers(1,024 bits) have a p-n junction diode in order to eliminate any electrical cross-talk between adjacent cantilevers. Nonlinear electrical characteristic of fabricated thermal cantilever shows its own thermal heating mechanism. In addition, n-channel high-voltage MOSFET device is integrated on a wafer for embedding driver circuitry.

  • Material Characteristics of zirconium oxide thin films obtained by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition on p-type Si(100) substrates were investigated to explain their unable electrical properties. The films obtained without heating had polycrystalline nanograins that are mostly of a tetragonal phase under oxygen-deficient plasma conditions but transformed into a monoclinic phase with increasing $O_2$ addition in the plasma. Mostly amorphous bulk $ZrO_2$ with a relatively thicker and smoother interfacial layer was obtained from oxygen-rich plasmas, resulting in a decrease in both the overall dielectric constant and the leakage current density. the interfacial layer formed between the bulk $ZrO_2$ and Si substrate was analyzed to be zirconium silicate, which approached $SiO_2$ as its zirconium content decreased with the increasing gas phase $O_2$ content.

  • Performance of a water-to-water multi-type heat pump system using R22 has been experimentally investigated. Total refrigerant flow rate was adjusted with a variable speed compressor and the refrigerant flow rate for two indoor units were controlled by electronic expansion valves. Evaporator outlet pressure of refrigerant and indoor unit outlet temperatures of secondary fluid were selected as controlled variables. Experiments were carried out for both cooling and heating modes using PID control method. Results show that the multi-type heat pump system can be adequately controlled by keeping control gains at certain levels for various operating conditions.

  • The pool boiling behavior of a heated surface has been investigated experimentally, focusing on the cases when only a part of the contact surface is heated. Characteristic boiling curves are obtained with circular metal surface test pieces heated below while immersed in Refrigerant-113. Locally heated test pieces are fabricated by inserting a heating block at the center inside a larger conducting block. Overall heat transfer rates are measured while the experimental conditions are systematically varied. The local temperature profiles along the radius are measured for conducting blocks. It is found that the conjugated boiling condition exists and the total heat fluxes should be correlated to a suitably defined temperature difference.

A Study on the Electrical and Optical Properties of CdS Thin Film by Annealing for Solar Cell (태양전지용 CdS 박막의 열처리에 따른 전기 및 광학적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, CdS thin films well-known to window layer for solar cell were fabricated by means of vacuum evaporation method treated with different substrate heating. During film fabrication the substrates were heated at 50, 75 and $100^{\circ}C$, respectively. The thin films were then annealed at $200^{\circ}C$ in atmosphere, and the electrical and optical properties were investigated. By annealing, the hexagonal structure of films was changed into cubic structure. Their transmissivity was also increased and moved to longer wave band. It was shown that the film fabricated with the substrate heat-treated at $50^{\circ}C$ had the lowest resistivity.

Thermal characteristics of high-temperature measurement sensor using fiber Bragg grating (FBG를 이용한 고온 측정 센서의 온도특성)

  • In this paper, we present thermal characteristics of high-temperature measurement sensor using fiber Bragg grating(FBG), including peak reflectivity, FWHM bandwidth and various normalized refractive index change along temperature variation. The temperature stability of FBG temperature sensor can be changed by varying the refractive index change and grating length. The proposed FBG temperature sensor can measure up to about $600^{\circ}C$ and 1000 hours of heating time.

  • Carbon nitride films were grown on Si (100) substrate by a laser-electric discharge method with and without a magnetic field assistance. The magnetic field leads to vapor plume plasma expending upon the ambient arc discharge plasma area. Influence of the magnetic field has resulted in increase of a crystallite size in the films due to bombardment (heating) of Si substrates by energetic carbon and nitrogen species generated during cyclotron motion of electrons in the discharge zone. Many crystalline grains were observed in the morphology of the deposited films by scanning electron microscopy. In order to determine the structural crystalline parameters, X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analysis the grown films.
