  • The purpose of the Air Traffic Control(ATC) system is to provide a safe, efficient flow of air traffic from origin to destination. Therefor, it is important to reduce the operational errors. Most of errors occurs from controllers. So, we suggest the human machine interface scheme for Air Traffic Control system.

  • In this paper, we suggest a system architecture for korean air traffic control system through investigating a korean ARTS (Automated radar terminal system) and ACC (Area control center) system. We focus on designing a network architecture for supporting both an approaching control and an area control. This paper will be a base for developing korean air traffic control system by ourselves.

  • This paper presents a new Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) for power switching device based on Non Punch Through(NPT) IGBT structure. The proposed structure has adding N+ beside the P-base region of the conventional IGBT structure. The proposed device has faster turn-off time and lower forward conduction loss than the conventional IGBT structure.

  • In this paper examines theoretical analysis of passive intermodulation and its methods of measurement and procedure. And based on the results of field measurement, it defines the reasons of passive intermodulation of base stations, suggests characteristics by device and methods of improvement to minimize the influence of a base station on passive intermodulation, and compares and analyzes the results of field measurement before and after the reasons are improved to secure the characteristics by device and the utility and adequacy of methods of improvement.

  • This paper describes the required frequency bandwidth which is used as a measure for the quality of the PFM transmission system to transmit the control signals. First, the PFM signal which has been distorted due to the frequency bandwidth limit on the transmission line is analyzed by Fourier transform and secondly distortion which has been observed at the receiver is numerically analyzed to make the frequency bandwidth required for transmitting the PFM signals. According to the analysis heretofore, the 50% threshold level for shaping the received PFM signal, which is of 50 % in TTL level, is superior than the 10- and 90-% threshold levels.

  • In this paper, we propose a modified feedback neural network structure for adaptive control of robot manipulators. The proposed structure is that all of network output feedback into hidden units and output units. Learning algorithm is standard back-propagation algorithm. The simulation showed the effectiveness of using the new neural network structure in the adaptive control of robot manipulators.

  • For the I-V modeling of sharp tip arrays and nanostructured planar emitters, we propose a new and much practical I-V relation including tip height and radius by considering a statistical distribution of tip radius. Frequently observed nonlinearity of Fowler-Nordheim plot for sharp tip and tip arrays was successfully simulated and then, an application example was provided to extract relevant emission-governing parameters of sharp tip.

  • A prototype of 25-inch SMPDP module had been developed by the end of 2004. Most driving technologies succeeded to those of the previous 34-inch SMPDP module .In this work, we make an optimization effort on the driving waveforms, especially for setup period. Long ramp waves show good wall voltage controllability, with which we can get a reliable addressing and better sustain stability.
