Now, Using high-speed Internet network for information processing and exchange of information on the research and development is active. To do this, Electronic document standards for more efficient and accurate operations shall be conducted. Accordingly, Standards bodies from around the world proposed various standards, and Typically The EDI is standardized system for exchanging data between companies. EDI is one form of e-commerce. And, through the transactions between companies to standardize data and documents. And using a computer network between the parties directly for sending and receiving. But, Companies and other businesses to deliver the document as defined, so data are fixed and formalized at the time of the extension causes problems and structured data search and processing is impossible. In this paper, While using structure and expanding Internet-standard language the XML for EDI document processing system was designed and implemented.

Korean government, port and logistics companies have given a lot of their efforts to exchange electronic documents between themselves and their partners. As the results of them, Korean EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) standards were made by Korean EDIFACT committee and the standards have been used by companies and governmental organizations in Korea. However, Korean port and logistics EDI system is based on YAN(Value Added Network) and one VAN company has monopolistic right to relay EDI documents to Korean HOMAF(Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries) and Customs Service. Therefore it leads to a lot of problems such as inconvenient software, expensive transmission fee, insufficient improvement of business process and the difficulty of connection with the in-house systems of user companies. For solving these problems, this study is aimed to progress for XML and XML-based electronic commerce framework. This paper shows a optimal XML/EDl method using XML/EDl, BizTalk Framework, ebXML Framework. Fer improving extant problems in port and logistics industry, this paper proposed XML/EDl system based on system architectural level, support technical level, business infrastructure level.

The purpose of this study, based on domestic sample businesses using EDI systems, is to identify success factors, which affect adoption of EDI systems by domestic business entities. And this paper also intends to provide guideline important in the establishment and management of EDI systems based factors identified. The major contents of this research are as follow. This paper, first, tries to develop conceptual framework based on previous research to identify factors which affect successful adoption of EDI systems. Second, it intends to develop new version of survey questionnaire by referring to various survey questionnaires previously used by similar studies. Third, it also intends to the extent of each factor on the successful adoption and implementation of EDI systems, and examines proposed hypotheses.

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) has been widely utilized to support Business Activities since it has such advantages as fast transfer of information, less documentation work, efficient information exchange etc. Recently e-business environment has urged the traditional EDI system to be changed to ebXML framework. To apply the ebXML framework to a certain industry, it is required to implement Business Process (BP), Core Component (CC), Collaboration Protocol Profile (CPP), Collaboration Protocol Agreement (CPA), Messaging system etc. We have selected the port and logistics industry as a target domain to apply ebXML framework, since the EDI usage ratio of it is relatively higher than other industries. In this paper, we have analyzed the current status of EDI system and transaction processes in the port and logistics industry. We have defined the business process that will be registered in the registry/repository, the main component of ebXML framework, using UN/CEFACT modeling methodology. And Business Collaborations, Business Transactions, Business Document Flows, Choreography, Pattern, etc. are represented using UML according to UN/ CEFACT modeling methodology, to apply ebXML Framework to the port and logistics distribution industry. Also we have suggested the meta methodology for applying the ebXML framework to other industries.

Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) has the potential to improve business operations by expediting the exchange of business documents. It will also provide substantive operational and strategic benefits to the trading firms. However, the successful implementation of EDI systems requires the mutual trust and cooperation between the trading firms. The extent of EDI diffusion and performance depends on inter-organizational, intra-organizational, as well as innovation factors. Researches based on the sociopolitical process framework in the use of IT, organizational theory, resource dependence theory, and innovation diffusion theory have identified 3 inter-organizational variables(transaction climate, dependence, external IS expert support) and 4 intra-organizational variables(strategic IS planning, infrastructure, top management support, education/training,), and 3 innovation variables(compatibility, relative advantage, cost) that affect EDI diffusion. In this study, a multi-dimensional measure on EDI diffusion has been developed to capture the external and internal integration. Then, the influence of these 10 variables on the extent to which the EDI adopting firms pursue diffusion has been examined. Whether more diffusion leads to superior performance has also been studied. International trade managers from 107 firms in the trade industry participated in a field survey. The results based on a structural equation model(SEM), developed using AMOS, provide quite a strong support for the hypothesized relations. Both education/training and IT infrastructure influenced external and internal diffusion of EDI systems. Internal diffusion of EDI enables the adopting firms to improve operational and strategic performance, whereas external diffusion contributes only to operational performance.

The telecommunications of previous years have been utilized for internal usages, but those in current years have widely extended even to usages for Interorganizational Information System(IOIS) beyond its internal uses. Electronic Data Interchange(EDI), a subsidiary form of IOIS which permits interorganizational electronical exchanges of transaction documents through the telecommunications networks between and among computers, is expected to bring forth various innovative results with improved efficiency and productivity through the improvement and simplification of transaction processes, And it became needed and significant to review studies with practical values and necessity. This study is implemented on the basis of a judgement that Korea businesses can improve some of their structural problems of high costs by successfully adopting and implementing EDI system in their organizations. And it's also realized that more studies on the related subjects will benefit and be valuable for various applications. The major objectives of this research is to identify factors influencing in the implementation of EDI system by Korean business entities. Business which already implementation EDI system in their organizations were subjected to the survey. Also, this study intended to identify variables influencing in the implementation of EDI system and further provide directions needed in establishing or managing EDI system.

With expanded use of B2B(between enterprises), B2G(between enterprises and government) and EDI(Electronic Data Interchange), and increased amount of available network information and information protection threat, as it was judged that security can not be perfectly assured only with security technology such as electronic signature/authorization and access control, Bayesian networks have been developed for protection of information. Therefore, this study speculates Bayesian networks system, centering on ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning). The Bayesian networks system is one of the methods to resolve uncertainty in electronic data interchange and is applied to overcome uncertainty of abnormal invasion detection in ERP. Bayesian networks are applied to construct profiling for system call and network data, and simulate against abnormal invasion detection. The host-based abnormal invasion detection system in electronic trade analyses system call, applies Bayesian probability values, and constructs normal behavior profile to detect abnormal behaviors. This study assumes before and after of delivery behavior of the electronic document through Bayesian probability value and expresses before and after of the delivery behavior or events based on Bayesian networks. Therefore, profiling process using Bayesian networks can be applied for abnormal invasion detection based on host and network. In respect to transmission and reception of electronic documents, we need further studies on standards that classify abnormal invasion of various patterns in ERP and evaluate them by Bayesian probability values, and on classification of B2B invasion pattern genealogy to effectively detect deformed abnormal invasion patterns.

This study investigated a special class or Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) system. While it has been predicted that the use of EDI will have a significant impact on the competitive advantage of organization. very little is known about the successful construction of such system. A few studies done in this area have relied on anecdotal data on data based on a small number of case studies. The major objectives of the research are to identify the factors that facilitate the adoption and successful construction of an EDI system, and to evaluate the impact of the EDI system on competitive advantage of the organization. Based on the EDI literature. organizational performance is modeled to be affected by three independent variables: EDI system. communication. trust. The level of EDI system was used as control variable. The data used to test the model were collected in a mail survey from department store in Korea. The results indicate that organizational performance is affected by EDI system, communication. The paper concludes with a discussion of future directions for research in the area of test EDI models.

본 논문은 인터넷과 통신매체의 확산과 더불어 최근에는 기업간, 기업과 정부간에 주로 정형적인 문서교환에 활용되던 초기의 EDI(Electronic Data Interchange)가 멀티미디어 정보교환이 가능한 인터넷의 보급, 확산과 함께 소비자를 대상으로 하는 전자상거래(EC : Electronic Commerce)로 급속히 확산되고 있으며, 이를 지원하기 위해 기업의 정보화 기반을 구현하는 ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)도 요구되고 있다. 그러나, 전자상거래는 네트워크를 통하여 형성되므로 사용자들은 서로 만나지 않고 거래하게 된다. 이는 전자상거래의 장점이기도 하지만, 반대로 상호간의 신분에 대한 인증이 쉽지 않다는 단점이 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 위험을 방지하기 위한 보안기술 및 암호기술에 대해 연구하고자 한다.
