3전극방식을 활용한 철근 콘크리트의 교류임피던스 측정 시 전기화학 셀저항의 영향 (Effect of Total Resistance of Electrochemical Cell on Electrochemical Impedance of Reinforced Concrete Using a Three-Electrode System)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 3전극방식으로 전기화학적 임피던스분광법(EIS)를 활용한 콘크리트 속 철근의 분극저항을 측정할 때 전기화학 셀저항에 따른 인가전압의 변화를 실험적으로 확인하고, 안정적인 측정값을 획득을 위한 실험조건을 찾는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 셀저항을 구성하는 요소 중 콘크리트 건조상태, 전극의 커플링상태(접촉저항) 및 상대전극의 면적을 주요변수 설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 지름 200mm인 정사각형 콘크리트 실험체 중심에 D22 철근이 부분적으로 매입된 실험체를 준비하여, 주요변수의 조합으로 구성된 다양한 실험조건에서 EIS을 수행하였으며 이때 포텐쇼스탯에서 인가된 전압을 측정하였다. 본 연구의 실험결과를 통하여, 3전극 방식으로 콘크리트 속 철근의 부식속도를 측정할 경우, 측정장치의 추종전압보다 측정 시 요구되는 인가전압이 충분히 큰 경우 셀저항의 변화는 EIS 측정에 큰 영향을 주지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 참조전극과 기준전극을 콘크리트 표면에 부착된 상태에서 EIS에서 콘크리트의 건조상태 및 상대전극의 면적에 대한 영향에 비하여 전극과 표면의 접촉저항의 영향이 지배적인 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 해양환경에 노출된 콘크리트와 같이 침지 및 건조 반족 조건에 노출된 콘크리트에서 3전극방식의 EIS 측정으로 철근 부식속도 및 상태평가를 위한 센서 개발에 기본 데이터로 활용될 수 있다.

  • This paper describes the electrochemical and photochemical behavior of amphiphilic Os bipyridine compelx adsorbed on SnO$_2$electrodes by the Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) film as monolayer state. Theoretical equation of cyclicvoltammetry for redox species were discussed. And the cyclic voltammogram were simulated taking account theinteraction parameters. From these obtained values, we could fit almost all measured voltammograms with these parameters.

  • Lead-acid battery is used widely as a power source in the automobile, industrial machines, folk lifts U.P.S etc. But this battery has man\ulcorner disadvantages such as heavy low energy density, environment problem etc. In this paper, we have studied the physicochemical and electrochemical properties of lead-acid battery positive plates with regard to the method of curing. It has been observed that curing conditions strongly influence electrode composition and electrchemical performance.

  • This paper was studied on the corrosion and corrosion-wear behavior of chromium (Cr) plating in the acidic environments. In the various pH of acidic solutions, the electrochemical polarization test and wear-corrosion test of Cr plating were carried out. And thus potential, corrosion current density and corrosion-wear loss behaviour of Cr plating are investigated.

  • 용융탄산염 연료전지에서 분리판으로 사용되는 316L 스테인리스 스틸의 내식성을 향상시키기 위해 Ni과 Al을 전기도금법에 의해 코팅하였으며 열처리를 통해 스테인리스 스틸표면에 $Ni_2Al_3$, NiAl 등의 금속간화합물을 형성시켰다. $62mol\%Li_2CO_3-38mol\%K_2CO_3$ 전해질 내에서 100시간 동안 침지실험을 수행한 결과 Al의 도금두께가 $10{\mu}m$ 이상인 경우에는 내식성이 상당히 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

  • The voltammetric study on a water-soluble calix[4]arene-diquinone-diacid (CDA) in pH 7.4 in the presence of $Ca^{2+}$ ion provided important information about the unique electrochemical behavior of CDA-$Ca^{2+}$ complex. Using CDA, $Ca^{2+}$ ion in aqueous solution was recognized quantitatively by voltammetric techniques.

  • The large and high-speed vessels have been greatly advanced, but ship materials have been caused the problem such as corrosion, cavitation and erosion. Cavitation can produce material damage such as pumps, turbines, valves and ship propellers etc. To solve these problems, the cavitation and electrochemical characteristics for thermal spray coating and the sealing are executed to obtain the excellent corrosion protection characteristics in sea water environment.

Voltammetric Behaviors of Chemically Modified Electrodes Based on Zirconium Phosphonate Film

  • Electroactive monolayers based on zirconium(Ⅳ) phosphonate film were prepared on gold and tin oxide electrodes by sequential layer-by-layer depostion technique. High transfer coefficient values and surface coverages of surface bound redox molecules were obtained from the electrochemical measurements of heterogeneous electron transfer rates for monolayer modified electrodes. 1,10-Decanediylbis(phosphonic acid) (DBPA) monolayer as insulating barrier was effective in blocking electron transfer. However, these film modified oxide electrode shows voltammetric behavior of diffusion/permeation process taking place at very small exposed area of modified electrode through channels due to structural defects within film when a very fast redox couple such as Ru(NH3)63+ is hired.

Effects of surface modification with hydroxyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane on the corrosion protection of polyurethane coating

  • Polyurethane coating was designed to give a hydrophobic property on its surface by modifying it with hydroxyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane and then effects of surface hydrophobic tendency, water transport behavior and hence corrosion protectiveness of the modified polyurethane coating were examined using FT-IR/ATR spectroscopy, contact angle measurement and electrochemical impedance test. As results, the surface of polyurethane coating was changed from hydrophilic to hydrophobic property due primarily to a phase separation tendency between polyurethane and modifier by the modification. The phase separation tendency is more appreciable when modified by polydimethylsiloxane with higher content. Water transport behavior of the modified polyurethane coating decreased more in that with higher hydrophobic surface property. The decrease in the impedance modulus ${\mid}Z{\mid}$ at low frequency region in immersion test for polyurethane coatings was associated with the water transport behavior and surface hydrophobic properties of modified polyurethane coatings. The corrosion protectiveness of the modified polyurethane coated carbon steel generally increased with an increase in the modifier content, confirming that corrosion protectiveness of the modified polyurethane coating is well agreed with its water transport behavior.
