건전성 지표 기반 주성분분석(PCA)을 적용한 고용량 배터리 팩의 열화 인자 추출 방법 및 SOH 진단 기법 연구 (SOH Estimation and Feature Extraction using Principal Component Analysis based on Health Indicator for High Energy Battery Pack)

  • An energy storage system is composed of lithium-ion batteries in modern applications. Batteries are regarded as storage devices for renewable and residual energy. The failure of batteries can cause the performance reduction and explosion of battery systems. High maintenance cost is essential when dealing with the problem of battery safety. Therefore an accurate health diagnosis is required to ensure the high reliability of battery systems. A battery pack is a combination of single cells in series and parallel connections. A battery pack has to consider various factors to assess battery health. Battery health involves conventional factors and additional factors, such as cell-to-cell imbalance. For large applications, state-of-health (SOH) can be inaccurate because of the lack of factors that indicate the state of the battery pack. In this study, six characterization factors are proposed for improving the SOH estimation of battery packs. The six proposed characterization factors can be regarded as health indicators (HIs). The six HIs are applied to the principal component analysis (PCA) algorithm. To reflect information regarding capacity, voltage, and temperature, the PCA algorithm extracts new degradation factors by using the six HIs. The new degradation factors are applied to a multiple regression model. Results show the advancement and improvement of SOH estimation.

Building Control Box Attached Monitor based Color Grid Recognition Methods for User Access Authentication

  • The secure access the lighting, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), fire safety, and security control boxes of building facilities is the primary objective of future smart buildings. This paper proposes an authorized user access to the electrical, lighting, fire safety, and security control boxes in the smart building, by using color grid coded optical camera communication (OCC) with face recognition Technologies. The existing CCTV subsystem can be used as the face recognition security subsystem for the proposed approach. At the same time a smart device attached camera can used as an OCC receiver of color grid code for user access authentication data sent by the control boxes to proceed authorization. This proposed approach allows increasing an authorization control reliability and highly secured authentication on accessing building facility infrastructure. The result of color grid code sequence received by the unauthorized person and his face identification allows getting good results in security and gaining effectiveness of accessing building facility infrastructure. The proposed concept uses the encoded user access authentication information through control box monitor and the smart device application which detect and decode the color grid coded informations combinations and then send user through the smart building network to building management system for authentication verification in combination with the facial features that gives a high protection level. The proposed concept is implemented on testbed model and experiment results verified for the secured user authentication in real-time.

효과적인 소방활동을 위한 지하주차장 스프링클러설비 송수배관 연결방식의 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Connection Method of Underground Parking Lot SP Equipment Water Supply Pipe for Effective Fire Activities)

  • A fire sprinkler system is very important to extinguish fire in the building. The sprinkler system initiates sprinkler discharge if the detection system identifies a developing fire and opens the pre-action valve. However, pre-action fire sprinkler systems mainly installed in the underground parking lot at the apartment complex do not properly operate at fire if the connection type of fire sprinkler systems does not properly installed and operated. This study identified the relationship between fire dispersion & damage and the connection type of water supply in the sprinkler system from many fire cases at the apartment complex in South Korea. In addition, this study also identified the water supply differences and characteristics between South Korea and foreign countries. The main purpose of this study is also to improve the water connection types in the sprinkler system that can reduce the potential failures of pre-action valve operation through electrical signal system. The study also suggests the improvement plan for water connection types in pre-action fire sprinkler system that can minimize potential failure of pre-action fire sprinkler system. The suggestions for revising the fire safe standard in South Korea includes letting the water supply pipe of sprinkler system water inlet connect to the second side of pre-action valve and the water flow device that can minimize potential failure of sprinkler system.

  • For the introduction of the electricity of the special design and supervision system to Protect the faulty-workmanship of the electricity equipment and to reserve the electricity safety, last 1995 "Electricity Technology Management Act" were carried out enactment. March 2002, we introduced the pre-Qualification system that is selected the competent company about the electricity design and supervision service over so much capacity which is ordered by the Public institution such as the nation, local autonomous entity, government investment institute and so on. December 2005, the electricity equipment over so much capacity was taken the housing construction plan's approval by the housing act in case, the municipal or district governor with the authority to approve who selected the electricity supervision company according to the pre-Qualification system. Due to the introduction of the system, we could expect the rights and interests increase of the consumer by eradicating dumping of the close relationship between supervision company and the builder, reduction and concurrent position of the supervisor, according to confirm the quality of the electricity equipment and electricity safety. In spite of introducing of the system, the problems occured as reducing the electricity designer's task range compared with different field, modifing the supervisor's rank system rationally, because of researching about the electricity design and supervision technique lacks. Also, KEEA(Korea Electric Engineers Association) manage the caller of the electricity design and supervisor(company or people), but the problems occured as opening to the public about the curler management, introducing automatic bidding system and We need the solution plan about this. Consequently, we consider the present situation of the domestic and outside and problem about the electricity design and supervision system in this paper, try to present rational operation plan through this.

지중 시설물 관리를 위한 스마트 맨홀 디바이스 (Smart Manhole Device for Underground Facility Management)

  • 지상의 각종 시설물들의 지중화가 이루어지며 상수도 및 오수의 악취, 전봇대 쓰러짐, 전자파 영향 및 선로작업에 의한 단선 등의 문제들은 줄어들었다. 그러나, 맨홀 뚜껑 개방에 의한 추락, 가연성 가스 폭발, 인체 유해 가스 및 산소농도 부족에 질식, 고압선 발열에 의한 화재 및 맨홀 침수 등 새로운 문제점들이 발생하고 있다. 또한, 이러한 문제들이 시민 사회의 피해를 주고 공공안전에 불안요소로 작용하고 있다. 이에 본 논문을 통해 맨홀 내 외부의 안정적인 통신환경을 확보하고, 맨홀 내 시설물을 관리하기 위한 다양한 디바이스들과의 무선 통신이 가능한 스마트 맨홀 디바이스에 중점을 두어 연구를 진행하고 향후 지중 시설물 관리의 방향성을 제시하고 공공 안전에 기여 하고자 한다.

전력선 통신과 비컨을 활용한 선박 건조 현장의 작업자 위치 추적 시스템 (Worker Location Tracking System of Shipyard using Power Line Communication and Beacon)

  • 본 논문은 선박 건조 현장에서 작업자 위치 추적 시스템의 모델링 및 구현 내용을 다룬다. 산업 현장에서 작업자의 위치 파악은 안전사고 예방을 위한 중요한 요소로 강조된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신과 비컨 통신을 결합한 시스템을 활용하여 작업자의 위치를 정확하게 추적하는 방법을 제시한다. 주요 구성 요소인 비컨 스캐너와 외부 모니터링 서버 시스템 구현을 다루며, 실험을 통해 시나리오별로 작업자의 위치 변화를 확인하고, 관리자 웹 서비스를 통해 작업자 위치 현황을 확인하는 방법을 제시한다. 이를 통해 안전 관리자에게 실시간 위치 정보를 제공하여 작업자의 안전을 보다 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

리튬이온 배터리의 화재 시험을 통한 열 전달 메커니즘 및 손상 평가 (Evaluation of Heat Transfer Mechanisms and Damage Assessment through Fire Testing of Lithium-Ion Batteries)

  • 본 논문은 리튬이온 배터리의 화재 시험을 통해 배터리 손상 및 열 전달 메커니즘을 평가하고, 배터리 관리 시스템(BMS)의 효율성과 안전성을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 모색한다. 각 섹터의 온도 변화는 T1, T2, T3 지점에서 측정하며, 발화 전극에 전기 투입 후 10분 동안 주변 셀들의 반응을 관찰하고 기록한다. 시험 결과, A 섹터와 B 섹터의 배터리는 완전 발화하여 심각한 물리적 손상을 입고, C 섹터의 배터리는 발화되지 않고 큰 손상을 입지 않는다. 이를 통해 섹터 간 간격이 발화 및 열 전파를 저감하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 확인한다. 본 논문은 리튬이온 배터리의 열 관리 시스템 설계 시 섹터 간 간격을 고려하여 발화 및 열 전파를 저감할 수 있는 중요한 설계 요소임을 시사하며, 향후 다양한 배터리 모델과 조건을 통해 추가적인 시험을 수행하여 BMS의 효율성과 안전성을 더욱 향상시킬 방안을 제안한다.

초고속 자기부상철도 시운전시험을 위한 종합계측시스템 개발 (The Overall Measurement System Development for On-line Test of Super-speed Maglev Train)

  • This paper presents the overall measurement system for on-line test of super-speed maglev train. The super-speed maglev train is composed of vehicle, propulsion, power, and so on. In order to evaluate and diagnose for sub-system, we made overall measurement system. Just like the other measurement system, it is designed to distributed type. The hardware is consist of SCXI, PXI, Terminal, UPS, and so forth. It is installed on a train, control room, power room and track to collect lots of signals. The software controls hardware system, monitors main data such as inverter current, converter voltage. Using the measurement system, we evaluated a lot of performances for vehicle, track, and so forth. Through the developed system have improved reliability and safety for super-speed maglev train.

AUTOSAR 플랫폼 기반 CDD를 활용한 비휘발성 메모리 수명 연장 기법 (A Non-volatile Memory Lifetime Extension Scheme Based on the AUTOSAR Platform using Complex Device Driver)

  • Recently, the number of automotive electrical and electronic system has been increased because the requirements for the convenience and safety of the drivers and passengers are raised. In most cases, the data for controlling the various sensors and automotive electrical and electronic system used in runtime should be stored on the internal or external non-volatile memory of the ECU(Electronic Control Units). However, the non-volatile memory has a constraint with write limitation due to the hardware characteristics. The limitation causes fatal accidents or unexpected results if the non-volatile memory is not managed. In this paper, we propose a management scheme for using non-volatile memory to prolong the writing times based on AUTOSAR(AUTOmotive Open System Architecture) platform. Our proposal is implemented on the CDD(Complex Device Driver) and uses an algorithm which swaps a frequently modified block for a least modified block. Through the development of the prototype, the proposed scheme extends the lifetime of non-volatile memory about 1.08 to 2.48 times than simply using the AUTOSAR standard.

셀프에너지 밸런싱을 고려한 리튬이온전지의 Battery Management System 구현 (Implementation of Battery Management System for Li-ion Battery Considering Self-energy Balancing)

  • 현재까지 총 29건의 전기저장장치의 화재가 발생되었는데, 이 중 22건이 신재생에너지 연계용이며, 완전충전 이후, 운전대기 상태인 휴지기간 동안에 계절과 무관하게 화재사고가 발생되었다. 이것은 병렬로 연결된 셀들의 SOC 상태가 서로 다른 경우, 의도하지 않게 SOC가 높은 셀에서 낮은 셀로 전류가 이동하는 셀프에너지 밸런싱 현상으로, 일부 셀이 과충전되어 열폭주로 인한 화재의 원인으로 평가되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 전기저장장치의 셀프에너지 밸런싱을 방지하는 새로운 BMS의 회로구성과 운용 알고리즘 그리고 SOC 평가알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘과 구현한 BMS를 바탕으로 리튬이온전지의 열화 특성과 열화 및 정상 셀 간의 셀프에너지 밸런싱 특성을 분석한 결과, 정상 셀 대비 열화 셀의 방전 용량 비율은 91.75[%]이며, 열화율이 8.25[%]임을 알 수 있었고, SOC가 높은 정상 셀에서 SOC 낮은 열화 셀로 전류가 이동하는 셀프에너지 밸런싱 현상이 발생함을 확인하였다. 또한, 셀프에너지 밸런싱 전류가 과도하게 높아지는 경우, BMS가 확실하게 셀들의 병렬연결을 분리하여, 리튬이온전지의 안전성을 향상시킬 수 있어, 본 논문에서 제안한 BMS의 유용성을 확인하였다.
