  • A $H_{\infty}$ adaptive controller is designed by using polynomial approach. The $H_{\infty}$ robust controllers for adaptive system were designed by Grimble. But they did not minimize the mixed sensitivity ra cost function which is the re sum of weighted sensitivity and complementary sensitivity terms Moreover pole placement is dependent of cost function. In this paper, the mixed sensitivity re cost function is minimized by employing the Youla parameterization and polynomial approach at the same time. And pole plaement is independent of weighting function.

  • In the paper, the permanent magnet synchronous generator of 1.5[MW] output power which is driven directly without gear system is designed by conventional magnetic equivalent circuit method and analyzed by finite element method. We analyzed the characteristics of generator like no load, rated load, short circuit condition and demagnetization of permanent magnet in order to verify the design results by magnetic circuit method. The last, the analysis results of two kinds of rotor types are compared with each other. Especially the THD(total harmonic distortion) of output voltage is examined for the comparison.

  • Private electrical facilities are judged whether it is suitable for the insulation aging condition of their incoming underground cables using DC leakage current test method. In the case where the service point of utility is the secondary side of cut out switch installed in the electric pole, there is a problem that it is difficult to separate the lightning arresters(LA) because of their high position of the pole. Therefore, the field test voltage is applied at value lower than DC 30 kV, which are stated in the inspection guideline. However, this test could reduced the insulation performance of the LA by accelerating the electrical stress of the metal oxide varistor element in the pre-breakdown region. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the DC test voltage and the leakage current using the non-destructive DC high voltage equipment with leakage current measurement function. The results show that the leakage current increases sharply above the specified test voltage. As a consequence, it could be contributed to improve insulation aging inspection method by selecting the possible test area on the VI characteristic curve of the pre-breakdown area of the LA.

  • This paper presents a result of practical study about the adjustment of load correlation equation for the load management of pole transformer. For adjusting the load correlation equation, we analyze the correlative relation between working electric energy[kWh] and peak load[A]. To enhance the accuracy of correlation equation, we classify the 12 representative area patterns. And then, we select the 24 sample pole transformer for each area pattern. For the reliability of the data using the load correlation equation, load management equipment is utilized for each sample pole transformer. Through the on-line data acquisition, we construct the database. For adjusting the load correlation equation, we consider the two points. One is the goodness of fitness for load correlation equation and the other is prevention of pole transformer damage due to the overload. Finally, we propose the correlation equation using the linear and quadratic equation all at once. Through the case studies, we verify that the proposed load correlation equation is reduced the error ratio than conventional correlation equation.

  • The present study may be summarized as follows. By means of a pole-pole electrical survey, major geological features, i.e, fresh rocks, fractured & weak & saturated rocks, fresh water bearing aquifer, were successfully delineated in the surveyed area of a granite region in Korea. The subsequent Schlumberger sounding and drilling confirmed the existence of the acquifer at 60 m depth as expected. But one more minor acquifer which does not show up in the resistivity depth section was met at 100 m depth. A simple forward modelling leads the authors to believe that any other electrode configuration, e.g., Wenner, Schlumberger, dipole-dipole, pole-dipole, would not detect the deeper aquifer. Under these circumstances, further studies remain to be done in connection with the spatial resolution in the vertical direction.

  • Salient pole rotor type single phase SRM(switched reluctance motor) uses the magnetic fluxes of radial and axial direction at the same time. Therefore the output power per unit volumn is very high and shaft length can be shorter than any other types of SRM with same output. Also, It can be manufactured with low cost thanks to simple structure and driving circuit. We already designed and manufactured prototype using the dynamic output equation of general rotating machine but the effect by salient pole structure was not considered. The most optimal design parameters for salient pole rotor type single phase SRM will be selected by comparing and analyzing the results from 3D FEM analysis, experimental values of the torque versus speed characteristics. and the nux linkage of prototype. Results for the former 3D FEM analysis and torque vs. speed characteristics were already obtained. Finally, we will measure the nux linkage of salient pole rotor type single phase SRM.

  • In this paper, we embed RFID tag into name plate of pole and store key value at its RFID tag in order to solve the problem for the management of name plate of pole, which identify by eyes of human for until now. The 900MHz RFID reader performs identification for stored key value, then its key value transmit into smart phone through Bluetooth. The smart phone transmit the key value into server through data communication network and receive again the necessary information after the authentication by the server. We develop pole information system that have such a structure.

  • This paper analyzed the characteristics of the claw pole permanent magnet(PM) stepping motor by using 3D Finite element method(FEM). In this motor, magnetization is occurred along the z-axis, therefore it is necessary to apply 3D FEM for analysis of the claw pole motor. A phase difference of the two stacks's detent torque is 180 degrees. When the center of a permanent magnet is identical with the middle of a pole, small detent torque is produced in order to cancel each of detent torques. However, there are construction errors which are a discrepancy between one and the other phase section in the manufacturing process, thus the detent torque is increased. Moreover, it is confirmed that the proportion of the detent torque is considerably arisen according to the error. Analysis of the construction error is studied by changing the error $0^{\circ}$ to $3^{\circ}$.
