  • In this paper, the driving systems of the Fiber Optic Gyrocompass absolutely required a constant speed and a precise position control with fine step angle, are presented. One of the proposed systems is a stepping motor system with microstep driver, another one is a DC servo motor. Experimental results indicate that a low cost and simple FOG driving system using a stepping motor is capable of a satisfactory operation.

  • In this paper, the Two-Double 1-2phase exciting driver circuit, in order to improving the starting characteristics of Linear Stepping Motor(LSM), is designed. And the static thrust forces of LSM is measured through the chopper constant current method according to the 2 phase, the Double 1-2phase, and the Two-Double 1-2phase exciting method.

  • A constant V/F control system of voltage contrlled PWM inverter has a unstable operation of the low- speed and the light-load. In this paper, the authors propose stability control with idealized operation of induction motor by the neglect of primary leakage inductance and resistance. Also ldealized operation system is adopted voltage error, feed back impedance circuit, and increasing resistance from dead time of switching is compensated by the soft ware with u-processors. The proposed simulation of the idealized control method is proved at the low-speed operation for three phase induction motor.

  • 토크, 효율 등 전동기의 최대특성을 얻기 위해 모든 전동기는 각 전동기 특성에 맞게 설계된 범용인버터를 기본적으로 사용한다. 그러나 최근 연구 결과들을 살펴보면 BLDC 범용인버터인 6-스위치 인버터를 이용한 SRM 구동 연구, 3상 BLDC 전동기를 4-스위치 인버터를 이용한 구동 연구사례들을 살펴볼 수 있다. 따라서 기존 범용인버터에서 벗어나 각 전동기를 구동할 시킬 수 있는 구동 및 제어에 대한 여러 방법에 대해 접근하여 연구 방법들을 모색할 수 있다. 이러한 연구 경향에 맞춰 본 논문에서는 SRM 구동용 컨버터인 C- dump 형태의 컨버터를 BLDC 전동기의 구동 드라이버로 적용하여 이에 대한 특성과 가능성에 관해 연구하였다.

  • 직립보행로봇은 동적인 시스템 구현을 위해 에너지원과 제어장치부가 로봇에 탑재되어야 한다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 소형에서 높은 기동 토크를 얻을 수 있는 직류전동기를 선택하였다. 직류전동기 서보시스템에는 아날로그 처리방식의 파워앰프를 이용하여, 제어기와 구동기가 일체화된 하나의 모들로 개발하였다. 이를 로봇액추에이터에 적용하고 동작과 복귀시의 응답특성을 연구하였다. 주 제어부는 PIC(Micro controller)를 채용하여 서보시스템과 함께 소형경량으로 로봇에 탑재할 수 있다.

Electronic Wedge Brake 시스템의 클램핑력 추정 및 Failsafe 제어 알고리즘 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Clamping Force Estimation and Failsafe Control Algorithm Design of the Electronic Wedge Brake System)

  • The EWB(electronic wedge brake) is one in which the braking force is developed in a wedge and caliper system and applied to a disk and wedge mechanism. The advantage of the wedge structure is that it produces self-reinforcing effect and hence, utilizes minimal motor power, resulting in reduced gear and current. The extent of use of clamping force sensors and protection from failure of the EWB system directly depends on the level of vehicle mass production. This study investigated the mathematical equations, simulation modeling, and failsafe control algorithm for the clamping force sensor of the EWB and validated the simulations. As this EWB system modeling can be applied to motor inductance, resistance, screw inertia, stiffness, and wedge mass and angle, this study could improve the accuracy of simulation of the EWB. The simulation results demonstrated the braking force, motor speed, and current of the EWB system when the driver desired to the step and pulse the brake force inputs. Moreover, this paper demonstrated that the proposed failsafe control algorithm accurately detects faults in the clamping force sensor, if any.

Output Voltage Characteristics of HVDC Electric Field Mill Sensor for Different Speed Variables of Rotating Electrode

  • This paper explains the effects of the weak signal of a rotating-type electric field mill sensor fabricated for measuring the intensity of the electric field generated by high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission lines. The fabricated field mill consists of two isolated electrode vanes, a motor driver, and a ground part. The sensor plate is exposed to and shielded from the electric field by means of a rotary shutter consisting of a motor-driven mechanically complementary rotor/stator pair. When the uncharged sensor plate is exposed to an electric field, it becomes charged. The rotating electrode consists of several conductive vanes and is connected to the ground part, so that it is shielded. Determining the appropriate design variables such as the speed of the vane, its shape, and the distance between the two electrodes, is essential for ensuring optimal performance. By varying the speed, the weak signal characteristics which is used to signal processing and calibration experiment are quite different. Each weak signal pattern was analyzed along with the output voltage characteristics, in order to be able to determine the intensity of the electric field generated by HVDC power transmission lines with accuracy.

  • Recently the importance of the cargo handling equipments in a port has been increasing to get strong competition from other ports. Many ports are making efforts to modernize their cargo handling equipments. The kernel technology of such equipments is the speed control of DC motor which is used as an essential part of them. In this paper, we discuss the speed control of a DC motor as a basic work for building cargo handling equipments in a port. DC Motors are still widely used in industrial fields, as driving power motor for electrical fields. DC drives, being easy to control, are widely used in many variable-speed and position control drive system. Traditional analog control circuits used in such applications have many disadvantages. Complex control schemes are difficult to implement with analog components. All these factor and invention of the microprocessor has made it possible to use digital control circuits, using microprocessing system. These digital circuits have been found to be reliable, flexible, and also immune to noise. In this paper it presents the speed control of a SCR DC motor driver which using dual converter by 80c196kc microprocessor. We developed a thyristor power amplifier which does not cause damage thyristor because it is designed to prevent triggering the two SCRs in the same arm simultaneously. And it was analyzed voltage and currents wave at reactive load.

경량전철 운전규칙 연구 (Operational Regulation on Light Rail Transit)

  • Light rail transit is classified to rubber-tired LRT, lear induction motor LRT, steel wheel LRT, monorail and tramway. LRT except for tramway are usually operated without driver and tramway are driven depending on driver's sight like usual car. LRT, which is one type of urban guided transit, shall be operated according to domestic "Operational Regulation for Urban Guided Transit" but existing regulation does not contain the safety related codes for driverless operation. In this paper, we investigate "IEC 62267 : Railway Application-Safety Requirements for Automated Urban Guided Transit" and compensate for existing operational regulation by referring to international standard and operational rule of commercial line.
