Improvement of Linearized Characteristics for Induction Motor in the Transient State (과도상태에서 유도전동기의 선형화특성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The improvement of linearized characteistics of induction motor control system with field oriented method is presented in this paper. A fully digitally controlled induction motor driver system based on the proposed linear control condition is described. The control system consists of IBM-PC/AT microcomputer, VSI PWM Inverter, and PI controller with softwave. By controlling the torque component, the rated flux component can be kept constant, even in the transient state. It is clearly confirmed by experiment that the improvement of the vector control condition is satisfactory. A simplified control model of an induction motor similar to the model for a separately excited DC motor drive system is obtained.

  • Recently, most machineries have been small size and mobile type. Then the motors used in this field are developed in micro size such as about 2mm in diameter. The structure of this motor is similar to a general brushless DC motor but because of small sige there is no position sensor such as hall sensor. In this paper, we propose synchronous driving and control method for micro brushless DC motor without position sensor. We design and manufacture this controller and perform experiment to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Biped robot requires that an energy source and a control part should be installed on the body to realize active system. So, we choose the DC motor having high torque in compact size in this study. In the DC motor serve system, we choose power amplifier with analog configuration, developed the module combined the controller and the driver. We applied this module to robot actuator and studied the response characteristics in an action and a return. Main controller with serve system, loading PIC micro controller, can be load on the robot with light weight.

  • Open loop microstepping control of two phase hybrid step motors provides enhanced step resolution, smoothness of operation, and removes most of the objectionable resonance phenomena.   • In this paper, the optimal design of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicle driver system is achieved to maximize the torque in constant torque region. Initial design is peformed taking into account load characteristics of electric vehicle and we use sequential uncostrained minimization techniques. In the results, the torque in constant torque region is improved about 13.5%.

  • A gate driver suitable for forced switch-mode power converters such as UPS and motor drive system is presented. The proposed gate driver uses regenerated snubber power and requires no separate power supply. This does not impose any additional complexity on the main switch. Experimental results show that the proposed circuit is valid.

  • Full direct digital control of induction motor driver is implemented with a minimal hardware structure. This paper deals with the presentation of a low-cost single-chip microprocessor-based control system for three-phase PWM generation and vector control that control speed of the induction motor using the field-oriented control method. Rotor flux is estimated using the indirect sensing method based on the rotor circuit equation in the synchronously rotation reference frame, and slip angle and rotor position are calculated from rotor angular velocity and stator current. Through simulation and experiment, it is shown that the proposed scheme gives good static and dynamic performance to the induction motor drive.

  • This paper presents an implementation of efficiency optimization of reluctance synchronous motor (RSM) using a neural network (NN) with a direct torque control (DTC). The equipment circuit considered with iron losses in RSM is analyzed theoretically, and the optimal current ratio between torque current and exiting current component are derived analytically. For the RSM driver, torque dynamic can be maintained with DTC using TMS320F2812 DSP Controller even with controlling the flux level because a torque is directly proportional to the stator current unlike induction motor. In order to drive RSM at maximum efficiency and good dynamics response, the Backpropagation Neural Network is adapted. The experimental results are presented to validate the applicability of the proposed method. The developed control system show high efficiency and good dynamic response features with 1.0 [kW] RSM having 2.57 inductance ratio of d/q.

  • This paper proposes a novel motor drive system for the electric vehicle. In this paper, four-wheel-direct-drive type electric vehicle system is designed and the theoretical and experimental analysis of the system is investigated. The concept of steering not with steering the wheels but with the difference of the motor torque fives the flexibility of the vehicle design and, allows the omission of the differential gear, transmission gear, and drive axles. Thus the proposed system gives the space between wheels and improves the driver's steering performance.

  • The 2nd prototype LPM is designed as single side stator structure for improving the thrust force and acceleration time. Experimental results are shown that the static and dynamic characteristics are improved compared with the 1 st prototype. By the computer simulation, the permanent magnet design method is also clarified to desired thrust force. And microstep driver is adopted to the position controller to the designed LPM. The driver suppressed position errors within 1/10 pitch.
