시각장애인과 노약자를 위한 전기 포트용 안전클립과 안전 컵 디자인 연구 (A Study on the Safety Clip of Electrical Pot and Safety Cup Design for the Blind and Senior)

  • 본 연구는 시각장애인과 노약자를 위한 일상생활용품 중 뜨거운 음료를 안전하게 따르고 마실 수 있는 전기 포트와 컵에 대한 디자인을 개선하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 시각장애인이 평소에 사용하는 일반 전기 포트와 컵을 그들의 사용관점을 통해 바라보고 이를 유니버설디자인의 원칙에 의거 사용 시 발생하는 안전에 관한 문제점을 연구, 개선하여 이를 반영한 전기 포트용 안전 클립과 안전 컵 디자인을 제안한다. 이러한 선행연구를 통해 모든 장애인과 사회적 약자가 함께 사용하고 공유할 수 있는 디자인을 연구하고 기존 생활용품 디자인을 개선함으로써 일반 제품의 사용범위를 확대하고 사회적 가치를 새롭게 마련하는 계기로 삼는다. 또한, 이러한 디자인 개선 과정을 통해 모두가 평등하고 윤택한 삶을 추구하는 사회적 분위기 속에 장애인의 현재 위치와 삶의 가치에 대해 다시 한 번 생각해보는 기회로 삼는다.

Determination of Energy and Time Requirement for Cooking Pigeon Pea (Cajanus cajan)

  • Purpose: High energy requirement and long cooking time are limiting consumption of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan), a nutritious food. This study was performed to estimate energy and time demand by different methods of cooking pigeon pea. Methods: Pigeon pea (150 g) was soaked in 2.0 L of water at ambient temperature ($29{\pm} 2^{\circ}C$) to determine hydration behavior. Cooking experiments were conducted using aluminum and pressure-cooking pots. Efficiency of cooking was evaluated using four types of cooking appliances (kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), electric, and charcoal stoves). Normal (continuous heating until the food was satisfactorily cooked) and control (controlling the energy input to closely match the actual energy required) cooking were conducted. Energy requirement and duration of cooking were determined using standard procedures. Results: Soaking increased moisture content from 11.99 to 30.01% in 90 min, while water absorption rate decreased with soaking duration. In cooking 150 g of pigeon pea using kerosene stove, presoaked normal pressure-pot cooking method consumed the least energy (10 800 kJ) and time (205 min), while unsoaked normal cooking consumed the highest energy (18 450 kJ) and time (336 min). Using LPG stove, unsoaked normal cooking method required the highest energy (52 470 kJ), while presoaked control pressure-pot required the least energy (14 405 kJ). For electric stove, the lowest energy (15 560 kJ) and shortest duration (105 min) were recorded during control cooking of presoaked sample in the pressure-pot. Conclusions: Control cooking was not practicable using charcoal stove. Generally, kerosene stove consumed the least energy, while electric stove was found to have the shortest duration of cooking.

열구자탕(悅口子湯)의 문헌적 고찰 (A bibliographical study of Yeolgujatang)

  • Yeolgujatang is traditional casserole with meat, fish and vegetables in special pot. Name of Yeolgujatang was in 1800s, as yeolgujatang, yeolgujatangbang, yeolguja, in 1900s, Yeolgujatang, royal feast food in Yi Dynasty was yeolgujatang, Meon-sinseolro, tangsinseolro. Yeolgujatang frame has legs and a lid, and a cylinder that can contain charcoal at the center of its rounded pot. with this charcoal, food can be cooked. Its material has changed from brazier to brassware, stainless steel, and silver. Nowdays electric sinseolro was also launched, which uses electric power instead of charcoal. Materials in yeolgujatang are beef, intestines, pork, chicken, pheasant, fish, sea bream, abalone, shrimps, vegetables, mushroom, ddock, guksu, cooked rice, seasening and garnish. Nutrition of Yeolgujatang per capita contains 221.5kal of calory, 17.3g of protein, 16.5g of fat, 6.1g of carbobydrates, 2g of fiber, 57.6mg of calcium, 208mg of phosphorus, 4.3mg of ferrum, $2177{\mu}gRE$ of vitaminA, 1.58mg of vitamin $B_1$, 0.3mg vitamin $B_2$, 6.6mg of vitaminC and 5.26mgNE of niacin. Yeolgujatang is excellent in nutrition, except for calcium and vitaminC.

스마트 Aquaponix 시스템 설계 (Suppression Design of Smart Room Garden·Aquaculture System using PIC)

  • In this paper, we propose a smart indoor garden aquaculture system using PIC. In the proposed smart indoor garden aquaculture system, the aquaphonics system circulates the nutrient solution of the aquarium, the filtrate tank, and the flowerpot. The automated control system that controls the state of the nutrient solution through the various sensors and controls the pump and valve is designed. As a result of the verification of the smart indoor garden aquaculture system proposed in this paper, it was confirmed that the environment suitable for the survival of fish and plants was maintained by monitoring water temperature, DO, pH measured in real time. The water level in aquarium and flower pot was controlled through automatic operation of the Electric vale and pump.

석회(石灰)의 시용(施用)과 가리추비량(加里追肥量)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Effect of Potassium Application Time on Rice Plant under The Limed Condition)

  • 석회(石灰)의 시용(施用)과 가리(加里)의 기추비량(基追肥量)과의 관계(關係)를 밝히기 위(爲)하여 갈색(褐色) plastic pot에 수도(水稻) 밀양(密陽)21호(號)를 심어서 시기별(時期別)로 생육(生育) 상황(狀況)을 관찰 조사하는 동시(同時), 토양(土壤)과 식물체(植物體)를 분석(分析)하고 또 식물체(植物體)의 건물중(乾物重) (정조중포함(正租重包含))을 조사(調査)한 바 그 결과(結果)는 아래와 같다. 1. 무석회집구(無石灰集區)에서 보나 석회집구(石灰集區)에서 영양생육(營養生育)이 양호(良好)한 편이였으며 가리(加里)가 기추비(基追肥)로 분시(分施)되었을 경우 후자(后者)에서 정조(正租) 수량(收量)이 높았다. 2. 무가리구(無加里區)에서는 이앙(移秧) 약(約)20일후(日后)까지 생육(生育)이나 가리(加里)의 함량(含量)이 타구(他區)와 비슷했으나 그 이후(以后)에 차이(差異)가 크게 벌어져서 수확기(收穫期)에 가서는 타구(他區)의 몇분의 1에 불과(不過)하였고 정조수량(正租收量)도 매우 적어졌다. 이 경향(傾向)은 석회집구(石灰集區)에서 더 심(甚) 하였다. 3. 무석회집구(無石灰集區)에서는 가리(加里)의 기비량(基肥量)이 많을수록 증수(增收)하여 전량(全量)을 기비(基肥)로 했을 때 최다정조(最多正租) 수량(收量)이 되었는데 석회집구(石灰集區)에서는 가리(加里)의 기비량(基肥量)이 $\frac{2}{3}$이상(以上)이 되고 추비량(追肥量)이 줄면 생식생장기(生殖生長期)에 가서 식물체(植物體)의 가리함량(加里含量)이 낮아지고 분벽자당(分蘗子當) 생산능력(生産能力)이 떨어져서 저수(低收)가 되었다. 특(特)히 추비(追肥)없이 전량(全量)을 기비(基肥)로 했을 때는 더 심(甚)하여 무가리구(無加里區) 정도(程度)의 정조수량(正租收量)밖에 생산(生産)하지 못했다. "pot 재배(栽培)이었기 때문에 무추비(無追肥)의 피해(被害)는 더욱 컸던 것 같다 ". 4. 가리(加里)의 흡수(吸收) 장해(障害)를 빨리 심(甚)하게 유발한 가능성(可能性)이 있는 조건(본시험(本試驗) 무석회집구(無石灰集區)와 같은 조건(條件))하(下)에서는 가리(加里)의 기비량(基肥量)을 많이 해야하며 석회집구(石灰集區)에서와 같이 吸收障害(흡수장해)를 가져올 염려(念慮)가 적으면서 가리(加里)의 절대량(絶對量)이 부족(不足)한 조건하(條件下)에서는 상당량(相當量)의 가리(加里)를 기비(基肥)로 시용(施用)하는 동시(同時) 일부(一部)를 추비(追肥)로도 시용(施用)해야 한다고 할 수 있다. 5. 생식생장기(生殖生長期)에 가리함량(加里含量)이 높은 벼가 평균풍건중(平均風乾重)이 무거운 분벽자(分蘗子)(수확기(收穫期))를 만들고 더 무거운 분벽자(分蘗子)가 정조(正租) 생산능력(生産能力)(정조(正租)/짚 중량비(重量比))이 커서 더 많은 정조(正租)를 생산(生産)하였다. 6. 식물(植物)의 생육(生育)이 왕성(旺盛)한 시기(時期)(7월(月)29일(日) 이내(以內))에는 토양(土壤)의 E. C값과 벼의 가리(加里) 흡수량간(吸收量間)에는 정상관(正相關)이 있었다. 이로 보아 영양생장기말경(營養生長期末頃)에는 가리(加里)의 추비량(追肥量)을 많이해도 무방(無妨)할 것이며 이때 충분량(充分量)을 추비(追肥)하는 것이 식물체(植物體)의 가리함량(加里含量)을 높여서 증수(增收)하는 방법(方法)이 될 것으로 여겨진다.

사이클론 연소기에서 성상이 다른 석탄의 연소 특성 비교 (Comparision of Combustion Characteristics of the Different Property Coal in Cyclone Combustor)

  • 높은 연소효율과 환경오염물질을 적게 배출하는 75kw급 소형 접선방향 연료주입식 수직형 사이클론 연소기를 이용하여 성상이 다른 수입 유연탄(역청탄, 아역청탄)을 시료로 하여 공기비 0.4~1.6 범위에서 각각의 연소 특성 및 연소 후 회분의 포집효율을 조사하였다. 로 내 온도 분포는 전영역에서 역청탄이 아역청탄보다 약 $100^{\circ}C$ 이상 높게 나타났고 로 내에서는 로 하부와 축선이 높게 나타났다.

Evaluation of Streptomyces saraciticas as Soil Amendments for Controlling Soil-Borne Plant Pathogens

  • Soil-borne diseases are the major problems in mono cropping. A mixture (designated LTM-m) composed of agricultural wastes and a beneficial microorganism Streptomyces saraceticus SS31 was used as soil amendments to evaluate its efficacy for managing Rhizoctonia solani and root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita). In vitro antagonistic assays revealed that SS31 spore suspensions and culture broths effectively suppressed the growth of R. solani, reduced nematode egg hatching, and increased juvenile mortality. Assays using two Petri dishes revealed that LTM-m produced volatile compounds to inhibit the growth of R. solani and cause mortality to the root knot nematode eggs and juveniles. Pot and greenhouse tests showed that application of 0.08% LTM-m could achieve a great reduction of both diseases and significantly increase plant fresh weight. Greenhouse trials revealed that application of LTM-m could change soil properties, including soil pH value, electric conductivity, and soil organic matter. Our results indicate that application of LTM-m bio-organic amendments could effectively manage soil-borne pathogens.

Effect of Galvanizing Furnace Temperature on Material Property and Galvanized Surface of Hot Rolled Galvanized Steel

  • Recently, hot rolled galvanized steel is widely used in automotive parts. As the paradigm of the automotive market has changed from fossil fuel vehicle to electric vehicle, the automotive industry needs more high-strength steels to reduce weights of automobiles. However, because high-strength steel contains high solute carbon, it is expected to have a risk of stretcher-strain on the surface due to dislocation trapping by solute [C] and [N]. Generally, galvanized steel is supposed to pass through a furnace around the temperature of Zinc pot to increase material temperature. Otherwise, the inhibition layer could not be formed. However, solute carbon and nitrogen are volatile enough to move around the furnace temperature. Moreover, the ratio of ferrite phase and precipitated Fe3C can be variable, resulting in yield point elongation related to the stretcher strain. Furthermore, the quality of the galvanized surface can be affected by a high temperature of the furnace. Although a relatively hot rolled galvanizing line furnace has a lower temperature than an annealing line furnace, it can affect various quality aspects. In other words, this paper aims to determine how these phenomena appear concerning furnace temperature.

인삼 연작토양에서 관수 및 인삼뿌리 잔사물이 토양 미생물상 및 뿌리썩음병 발생에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Irrigation and Ginseng Root Residue on Root Rot Disease of 2-Years-Old Ginseng and Soil Microbial Community in the Continuous Cropping Soil of Ginseng)

  • Background: Some phenolics detected in the soil may inhibit the seed germination and seedling growth of ginseng (Panax ginseng). This study investigated the effect of irrigation and ginseng root residue addition on the soil microbial community and root rot disease in 2-year-old ginseng. Methods and Results: Each $20{\ell}$ pot was filled with soil infected with ginseng root rot pathogens, and irrigated daily with $2{\ell}$ of water for one month. After the irrigation treatment, ginseng fine root powder was mixed with the irrigated soil at a rate of 20 g per pot. In descending order, ${NO_3}^-$, electric conductivity (EC), exchangeable Na (Ex. Na) and K (Ex. K) decreased due to irrigation. In descending order, ${NO_3}^-$, EC, Ex. K, and available $P_2O_5$ increased with the additon of ginseng powder to the soil. The abundance of Trichoderma crassum decreased with irrigation, but increased again with the incorporation of ginseng powder. The abundance of Haematonectria haematococca increased with irrigation, but decreased with the incorporation of ginseng powder. The abundance of Cylindrocarpon spp. and Fusarium spp., which cause ginseng root rot, increased with the incorporation of ginseng powder. The abundance of Arthrobacter oryzae and Streptomyces lavendulae increased with irrigation. The abundance of Streptomyces lavendulae decreased, and that of Arthrobacter spp. increased, with the incorporation of ginseng powder. Aerial growth of ginseng was promoted by irrigation, and ginseng root rot increased with the incorporation of ginseng powder. Conclusions: Ginseng root residues in the soil affected soil nutrients and microorganisms, and promoted ginseng root rot, but did not affect the aerial growth of ginseng.
