Electric Fire Prediction by Detection of Discharge Signal (방전신호 검출에 의한 전기화재 예측)

  • This paper describes a technique that can predict electric fires by detection of discharge voltage signals caused by the use of electric facilities. In the experiment, various discharge modes, a flashover or a surface discharge through insulation paper and a line to line short, were simulated to acquire electrical information for predicting electrical fire as discharge modes. From the experimental results, it is hewn that electorial discharges which are ranked as majority causes of electric fires generate characterized signals distinguished from power frequency. Finally. We designed a prototype discharge detector based on the experimental results, and the detector is applied to a power lines. This study showed that the prediction of electric fires is possible by monitoring discharge voltage signals in electric power lines.

A Study on the Hand Drum Form Predict in the Wire Electric Discharge (와이어방전가공시 북량현상 예측에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to present the method to choose the optimization machining condition for the wire electric discharge machine. This was completed by examining the ever-changing quality of the material and by improving the function of the wire electric discharge machine. Precision metal mold products and the unmanned wire electric discharge machining system were used and then applied in industrial fields. This experiment uses the wire electric discharge machine with brass wire electrode of 0.25mm. In this experiment, we changed no-node voltage to 7 and 9, pulse-on-time to 6$mutextrm{s}$, 8$mutextrm{s}$ and 10$mutextrm{s}$, pulse-off-time to 8$mutextrm{s}$, 10$mutextrm{s}$ and 13$mutextrm{s}$, and experimented on wire tension at room temperature by 1000gf, 1200gf, and 1400gf, respectively.

Electric Field Analysis and Removal Characteristics of Escherichia Coli for Water Discharge Tube with Globular SiO$_2$ (구형 SiO$_2$를 갖는 수방전관의 전계 해석 및 대장균 제거 특성)

  • This paper shows the simulation of electric field distribution and removal characteristics of Escherichia coli for water discharge tube with globular $SiO_2$. At the experiments of the removing Escherichia coli used the discharge tube with globular dielectric($SiO_2$), because the electric field is increased when applied voltage is increased, the removed ratio of Escherichia coli was related with increasing of applied voltage. When a passing number of test water in water discharge tube is increased, the removed ratio of Escherichia coli is increased because passing number of territory with electric field is increased. When diameter of globular dielectric($SiO_2$) is increased, the removed time of Escherichia coli was decreased because electric field for dielectric polarization of globular dielectric($SiO_2$) was increased. Also, the removed ratio of Escherichia coli of the water discharge tube with globular dielectric($SiO_2$) was measured higher than the removal ratio of the discharge tube without globular dielectric($SiO_2$)

  • In this paper, We examine that characteristics of formative electret with polymer film and electric charge storage using grid corona discharge. compound polymer of fluorine resin used for material in electret because of high electric charge accumulation, excellent electrical and physical characteristic. All experiments were carried out with circular samples of $Teflon^(R)FEP$ film, 12.5[${\mu}m$] thick. As experiment variables, we used voltage, electrode thickness, discharge electrode gap, and discharge time. According to this variables, we studied on characteristics of formative electret and electric charge storage. Additionally we make a comparative study of the result between the grid corona discharge and needle electrode discharge.

  • The relationships between discharge characteristics and sustain electrode shape are studied in AC PDP by calculating the electric field and measuring discharge voltage, luminance and current. The maximum electric field is obtained for the triangle shape electrode. It is 1.8 times larger than uniform electric field type. It has been shown thatthe firing voltage is largely affected by the degree of electric field concentration. But, as the difference of the maximum and minimum value of electric field in a cell increases, the luminance and luminance efficiency decrease. And, the charge variation during discharge is proportional to the area of electrode.

  • In this paper, the precision electric discharge machining technology, the powder electric discharge machining technology, is applied to making a cold forging die for making the helical type of clutch gear. Various working conditions are investigated with emphasis on reduction of the electrode wear and enhancement of the surface roughness. Through the research work, the key technology of making the helical gear forging dies is achieved.

Effect of Electric Frequency on the Partial Discharge Resistance of Epoxy Systems with Two Diluents

  • Partial discharge resistance for the epoxy systems with two diluents was investigated in the rod-plane electrodes arrangement, and the effect of electric frequency on the partial discharge resistance was also studied. Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) type epoxy was used as a base resin, and 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDGE) or polyglycol (PG) as a reactive diluent was introduced to the DGEBA system, in order to decrease the viscosity of the DGEBA epoxy system. BDGE was acted as a chain extender, and PG acted as a flexibilizer, after the curing reaction. To measure the partial discharge resistance, 5 kV alternating current (ac) with three different frequencies (60, 500 and 1,000 Hz) was applied to the specimen in a rod-plane electrode arrangement, at $30^{\circ}C$. PG had a good effect, while BDGE had a bad effect on the partial discharge resistance of the DGEBA system, regardless of the electric frequency.

  • It is necessary for starting voltage to him on high pressure discharge lamp. This starting voltage supply to high pressure sodium vapor lamp as electric discharge lamp, Electric field is producted in Electric discharge tube, So accelerative electron collide against vapour atom and second electron is generated, And rapidly the current flow to Electric discharge tube. This paper showed that the life cycle and exchanges time for all electric discharge lamp was different according to each manufactures, This paper is proposed the evaluating algorithm of exchanges time for high pressure sodium vapor lamp, used LabVIEW software package.
