  • This paper deals with the dynamic characteristic analysis of Linear Oscillatory Actuator (LOA) considering Sine Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) method with H-bridge driver. The input current shape obtained by the driver has great influence on the driving performance of LOA. Therefore, according to the various current shapes, the analysis is achieved by using the combined equation between kinetic and electric circuit equation. Moreover, the parameters in the electric circuit equation are accurately estimated by using FEM.

  • In this paper, development and performance characteristic of propulsion system(Converter/Inverter) using IPM(Intelligent Power Module) for 120km/h AC electric vehicle is proposed. The proposed propulsion system is comprised of IPM converter and inverter stack which uses natural air-cooling system, DC-Link, OVCRf unit and control unit. And also 2-Parallel operation of two PWM converter is adopted for increasing capacity of system and the VVVF inverter control is used a mixed control algorithm, where the vector control strategy at low speed region and slip-frequency control strategy at high speed region. The proposed propulsion system is verified by main line test results as well as combined test results.

  • In compared with air insulated switchgear, GIS has a high efficiency and confidence. Insulation method using $SF_6$ gas has a very excellent insulation characteristic for high voltage equipment but has a characteristic that insulation heredity is changed for internal unequal electric field. So analysis of time varying electromagnetic field in GIS is very important for structure design and trouble diagnosis process. In compared with established method, the SNM(Spatial Network Method) in this Paper can observe variation of electromagnetic field with real time and get result very similar to measurement. In order to Know variation of electromagnetic field distribution in fast moving particle, we make used of SNM.

  • Test temperature is an important factor affecting the measurement results of dielectric response of field power transformers. In order to better apply the polarization and depolarization current (PDC) to the condition monitoring of oil-paper insulation system in power transformers, the influences and elimination method of test temperature on PDC characteristic spectroscopy (PDC-CS) were investigated. Firstly, the experimental winding sample was measured by PDC method at different test temperatures, then the PDC-CS was obtained from the measurement results and its changing rules were discussed, which show that the PDC-CS appears a horizontal mobility with the rise of temperature. Based on the rules, the “time temperature shift technique” was introduced to eliminate the influence of test temperature. It is shown that the PDC-CS at different test temperatures can be converted to the same reference temperature coincident with each other.

  • This paper deals with thermal characteristic analysis of induction motors for machine tool spindle for motion error prediction. Firstly, the inverse design of general induction motors for machine tool spindle has been performed by design principles. Characteristics considering VVVF inverter of induction motors were analyzed. Secondary, power loss and thermal characteristics of induction motors analyzed by equivalent thermal resistance model from Motor-CAD S/W. To develop a second-order fitted power-loss distribution model for the constant-torque operating range of the induction motor, we employed the design of experiment and response surface methodology techniques. Finally, the analysis results were experimentally verified, and the validity of the proposed analysis method was confirmed.

고장데이터를 이용한 대용량 전력설비 통계적 수명분석 (Statistical Lifetime Analysis for Large Electric Power Equipments using Failure Data)

  • In this study, the characteristic lifetime of power facilities such as power transformers and GIS were investigated as the basis of power facility asset management. It is difficult to obtain the operation and failure data of the facilities in Korea. Therefore, the number of failures of the electric power facilities was calculated from the operation data and hazard rate shown in the overseas literatures, and the statistical analysis was performed using the Weibull distribution function. As a result of extracting and analyzing the data of the UK National Grid for power transformers, the characteristic lifetime (scale parameter) of 116.45 years was considered to be a very appropriate value for power transformer management and can be used as a comparative data of the analysis of the domestic transformers. As for the GIS, based on the Bays and Bay-Years data and the hazard rate according to the operation years of the 123kV GIS in Germany, it is found out that the characteristic lifetime of GIS is not so meaningful. It is necessary to decide a maintenance strategy and lifetime expectancy considering the characteristics of the design, materials and manufacturing process of GIS.

프리피스톤 리니어엔진의 스프링경도에 따른 수치해석연구 (A Numerical Simulation for the Spring Hardness of a Free Piston Linear Engine)

  • This research numerically analyses the effects of the damping device on the operation characteristics of a free piston linear engine. In this paper, the free piston linear engine uses spring as a damping device. The investigated parameter is spring hardness which is varied at 0.5, 1, 2.9, and 14.7 N/mm. The effects of spring hardness on the dynamic characteristic, thermodynamic characteristic and electric power of the engine are investigated. Beside, the equivalent ratio is also changed to provide more information for this study. The simulation results show that, by increasing spring hardness from 0.5 to 14.7 N/mm, all of parameters related to dynamic characteristic such as piston velocity, acceleration, displacement, and frequency increase accordingly. Beside, the peak pressure in the cylinder and electric power are also increased when increasing spring hardness. The tendency is also observed at varied equivalent ratios.

  • 카메라, 휴대전화, 노트북 등과 같이 휴대 가능한 전기전자기기들은 대부분 2차 전지로부터 전원을 공급받고 있다. 2차 전지로서는 타 전지에 비하여 고 에너지 밀도와 고 전압의 특성을 갖고 있는 리튬2차전지가 가장 많이 활용되고 있으며, 이 특성 때문에 전기자동차, 우주왕복선, 분산전원의 한 형태인 전력 저장장치에까지 그 이용이 확대되고 있다. 그러나, 시스템의 최적성능을 보장하기 위해서는 용도별 싸이클 수명성능을 고려한 충방전 설계 및 이를 위한 전기적 등가모델의 정확성이 필수적이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 상용 리튬이차전지의 실제 실험 데이터에 근거하여 충/방전 심도 함수를 도출하고, 리튬이차전지의 수명성능평가를 위한 충/방전 특성 모델을 제안하고, 이의 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • The efficiency of a powertrain system of hybrid vehicle is highly dependent on the design and control of the hybrid powertrain system. In other words, the optimal design of the powertrain systems is coupled with optimal control of the powertrain system. Therefore, the solution of an optimal design problem for hybrid vehicles is computationally and timely very expensive. For example, dynamic programming, which is a recursive optimization method, is usually used to evaluate the best fuel economy of certain hybrid vehicle design, and, thus, the evaluation takes tens of minutes to several hours. This research aims to accelerate the speed of efficiency evaluation of hybrid vehicles. We suggest a mathematical treat and a methodological treat to reduce the computational load. The mathematical treat is that the dynamics of system is discretized with sparse sampling time without loss of energy balance. The methodological treat is that the efficiency of the hybrid vehicle is inferred by characteristic loss evaluation that is computationally inexpensive. With the suggested methodology, evaluating a design candidate of hybrid powertrain system is taken few minutes, which was taken several hours when dynamic programming is used.

  • 전자파 내성 및 전자파 장해 측정을 위한 표준 전자파 발생 장치 중 하나인 CTL cell에서 두 개의 입력 단자에 동일 신호와 역위상 신호 입력에 따른 다양한 전계와 자계 발생에 대해 살펴보았다. 기본 공진주파수 TE011이 2.20GHz인 CTL cell을 이용하여 우세 전계장과 우세 자계장 조건에서 입력 전력의 변화에 따른 전계 특성, 측정 위치에 따른 전계 특성, 주파수 변화에 따른 전계 특성을 측정하였고, 이를 이용하여 CTL cell의 측정 영역에서의 동작 특성과 공진주파수의 영향을 받지 않고 사용 가능한 주파수 대역을 살펴보았다.
