전력케이블 열화 감시방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Monitoring Means of Insulation deterioration of Electric Power Cable)

  • Electric Power cable is the apparatus that receives electric power from the Korea Electric Power Corporation and supplies electric power to electric train and annex facilities of each railway station. With substantial ripple effect during power blackout accidents, such power blackout accidents must be coped with by discriminating the status of insulation deterioration of electric power cable in advance. Discrimination of insulation deterioration of the electric power cable is normally executed while the power is disconnected and it is very difficult to discover, at early stage, the insulation deterioration of the power cable in operational state since the duration of inspection is limited. This research aims to consider method of diagnosing the insulation deterioration of electric power cable in On-Line state rather than diagnosis in Off-Line state in order to secure reliability of power supply by reducing duration of power blackout (accidental blackout and blackout during works) and by seeking reduction in equipment and manpower used in diagnosis of deterioration through prevention of the accident itself prior to occurrence through early restoration of accident due to insulation deterioration of the electric power cable and assessment of performance of the cable under operation.

  • Along with response of the Climactic Change Convention, the government is demanding a measuring and reporting system for green-house gas emission and energy consumption on the railroad sector in order to make a transition to a low carbon green railroad system. According to the plans to electric railway line and increase the number of electric rolling stock, the electric consumption is increasing more than the consumption of diesel. Therefore, the development of monitoring device for green-house gases became important issue. In this study we developed a prototype of the monitoring system for estimating electric consumption. This study is expected to make accurate GHG emission inventory and be used to have confidence of emission factor.

  • Recently, the study for development of system having affinity for environment is on investigation. This issue is also applicable to transportation system. This paper suggested the inductive power transformer used for the road/railway applied to contactless power transfer system. The two secondary windings, large gaped magnetic structure and horizontal alignment between primary and secondary coil for that transformer approach a process for improvement of contactless power transfer system performance.

  • The number of electric railway failures will increase due to the external and internal effects of electric railroads. The grounding test with 25,000V is to artificially test the transmission voltage to ground, and it is possible to cause risks of electric shock and other equipment insulation damage in neighboring enclosure. In 2016, method of fault localization changed to low - voltage at 380V from artificially high- voltage in the grounding tests since opening of Seoul Metropolitan Express Railway; The method is more accurate and safer rather than the previous one because it gets more data from unlimited grounding tests. However, an electric current falls on the track section where the track branches and vehicle bases with many lines. To precisely detect a transitive phenomenon, it is necessary to continuously study and additionally install.

직류 1500V 전철변전소의 회생전력량 측정 및 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of Regenerative Energy in DC 1500V Electric Traction Substation)

  • 본 논문에서는 직류 1500V 지하철 변전소의 가선전압과 피더별 전류량을 측정한 결과를 분석한다. 선릉과 양동시장 변전소들의 피더별 소비 및 회생전력을 측정하고, 피더별로 발생된 회생전력이 타 피더로 전달되는 전력량을 계산하였다. 전철변전소에서 회생전력이 교류될 수 있는 거리를 타 변전소와의 중간지점으로 가정하고, 전동차 1편성의 회생전력량을 기초로 변전소에서 발생되는 총 회생전력량을 근사식으로 계산하였다. 이렇게 얻어진 값과 측정된 피더간 교류된 회생전력량을 사용하여 변전소의 회생전력 실효전력량을 계산하고 회생인버터가 설치된 후 재활용할 수 있는 회생전력량을 근사적으로 얻었다.

경부고속철도 회생 에너지 저장시스템 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis for Regenerative Energy Storage System in Kyoung-bu High Speed Railway)

  • Recently, various researches are conducted in the application of regenerative energy produced during the operation of an electric locomotive. Regenerative energy is produced by a generator in the brake procedure. The generator is operated by kinetic energy of an electric railroad using an electric motor. The process of producing regenerative energy varies with the current type of a railroad and its running condition. The quality of electric power can be improved and electric energy can be utilized effectively, especially in the use of an energy storage system (ESS). Thus, it is necessary to apply ESS into AC section and high speed railway. This study analyses the composition of the regenerative ESS equipment installed in Yong-Jeong sectioning post, operational principle, charge and discharge algorithm and energy efficiency. The analysis shows that CO2 emissions can be reduced about 0.5 ton per a day. In addition, ESS helps saving the energy and the compensation of the voltage drop caused by the operation of high speed train when it is installed at the end of the feeder section. The number of high speed train will be increased continuously related to the electrification rate. Therefore, applying the ESS to high speed railway is expected to solve the instability of the feeder voltage and the equipment capacity problem caused by the high speed trains.

  • The main objective of this paper is to design and test a new type of polymer ZnO surge arrester for AC power system of railroad vehicles. Metal oxide surge arrester for most electric power system applications, electric train and must not have explosive breakage of the housing to minimize damage to other equipment when subjected to internal high short circuit current. When breakdown of ZnO elements in a surge arrester occurs due to flashover, fault short current flows through the arrester and internal pressure of the arrester rises. The pressure rise can usually be limited by fitting a pressure relief diaphragm and transferring the arc from the inside to the outside of the housing. However, there is possibility of porcelain fragmentation caused by the thermal shock. pressure rise, etc. Non-fragmenting of the housing is the most desired way to prevent damage to other equipment. The pressure change which is occurred by flashover become discharge energy. This discharge energy raises to damage arrester housing and arrester housing is dispersed as small fragment. Therefore, the pressure relief design is requested to obstruct housing dispersion. The main research works are focused on the structure design by finite element method, pressure relief of module, and studies of performance of surge arrester for electric railway vehicle.
