유기물가용체형 온도퓨우즈의 안전성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety of Organic Compound Type Thermal Fuse)

  • To protect the damages or the disasters caused by overheating of industrial electric equipments or electric home appliances, a temperature sensitive thermal fuse is generally used in those equipments. Thermal fuses cutoff the current flow when the temperature of the electric equipments are abnormally overheated and over the certain temperature. Therefore thermal fuse is one of the most important elements in the sense of safety. Thermal fuses are classified into two types according to thermally sensitive materials, a low temperature melting alloy and an organic chemical compound. Domestic products of thermal fuses are now only with an organic chemical compound. Domestic products tested by using cutoff test and aging test etc. are satisfied UL specification. It's shown that the accuracy and the precision of the domestic products are as good as those of the overseas products obtained UL mark. However, some of domestic products show the reclosing problem which is mainly related the safety. This problem should be solved to make the reliable thermal fuses. In this paper, our Interest is to find out the causes of reclosing. In the comparison between thermally sensitive materials occurred reclosing and those occurred no reclosing, the test effects show that the characteristics of emitting heat and absorbing heat are different.

휴대용 극저주파 전장측정기 개발 (Development of a Portable ELF Electric Field Meter)

  • 본 논문은 평판형 센서, 아날로그 증폭기, 이득 조성 가능한 A/D 변환기 및 표시장치로 구성되는 휴대용 전장 측정기에 대하여 기술하였다. 극저주파 대역의 시변전장 검출을 위한 센서의 원리를 설명하고, 원통형 가드전극계와 평행평판 전극계의 교정장치를 제안하였다. 교정실험 결과로부터 전장측정기의 주파수 대역과 감도는 각각 $17[Hz]{\sim}7[kHz]$, 4.45[mV/V/m]이었다. 또한 측정 가능한 최대 전장의 세기는 10[kV/m]이며, 측정 결과는 액정화면에 숫자로 표시된다. 본 전장측정기는 전력선, 컴퓨터 및 헤어드라이기나 히터와 같은 가전기기 등에서 방사되는 전장의 세기 측정에 광범위하게 적용될 것이다.

  • This study developed a new model for evaluating activities related to PL(Product Liability), with which our domestic enterprises can more easily assess the actual status of the management of PL than as they could do before. In addition, this model was designed to make the evaluation can be done focusing on the Product safety management cycle, unlike the other PL evaluation models. This model consists of 3 evaluation domains such as evaluations of planning, implementation, and assessment and taking action regarding product safety management. In order to verify that this evaluation model meets its objectives, the researcher directly conducted evaluations of activities related to PL in 3 companies specializing in electric home appliances through visiting them.

Pickup의 자세에 둔감한 무선전력전송 시스템 (Wireless Power Transfer System Insensitive to Pickup's Posture)

  • Recently, wireless power transfer (WPT) system is widely studied. WPT system is very attractive because it removes power cables from home appliances, office equipment and battery chargers for electric vehicle. However, pickup's posture affects the performance greatly. In this paper a new pickup system whose output voltage is less sensitive to its posture is proposed. The proposed pickup system is composed of three coils perpendicular to each other. A prototype is constructed and tested, and its usefulness is verified.

  • Wireless power transfer (WPT) system is very attractive because it removes power cables from home appliances, office equipments and battery chargers for electric vehicles. In this paper, non-radiative WPT systems studied recently are claimed to be technologically or theoretically identical in operation irrespective of the number of coils. Especially, 2-coil and 3-coil systems are compared in detail. It is also shown that multiplicity of coils does not increase power transfer capability.

Reynolds Number Effect on Regenerative Pump Performance in Low Reynolds Number Range

  • The effect of Reynolds number on the performance of a regenerative pump was examined in a low Reynolds number range in experiment. The head of the regenerative pump increased at low flow rates and decreased at high flow rates as the Reynolds number decreased. The computation of the internal flow was made to clarify the cause of the Reynolds number effect. At low flow rates, the head is decreased with increasing the Reynolds number due to the decrease of the shear force exerted by the impeller caused by the increase of leakage and hence local flow rate. At higher flow rates, the head is increased with increasing the Reynolds number with decreased loss at the inlet and outlet as well as the decreased shear stress on the casing wall.

  • 가전업의 CKD(Complete Knock Down)업무는 해외의 바이어나 현지공장에 가전제품을 구성하는 부품/반제품들을 개별 포장하여 수출하는 물류업무이다. 이러한 CKD 업무는 가격경쟁이 치열한 부분으로 경쟁력 강화를 위해 물류비의 절감이 요구되고 있다. 특히 CKD 업무의 경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 포장품질과 적재율 향상을 위한 포장/적재의 최적화가 이루어져야 하며, 이를 지원하는 Packing Optimization System 의 구축이 절실히 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 가전업 CKD의 업무특징과 업무환경의 변화에 대해 기술하였으며, 환경변화에 대한 대응방법으로 가전업 CKD 업무를 위한 Packing Optimization System 의 주요 기능과 업무 프로세스를 제시하였다. 그리고, 시뮬레이션 방법을 이용한 Packing Optimization system의 구현 사례를 예시하였다.

  • IGBT(insulated gate bipolar transistor) is outstanding device for current conduction capabilities. IGBT design to control the large power switching device for power supply, converter, solar converter, electric home appliances, etc. like this IGBT device can be used in many places so to increase the efficiency of the various structures are coming. in this paper optimization design of planar type IGBT and planar field stop IGBT, and both devices have a comparative analysis and reflection of the electrical characteristics.

  • This paper presents a forecasting method for domestic demand of electric home appliances. Because of lack of data, some popular methods such as time series analysis may not be appropriate to forecast such a demand domestically. We suggest a systematic and practical method by considering structural parameters and variables which determine the actual demand. We use this model to forecast the demand of color TV. Since the parameters in our model may be variant according to the change of economic environment, our model leads the user to develop a dynamic model to be used in the well-known System Dynamics Approach.

  • The importance of cost reduction has grown bigger to ensure the competetive power of products in the electric home appliances industry. Thus, it is necessary to assess the reliability due to drop-impact happenning in process of distribution of microwave ovens with the panel and cavity of thinner thickness for cost reduction. In the present study, the drop/impact simulation using the explicit code LS-DYNA3D has been carried out for improving the impact resistance of a microwave oven. This CAE-based design approach can be successfully applied to enhance the deteriorated dynamic behavior under the impact conditions of dropping height 70cm according to ISTA procedure 2A.
