Traction Motor 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Basic Design for the Traction Motor)

  • A paradigm shift in driving system of transportation vehicle from engine to electric motor is required as the problems on air pollution and drain of petroleum resource are on the rize. Moreover while it is possible to control the motor with variable frequency driver, the application of motor in various kinds of vehicles is spread rapidly. In the paper, the effective design method of IPMSM for EV and HEV by using equivalent magnetic circuit and finite element method (FEM) is suggested. First of all, load conditions of the application are calculated. And basic design process of IPMSM is proposed with two design point. Finally, in order to verify the proposed design process, it was compared with the basic design parameter and the FEM analysis results.

  • This paper introduced the appearance characteristics of the cab mask & telescopic handrail arms for the New Zealand EMU to be applied with inter-city transportation in 2010. The appearance characteristics are improvements of driver's sightline, implementation of safety zone of gangway plate by using the telescopic handrail arms, improvements of staff & female crew & ground crew's convenience. and also, during have looking the New Zealand EMU(Electric Multiple Unit), I hope that people who having the interesting of the cab mask design would be gotten help with basic knowledge.

  • 고출력 레이저 다이오드는 소형화되면서 생산 단가가 낮아지는 것에 비해 출력은 점점 더 커지고 있기 때문에 많은 산업 응용 분야에 확대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 고출력 레이저 다이오드의 안정성과 고정된 출력 파워의 광원을 제공하기 위한 설계의 목적이 있다. 안정된 정전류를 위하여 온도와 전류의 안정성이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 레이저 다이오드 내부의 온도센서와 TEC(Thermo Electric Cooler)를 이용한 온도제어 회로를 구성하였다. 이들을 제어하기 위하여 A/D, D/A 컨버터와 마이크로프로세서를 사용하였으며, 정전류 50A일 때 35W 출력과 온도 범위는 ${\pm}0.5^{\circ}$로 설계를 하였다.

  • Knowledge of a power semiconductor's operating temperature is important in circuit design and converter control. Designing appropriate circuitry that does not affect regular circuit operation during virtual junction temperature measurement at actual operating conditions is a demanding task for engineers. The proposed method enables virtual junction temperature estimation with a dedicated modified gate driver circuit based on real-time measurement of a semiconductor's quasi-threshold voltage. A simulation was conducted before the circuit was designed to verify the concept and to determine the basic properties and potential drawbacks of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, designs of an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) and its motor driver for 42V automotive air condition system are introduced. The characteristics of the IPMSM are predicted by using d-q equivalent circuit having the parameters, such as current phase angle, d-q axis inductances, core loss resistance, etc. The experimental and analysis results of the prototype are compared to show validity of the analysis method, and to give analyzed characteristics in detail. As the result, an improved IPMSM is designed to widen the operating speed limit of prototype; a cost effective AC drive are considered at the same time.

  • The process of railway traffic planning is composed of several steps such as long-term, mid-term. short-term, and real-time plan. The planning of vehicle and manpower resources is a main research topic in tactical short-term planning step. Railway vehicle is usually consisted of a power car, passenger/freight cars and human resource is composed of engine driver, cabin crew, ground personnel. So far, power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high-speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of trainset vehicles become important, In this paper, we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.

  • The linear motor is available for linear transition motion, because of its advantages, the motor design and its application have gradually increased, but the quantitative measurement system of thrust force has not been generalized. Need analysis of correct thrust for control performance improvement of HB-LPM(HB-type Linear Pulse Motor). It is difficult to analyze HB-LPM's thrust. In this paper, HB-LPM's thrust is expressed to mathematical expression. And it is proved validity of this numerical formula by thrust measurement system. Two phase driver is composed. It is verified validity of numerical formula that measure waveform of electric current and voltage that is supplied in each phase.

  • In an electric vehicle driving system, the regeneration power charging the battery with electricity is applied as the driver controls the brake. This paper is proposed a torque compensation algorithm that can regenerate due to extend regeneration area at the low speed of EV system. In order to verify the proposed method, PSIM simulation is performed and it is confirmed that regeneration occurred the proposed method is regenerated at low speed by comparing the existing method with the proposed method.

  • With the growing traffic density and increasing comfort requirements, the automation of the drive train has gained importance in vehicles. The automatic clutch actuation relieves a driver especially in urban and stop-and-go traffic environments. In this paper, an electro-mechanical actuator for clutch-by-wire (CBW) system is implemented as the first stage for the development of automated manual transmissions. The prototype of the automatic clutch actuator is designed systematically, which is composed of the electric motor, worm and worm wheel, and crank mechanism. A test rig is developed to perform the basic function test for the automatic clutch actuation. The developed prototype is validated by the experimental results performed on the test rig.
