  • We acquired operating data in an existing steam turbine power plant using analog control system to investigate operation characteristics. We analyzed a load control logic to develop a digital turbine control system. The load control logic is constituted of load target, load reference, loading rate, load limit and admission mode transfer of valve. The result of this paper is utilized to implement a digital turbine control system.

Robust Adaptive Precision Position Control of PMSM

  • A new control method for precision robust position control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. In direct drive motor systems, a load torque disturbance directly affects the motor shaft. The application of the load torque observer is published in using a fixed gain to solve this problem. However, the motor flux linkage cannot be determined precisely for a load torque observer. Therefore, an asymptotically stable adaptive observer base on a deadbeat observer is considered to overcome the problems of unknown parameters, torque disturbance and a small chattering effect. To find the critical parameters the system stability analysis is carried out using the Liapunov stability theorem.

  • 내부에 열을 가하여 원하는 온도를 유지하는 전기로는, 정확하게 제어하고 모델링을 하기 힘든 시스템이다. 왜냐하면 시스템 변수와 응답 지연 시간이 온도와 위치가 변함에 따라 변하기 때문이다. 이번 연구에서 항상 폐루프 시스템에서 안정성을 보증하고, 내부가 불안정한 시스템에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있는 가중계수를 갖는 일반형 예측 제어가 세라믹 전기로에 적용되었고, 실험을 통해 온도 추적 이행을 보임으로서 확인하였다.

  • About a half of Electric power is generated by nuclear power plants in korea. So, the stable operation of nuclear power plant is very important for suppling the essential national electric power. A S/G(Steam Generator) level control is the most difficult system in PWR(Pressurized Water Reactor) nuclear power plant. Because of the non-linear and the non-nominal response of S/G level control, it Is very difficult to control the level by automatic mode or manual mode. The goal of this study is to establish and verify a advanced control algorithm by analyzing, modelling, stability calculation, controller parameter calculation, simulation for S/G level control system.

  • A control system using a PLC has been developed for a single tower drier(STD) in a CANDU type nuclear power plant. This system will replace the existing STD control system which was implemented with mechanical timers and relays. The new control system makes it possible for an operator to perform more precise time and dew point control for the STD, thanks to the high efficiency and flexibility of the PLC. The operational cost for the control system is much reduced compared to the existing system.

  • The aims of this study is to develop working robot for a installed trolley cable of an electric train and objective of this paper is to implement mobile control of working robot. In this paper an approach to method for scheme of a mobile control system is presented in a dynamic hybrid velocity/tension control of working robot. The working robot is composed the velocity and tension controllers using the concept of two-degrees-of-freedom servo-controller. This robot moved at same time a certain distance to constrain a constant tension and installed a trolley cable of an electric train. To move the robot the velocity control system have design and implemented. Simulation and experimental results are presented to illustrate the validity of designed mobil scheme.

  • 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 손실을 고려한 최대 효율제어기법을 전기자동차 구동시스템에 적용하고, 그 효과를 검증하기 위해 최대 효율제어를 적용하였을 때와 기존의 일정자속 제어방식을 적용하였을 경우에 대해 각각 ­미국의 F.T.P-72와 E.P.A의 HWFET(Highway Fuel Effciency Test)에서 정한 시내 주행모드(LA-4 Mode) 와 고속 주행 모드에서의 주행시험을 통해 그 결과를 비교 제시하였다. 또한 시험을 통해 전기자동차의 주행거리 증대를 위해 최대 효율제어 적용시 효과를 검토하였다.

  • This paper presents the development of Distributied Control System for Bookjeju fossil plant. The original analog control system for the power plants has a complex and large-scale structure in their hardware configuration and much difficulties have been experienced for maintenance due to lack of original components. This system connects three different control systems in Bookjeju fossil plant by cue network, The result shows that optimal Distributied Control System has standardization of control system, effective operation management and convenient maintenance of power plant.

Motor Control of a Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle during Mode Change without an Integrated Starter Generator

  • In this paper, a motor control algorithm for performing a mode change without an integrated starter generator (ISG) is suggested for the automatic transmission-based hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Dynamic models of the HEV powertrains such as engine, motor, and mode clutch are derived for the transient state during the mode change, and the HEV performance simulator is developed. Using the HEV performance bench tester, the characteristics of the mode clutch torque are measured and the motor torque required for the mode clutch synchronization is determined. Based on the dynamic models and the mode clutch torque, a motor torque control algorithm is presented for mode changes, and motor control without the ISG is investigated and compared with the existing ISG control.
