Analysis of Low Growth of B2C in Korea - Focused on Transaction Cost

  • B2C is not doing well in Asia and Pacific countries in comparison to U.S. and Europe. But there is misunderstanding of low growth of B2C electric commerce caused by cultural factor. Consumers in market are rational to decide their purchase according to total cost - market price and transaction cost. I examined this with data of Korea and U.S. Transaction cost in real market is less in Korea than in U.S. but that of electric commerce, it is much less in U.S. As a result, the choice of consumers in Korea is real market transaction while consumers in U.S. choose electric commerce.

고객 질의 문서 자동 분류를 위한 학습 알고리즘 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation on the Learning Algorithm for Automatic Classification of Q&A Documents)

  • 최근 인터넷의 보급으로 전자상거래가 대중들에게 나타났고 현재 기업들의 경영환경 변화를 주도하고 있다. 전자상거래에서는 기업이 고객과의 유지 및 관계 구축을 위하여 고객이 원하는 것이 무엇인가를 파악하고 그것을 고객에게 제안하는 여러 가지 고객 채널을 가지고 있는데, 그 중 게시판과 전자메일은 고객의 질의를 직접적으로 들을 수 있는 인바운드(Inbound) 정보로서 매우 중요한 채널로 다루어지고 있다. 그러나 현재 운영되는 전자상거래의 게시판과 전자메일은 체계적인 관리와 처리과정 없이 질의와 답변이 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점의 해결을 위해 인공지능 분야의 문서 분류에서 널리 사용되고 있는 기계학습 알고리즘 중 대표적인 나이브 베이지안(Naive Bayesian), TFIDF, 신경망, k-NN 알고리즘을 도입하여 전자상거래에서 존재하는 여러 가지 고객 질의의 카테고리를 자동으로 분류할 수 있도록 함으로써 관리자가 정확한 답변을 신속하게 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 도입한 알고리즘의 고객 질의 문서 자동 분류 성능 실험을 통해 어떤 알고리즘이 우수한 분류 성능을 나타내는지 확인하였으며 실험 결과 나이브 베지이지안 알고리즘이 95%이상의 높은 분류 성능을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The application of Internet-technologies to support inter-business transactions and relationships (also termed business-to-business, B2B, electronic commerce) has recently received tremendous attention. Recognizing the importance of the Internet as a powerful business tool, many companies including public organization such as KEPCO(Korea Electronic Power Corporation) have moved quickly to take advantage of electronic commerce. This study explores the impact of Internet-based technology on the procurement function, howe-procurement is helping organizations to enhance their competitiveness and the challenges to its adoption. The study also presents the findings from a survey conducted to gain insight into the adoption of e-procurement by KEPCO. Specifically, it seeks to uncover the prevalence of and extent to which public organization is adopting e-procurement, the benefits reaped and the barriers encountered in the course of implementation.

중전기기산업 수출시장 매력도 분석 (Export Market Attractiveness Analyses of the Heavy Electric Equipment Industry)

  • This study develops the market attractiveness assessment model and draws the strategic target markets and their corresponding exporting strategies through identifying the market positions in the dimensions of market attractiveness scores and market positional strength to achieve the innovative export promotion of Korean heavy electric industry and the resulting improvement and reversal of comparative-disadvantage position. In chapter 2, we analyze the stages of selecting target markets, the constructs and their measure variables of market attractiveness models, and the components and strategic policy implications of directional policy matrix. And in chapter 3, we identify the comparative advantage positions of Korean heavy electric industry in the global market through analyzing its trade structure, trends, balance, ratio-balance, and specialization index by the item and the region respectively. We find that the Asia/Pacific region is the most attractive export market of the Korean heavy electric equipment industry, the following important strategic target markets are the America, MENA, CIS/East Europe Regions in the order of their attractiveness and competitive position dimensions. In the mean time, the sub-Sahara Africa and West Europe region is shown to be the long-run-viewpoint target market requiring the innovation or divest strategies owing to their low attractiveness and the low market share of Korean exports.

Promoting the Consumption of Electric Vehicles: an Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • Purpose: Electronic vehicles (EV) consumption become more prevalent among Vietnamese consumers. This paper aims to empirically assess the determinants of EV purchase intention among Vietnamese consumers. The research findings are expected to promote the consumption of electric vehicles in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: The quantitative research approach employed the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The sample size includes 301 respodents. Research design unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and UTAUT2. The data collection process employ the non-probability sampling. Questionaire survey consists of 24 questions given to respondents via Google Form link. Data is processed by SPSS version 20 software. Results: The results proposed 04 determinants of the intention to buy electric vehicles: Government Support, Environmental Concern, Price Value, and Performance. Conclusions: Theorectical implications and managerial implications are also discussed to promote the consumption of electronic vehicles in Vietnam. Besides, the findings show that Price value, Environmental Concern and Performance positively affect the purchase intention of EV among Vietnamese consumers. Remarkably, Government Support is proven to be an insignificant factor in EV purchase intention. The call for further research rely on the role of government support in order to promote EV consumption in Vietnam and other emerging markets worldwide.

유희용전차의 시설에 관한 국내적용실태 분석 (Analysis of Domestic Apply Actual Condition about the Facilities of Amusement Electric Train)

  • The electric train is a kind of amusement ride and it is installed in a lot of amusement parks. The object of this study was to analyze and to find out of problem about electrical facilities of amusement electric train. For the purpose of this study, we give careful consideration to the technical standard to be Notification of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and foreign electrical codes and we carried out an actual condition investigation on twelve amusement electric trains from among domestic amusement parks. As a result, we could how that there is discrepancy between the electrical regulations and the actual condition.

  • 무선 통신 기술이 발전함에 따라 모바일을 이용한 전자상거래가 활성화되었다. 이러한 전자상거래의 안정성을 보장하기 위해서 WPKI가 개발되었지만 모바일 단말기의 기술적 제한 때문에 유선통신에서와 같은 안전한 PKI 서비스를 보장받기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 단말기의 제한적 특성을 고려해 안전하고 효과적인 전자금융 서비스를 위한 인증 시스템과 안전한 전자서명을 위한 암호화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이는 WPKI에서 각 인증기관의 상호인증을 가능하게 하고 KCDSA 알고리즘과 SEED 알고리즘을 이용한 서명인증을 통해 안정성을 높였다.

한국기업의 베트남지역 해외직접투자 패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study on Foreign Direct Investment Pattern of Korean Enterprises in Vietnam)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the investment environment of Vietnam and analyze the actual investment state of Korean enterprises in Vietnam and seek for the points at issue. In general, the investment environment in Vietnam shows both a positive side and negative side. However Vietnamese market is a attractive one as ever for direct investment of Korean enterprises considering their constant economy growth, investment increase of foreign company for Vietnam, China risk. And the point at issue in investment of Korean Enterprises is as follows. That is, inclining to manufacturing, preference of independence investment, small-sized investment by small and medium enterprises, preference of greenfield investment, restricted purpose of investment, insufficiency of infrastructure for logistics, electric power, legal system. The results of the study indicate mainly that the investment of Korean enterprise into Vietnam needs a switchover of the third service trade-tertiary industry, collaboration with Vietnamese enterprise through joint venture investment, a large-scale investment for Vietnam domestic market and neighboring countries' market, practical use of M&A with existing Vietnamese enterprise and diverse purpose for investment.

한국제조업의 대미 수출경쟁력 변화분석 (An Analysis on Export Competitiveness of Korea Manufacturing Industries in the U.S.A. Market)

  • Though weight manufacturing has in national gross production is decreasing, it has still a decisive role in economic growth of Korea, and foreign competitiveness of manufacturing has a great influence on our whole economy. Therefore, as this study speculates export competitiveness of manufacturing item by item, the results can be used for selection of strategic export-oriented products. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows: first, products that are found as competitive through analysis of trade specialization indexes are plastic, rubber, fabric, home electronic appliances, computers, communication equipment, automobiles and their spare parts. Second, electronic-electric industry such as semi-conduits, communication equipment, home electronics, computers was decided as advantageous through analysis of comparative advantages at present, while paper, print and publishing, and leather industries were classified as comparatively disadvantageous. Its political implications are presented as follows: Private corporations should develop more advanced technology and government should give more support to secure export competitiveness of manufacturing toward America. Governmental policies should be prepared to induce consistent and daring investment to technology-intensive products for export products with high-added value.
