Magnetic and Thermal Evaluation of a Magnetic Tunneling Junction Current Sensor Package

  • Nowadays there are magnetic sensors in a wide variety of equipment such as computers, cars, airplanes, medical and industrial instruments. In many of these applications the magnetic sensors offer safe and non-invasive means of detection and are more reliable than other technologies. The electric current in a conductor generates a magnetic field detected by this type of sensor. This work aims to define a package dedicated to an electrical current sensor using a MTJ (Magnetic Tunnel Junction) as a sensing device. Four different proposals of packaging, three variations of the chip on board (CoB) package type and one variation of the thin small outline package (TSOP) were analyzed by COMSOL modeling software by simulating a brad range of current injection. The results obtained from the thermal and magnetic analysis has proven to be very important for package improvements, specially for heat dissipation performance.

  • The train configuration is based on one unit like basic 4 cars to multiple unit operation. Each unit has unique node such as train formation number. Some equipments(TC, CC) of TCMS are connected to the master TC through the LonWorks network. When the train is consist of multiple unit, TCMS has to implement quick network for data communication overall train. But a variable time delay is generated when it is performed communication with point to point type using train formation number. In this paper we propose new method to know the node information of adjacent unit. that is to add digital input signals notifying cab direction at any cabin. Also, we provide the optimized screen design that all collected information via network is displayed by each unit.

  • Diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP) which has high physical flexibility, various colors, low viscosity, high stability is used as coating material in ballon, vinyl ink, tent, textile, home and cars interior design and electric cable.   • The brake system of a high speed train has a crucial role for the safety of the train. To develop a safe brake system of the high speed train, it is necessary to understand the braking principle and phenomena of the total brake system and its subsystems. In this paper, we have suggested a mathematical model which includes car dynamics, interactions between cars, adhesive forces, brake blending algorithm, and the dynamics of each brake devices. Also, we have proposed a ready-time compensation algorithm of eddy-current brake system and a brake control logic on electric-pneumatic blending. A simulation study has shown the proposed models and algorithms are effective on the braking of the train.

  • Most eco-friendly cars can adopt the concept of an integrated battery charger (IBC), which uses currently available motor drive systems. The IBC has a lot of strong points such as low cost and minimum space for the high voltage battery charger. On the other hand, it also has some defects caused by its structure. In this paper, the shortcomings of the conventional IBC for PHEVs with interior permanent magnet motors are discussed, and two advanced IBCs with improved performance are presented. Compared with the conventional IBC, the two advanced IBCs have plenty of strengths such as low common noise, high efficiency, simple sensing methods, etc. Then, the digital control algorithm is modified and a power loss calculation is carried out with simulation software. Finally, experimental results are provided to show the performance of the IBC systems.

  • In the past, when there were few vehicles on the road, the T.O.D.(Time of Day) traffic signal worked very well. The T.O.D. signal operates on a preset signal cycling which cycles on the basis of the average number of average passenger cars in the memory device of an electric signal unit. Now days, with increasing many vehicles on restricted roads, the conventional traffic light creates startup-delay time and end-lag-time. The conventional traffic light loses the function of optimal cycle. And so, $30-45\%$ of conventional traffic cycle is not matched to the present traffic cycle. In this paper we proposes electro sensitive traffic light using fuzzy look up table method which will reduce the average vehicle waiting time and improve average vehicle speed. Computer simulation results prove that reducing the average vehicle waiting time which proposed considering passing vehicle length for optimal traffic cycle is better than fixed signal method which doesn't consider vehicle length.

Today, with increasing traffic and congested roads, the conventional traffic light creates startup-delay time and end lag time so that thirty to forty-five percent efficiency in traffic handling is lost, as well as adding to fuel costs. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new concept of optimal green time algorithm, which reduces average vehicle waiting time while improving average vehicle speed using fuzzy rules and neural networks. Through computer simulation, this method has been proven to be much more efficient than fixed time interval signals. Fuzzy Neural Network will consistanly improve average waiting time, vehicle speed, and fuel consumption.

적층구성이 CFRP 사이드 부재의 충돌안전성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Stacking Condition on Collision Safety of CFRP Side Member)

  • The global demand for reduction in the weight of automobiles has led many countries to focus on the development of hybrid, eco-friendly, and electric cars. Reduction in the weight of materials can both increase fuel efficiency and maximize automobile performance. Therefore, the design of automobile should be inclined towards the safety aspects. but at the same time, it also consider reducing the structural weight of an automobile. In this study, CFRP side members with circular and double hat shaped section was manufactured. The impact collapse tests performed with change of the stacking condition, such as variation of interface number and outerlayer angle. The impact collapse load and absorbed energy were quantitatively analyzed according to the changes in section shapes and stacking condition. This analysis was performed to obtain design data that can be applied in the development of optimum lightweight members for automobiles.

  • This study evaluates the strength of surface treatment parts using the hard anodizing method to the aluminum alloy brake disks. In order to achieve weight reduction of vehicles, Eco-friendly cars parts of the high-quality and competitive price is to equip. Especially while pursuing parts of weight reduction, it has to maintain the strength of the surface of the brake by nature. To enhance surface strength of aluminum alloy, we use hard anodizing technology in the surface treatment. This study is resulted of 3 times greater the hardness value of the hard anodized specimen than the aluminum alloy specimen for the lightweight parts of EV brake disk

  • The process of railway traffic planning is composed of several steps such as long-term, mid-term. short-term, and real-time plan. The planning of vehicle and manpower resources is a main research topic in tactical short-term planning step. Railway vehicle is usually consisted of a power car, passenger/freight cars and human resource is composed of engine driver, cabin crew, ground personnel. So far, power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high-speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of trainset vehicles become important, In this paper, we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.
