  • Evaluation on jean products were varied although they were the identical jeans. Therefore, we could confirm the bias by price. brand, and store when consumer evaluating jean products. The various consumer characteristics also provided effects evaluation on jean products. An evaluation on jean products is very subjective and the degrees depending on these three cues could be varied by consumer's characteristics. For empirical study, experiments by the subjects among students of ewha womans university were done by using jeans as stimulus. Data was collected by a questionnaire made up by a researcher based on the theoretical and pretest. Data was analyzed by ANOVA, factor analysis, grouping analysis, F-test, and etc. 571 data were analysed out of the 600 data. Cues such as price, brand, and store affected significantly the evaluation of jeans. The most important cue of all three was store, then price, and then brand. These three cues affected the evaluation of jean products separately and together. The result of the study was that the consumers characteristics mediated the effects of extrinsic cues like price, brand, and store on jean products evaluation. Consumer's characteristics like prior knowledge and shopping orientation mediated the effects of price, and store cue on jean products evaluation.

  • Photothermal properties depend on the characteristics of energy transfer processes in solution. In this study, a time-resolved single beam thermal lens experiment in various solvents is employed to investigate the energy coupling effects which govern the energy transfer processes. Interestingly, it is observed that the behaviour of the photothermal propagation in solution depends on the property of solution and the concentration of solute in a single beam thermal lens configuration. These characteristics lead us to consider the solute-solvent coupling effects as well as the solvent-solvent interactions.

  • This study had two purposes. One was to investigate the interrelations between the mothers' parenting stress and fathers' parental involvement, social support, and the mothers' psychological characteristics. The other was to prove that the fathers' parental involvement and social support have an effect on the mothers' parenting stress, and that these effects are mediated by the mothers' psychological characteristics. For this purpose, the data of 1,754 2-year-olds and their mothers from the 2010 Panel Study on Korean Children were analyzed using PASW ver. 21.0 and AMOS ver. 23.0 to carry out descriptive statistics, correlation co-efficiencies, and structural equation model, along with the Sobel test. The results showed that the mothers' parenting stress had significant, negative correlations with the fathers' parental involvement, social support, and mothers' positive psychological characteristics. The findings also proved that not only the fathers' parental involvement, but also social support, had significant effects on the mothers' parenting stress, and that the mothers' positive psychological characteristics mediated these relations.

  • This study was to examine single or combined in vitro effects of environmental endocrine disruptors on boar sperm characteristics, oxidative stress damage in sperm and development of porcine IVF embryos. Addition of various concentration of NP (10, 20, $30{\mu}M$), DBP (10, 50, $100{\mu}M$) and BPA (1, 5 or $10{\mu}g/ml$) on boar sperm characteristics such as percentages of sperm motility, viability, membrane integrity and mitochondrial activity were dose-dependently decreased within 3, 6 or 9 hr incubation period (p<0.05). The overall detrimental effects increased with incubation time increasement. NP, DBP and BPA showed the detrimental effects on sperm membrane and mitochondria of energy production organelles affecting cell viability with the dependancy of dose and incubation time. In combination effects, NP ($10{\mu}M$) + DBP ($10{\mu}M$) significantly decreased boar general sperm characteristics for 3 or 6 hr incubation period compared with control (p<0.05). When both of NP and DBP concentrations (NP; $30{\mu}M$, DBP; $100{\mu}M$) increase, the detrimental effects on sperm characteristics were larger than those of low concentration combination (p<0.05). The inhibitory effects of NP ($30{\mu}M$) + BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$) on sperm characteristics were larger than those of NP ($10{\mu}M$) + BPA ($1{\mu}g/ml$) (p<0.05). DBP ($100{\mu}M$) + BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$) decreased sperm characteristics compared with the low concentration combination (DBP $10{\mu}M$ + BPA $1{\mu}g/ml$, p<0.05). This result indicates the detrimental effects of both chemicals on sperm characteristics were dose dependent. Addition of NP ($30{\mu}M$) + DBP ($100{\mu}M$), NP ($30{\mu}M$) + BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$), DBP ($10{\mu}M$) + BPA ($1{\mu}g/ml$) or DBP ($100{\mu}M$) + BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$) significantly increased lipid peroxidation for 3 or 6 hr incubation period (p<0.05) compared with no addition control. NP (${\geq}20{\mu}M$) decreased the percentages of IVF embryo development from morulae and blastocyst stages (p<0.05) and its detrimental effects were dose-dependant. BPA 0, 1, 5 or $10{\mu}g/ml$ decreased significantly and dose-dependently the percentage of morulae plus and blastocysts (p<0.05). Combinations of DBP ($100{\mu}M$) plus NP ($30{\mu}M$) and DBP ($100{\mu}M$) plus BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$) did not affect on morulae and blastocyst development, but NP ($30{\mu}M$) plus BPA ($10{\mu}g/ml$) has significant detrimental effect on embryo development at these stages (p<0.05). These overall results indicate that the partial detrimental effects on boar sperm characteristics and embryo development by NP, DBP, BPA or the combination of these chemicals might be due to the increasement of lipid peroxidation and free radical formation in the cell and there were no specific interaction effects on boar sperm and embryo degeneration among the combined treatments.
