광학렌즈 AR 코팅에 따른 폴리머애자에서의 방전 자외선 강도 비교 (Comparison of Discharge UV Intensity Due to AR Coating of Optic Lens on Polymer Insulator)

  • In this study, the ultraviolet (UV) intensity of polymer insulator was measured using the Anti-Reflective (AR) coating lens on the occurrence of corona discharge. The UV intensity was compared before and after the AR coating. Under the 200-260[nm] of UV lens, the reflection rate before AR coating was 7.5~5.5[%] with 85-89[%] of transmission rate. After AR coating, however, the reflection rate decreased to 1.3~1.22[%] with improved transmission (97.4~97.6[%]). Then, the UV intensity by distance was measured in the polymer insulator. According to the measurement, the UV intensity increased 6.5 times at 37.5[%] of Vm/Vbd with 5[m] of distance. As distance increased, the growth rate declined. As high voltage increased, in addition, AR coating was less effective due to the count error caused by the UV sensor pulse signal overlap. Therefore, it appears that it would be more effective to detect corona discharge with 5[m] or less of distance at diagnosis of power facilities by AR coating and UV sensor sensitivity.

논의 배수물꼬의 유량에 관한 기초연구 (A Study on the Outlet Drain Discharge from Paddy Field)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the drain runoff characteristics from one paddy field, and to provide the basic data required for the determination of flood discharge and unit drainage water for drainage improvement and farmland consolidation. For this purpose, under the assumption that drain discharge from paddy field was similar to outflow of reservoir, runoff model based on storage equation was applied to the experimental field, and simulated results were compared to the measured discharge at weir point. To estimate effective storage volume of paddy field with water depth, 4 regression formula were examined such as linear, exponential, power, and combined. From the observed runoff characteristics, it was shown to be 3.3~16.3${\ell}$/sec in weir discharge, 57.2~98% in runoff ratio, and relative error of simulated result was 3.0~39.4%, 8.5 ~56.0 % for peak flow and runoff ratio, respectively. Curve number by SCS method was calculated as mean value of 96.4 using measured rainfall and runoff data, it was considered relatively high because paddy field has generally flooding depth contrary to the upland watershed area.

저밀도폴리에틸렌의 표면처리와 화학발광특성 (The Chemiluminescence Characteristics of the Surface Treated Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE))

  • Low density polyethylene is widely used as an insulating material In electric power cables. It is most important to know the beginning of its aging by partial discharge and UV-ray. That Is reason which we investigate chemiluminescence of the LDPE treated by partial discharge, UV-ray and corona discharge. We find that it takes one hour on spectra of IR but 0.17 minutes on chemiluminescence in the variation of chemical by partial discharge. Also we knew that Lithium carbonate-added(1phr) LDPE offered obvious suppressing effect on aging by partial discharge through the chemiluminescence. Therefore, the chemiluminescence is a highly sensitive and effective measurement method to appreciate characteristics of the treated surface and the oxidation reaction.

낙동강 주요지점에서 유량-수질의 관련특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Related Characteristics of Discharge-Water Quality in Nakdong River)

  • This study aims at the examination of the relative characteristics of discharge and water quality in river basins using statistical methods. For it, water quality and discharge data was collected in observed stations of Nakdong river and carried out correlation analysis, regression analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis. And it was investigated the applicability of water quality prediction using Nearest-neighbor method. As a result, it grasped a trenditional characteristics and mutual relations between discharge an water quality data. Therefore, this results were suggested the comprehensive data and methods for a management of water quality, effective operation and policy development in Nakdong river basin.

  • Voltage transfer curves have been used for analyzing the micro-discharge characteristics of cells in ac-PDP. This paper deals with the effect of working gas species, pressure and frequency of applied voltage on the micro-discharge characteristics. Using the mixture gases of He+Xe or He+Ne+Xe, wall voltage steeply varied compared with only He gas, and also voltage margin increased. Discharge voltage and voltage margin increased with increasing Xe percentage, and also wall voltage more steeply varied. In addition, the variation of effective wall capacitance which is significantly dependent on the discharge strength is discussed.

  • Recently, the HFPD measurement testing is widely used in partial discharge measurement of HV machines because HFPD measurement testing receives less influence of external noise and has a merit of good sensitivity. Also HFPD testing is able to offer the judgement standard of degradation level of HV machine and can detect discharge signals in live-line. Therefore it is very useful method compare to previous conventional PD testing method and effective diagnosis method in power transformer that requires live-line diagnosis. But partial discharges have very complex characteristics of discharge pattern so it is required continuous research to development of precise analysis method. In recent, the study of partial discharge is carrying out discover of initial defect of power equipment through condition diagnosis and system development of degradation diagnosis using HFPD(High Frequency Partial Discharge) detection. In this study, simulated transformer is manufactured and HFPD occurred from transformer is measured with broad band antenna in real time, the degradation grade of transformer is analyzed through produced patterns in simulated transformer according to applied voltages.

  • In this paper, a new structure for a dC plasma display pane(PDP) with a wall-catode and a wall-auxilizry anode has been suggested. The wall-cathode with a sufficient discharge area maximizes the discharge volume. The auxiliary anode surrounding the discharge region makes the effective control of the charged particles possible. We have investigated the cahracteristics of the new cell structure with a 2-dimensional computer simulation and a micro gap discharge system, and compared experimentally with those of previous cell structure. The new cell structure with the wall-cathode and auxiliary wall-anode turned out to have improved luminance, discharge forming time and sustain voltage.

Comparison of Piano Key and Rectangular Labyrinth Weir Discharge Efficiency

  • Nonlinear weirs, such as labyrinth and piano key weirs, are suitable methods to handle increased flood flows that may be expected due to climate change. Although specific physical models are considered to be an effective way of investigating fluid flows, simply conducting physical model tests is insufficient to fully comprehend the hydraulic and discharge characteristics of non-linear weirs. In this study, computational fluid dynamics algorithms have been used extensively to investigate complex flow physics instead of relying on reduced scale models. The discharge capacity of the piano key weir and the rectangular labyrinth weir is compared using a three-dimensional numerical model, which is validated by the available experimental data. The results confirm that piano key weir is more efficient than the rectangular labyrinth weir for a wide range of head water ratios. By analyzing the contribution of discharge over inlet, outlet and sidewall crests, the factor that make the piano key weir superior to the rectangular weir is the sidewall discharge.

  • GIS(Gas insulated switching gear) is power equipment with excellent dielectric strength and is economy merit in high confidence and stability. Recently, because equipment of GIS was occurring problem of confidence used for a long time, partial discharge on-line diagnosis systems have been importantly recognized. Partial discharge (PD) detection is an effective means for monitoring and evaluation of dielectric condition of gas insulated system (GIS). The ultra-high-frequency (UHF) PD detection technique can detect and locate the PD sources inside GIS by detecting electromagnetic wave emitted from PD source. Therefore, real-time diagnostic system using UHF detection method has been developed for this application is being expanded gradually. However, the signal of partial discharge occurring in SF6 gas is very weak and susceptible to external noises which mainly consist of PD in air. Thus, it is important to distinguish the PD in SF6 gas more sensitively from the external noises. Unfortunately, these external noise signals and the partial discharge signals have very similar characteristics. Therefore, to solve this problem, we need the signal processing method for distinguish partial discharge signals with external noise signals for improvement of SNR(signal to noise ratio) and sensitivity. In this paper, we proposed internal signal processing method for removing external noise signals with built-in pre.amplifier and frequency conversion circuit.

RF/DC 방전을 이용한 고 진공용SUS 용기세정에 관한 연구 (A study on the RE/DC discharge cleaning for high vacuum SUS chamber)

  • 초청정을 요구하는 진공용기의 내벽세정을 위한 RF 및 DC 방전세정장치를 제작하여 여러 가지 방전조건에 따라 세정효과를 조사하였다. Baking없이 방전세정만을 수행하였을 때는 baking만 진행했을 때와 비슷한 세정효과를 나타내었으며 세정후의 탈기체율은 반으로 줄어들었다. Baking과 방전세정을 동시에 진행하면 세정효과가 매우 증대되어 세정후의 탈기체율이 1/20으로 감소하였다. Baking과 방전세정을 동시에 수행 시 여러 방전조건에 따른 세정효과를 조사하였는데 이온이 진공용기 내벽에 부딪히며 세정을 할 때 이온에너지와 이온밀도가 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 보였다. 진공용기를 세정함에 있어 RF방전세정이 DC 방전세정보다 효과적이라는 결과를 얻었다.
