This study is intended to investigate the properties of early strength development by application of TEA to the field. According to the results, when TEA is added, fluidity is almost same to base concrete, and increases upto aimed slump after field flowing. Setting time does not differ in the case of base and TEA, but is retarded after flowing. The time when compressive strength gains 5 MPa, which side form can be removed, is 23 hours, and so the removal time is shortened by 1hours in comparison with plain concrete. But compressive strength is almost same to that of plain concrete at 28 days. The rebound value of P type schmidt hammer show similar tendency to compressive strength, and the rebound value of structure is higher than that of standard curing specimen due to heat capacity effect and drying by the air outside. Therefore, it is thought that if the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer is controled. by about 26 in consideration of open air environment, it is very effective to determine the removal time of side forms.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using method and replacement ratio of limestone powder and water-cement ratio on the compressive strength and the resistance to sulfate attack of mortar incorporating limestone powder as fundamental study to use limestone powder as an addition for concrete. As a results, The method using limestone powder as a part of cement showed decrease of the compressive strength of mortar. The strength of mortar incorporating limestone powder almost decided upon unit cement content. It was recognized that the method replacing limestone powder as a part of cement was effective to decrease the heat of hydration in concrete. The method using limestone powder as a part of fine aggregate showed the considerable increase of the strength and resistance to sulfate attack of concrete. Furthermore, it was recognized that the method using limestone powder as a part of fine aggregate were effective materials as an addition for concrete in view of the improvement of strength and resistance to sulfate attack.

In this study, on the structure simulation for manufacturing a high strength/light weight 48V battery housing for a mild hybrid vehicle was conducted. Compression analysis was performed in accordance with the international safety standards(ECE R100) for existing battery housings. The effect of plastic materials on compressive strength was analyzed. Three models of truss, honeycomb and grid rib for the battery housing were designed and the strength characteristics of the proposed models were analyzed through nonlinear buckling analysis. The effects of the previous existing rib, double-sided grid rib, double-sided honeycomb rib and double-sided grid rib with a subtractive draft for the upper cover on the compressive strength in each axial direction were examined. It was confirmed that the truss rib reinforcement of the battery housing was very effective compared to the existing model and it was also confirmed that the rib of the upper cover had no significant effect. In the results of individual 3-axis compression analysis, the compression load in the lateral long axis direction was the least and this result was found to be very important to achieve the overall goal in designing the battery housing. To reduce the weight of the presented battery housing model, the cell molding method was applied. It was confirmed that it was very effective in reducing injection pressure, clamping force and weight.

Slump flow, compressive strength, flexural strength and drying shrinkage were measured to evaluate workability and mechanical performance of geopolymer. Experimental parameters include the addition of gypsum, blending ratio of blast furnace slag and fly ash and addition of shrinkage reducing agent. Geopolymer using blast furnace slag mixed with gypsum showed larger slump flow than blast furnace slag without gypsum. The slump flow when blending ratio of blast furnace slag and fly ash is 5:5 tended to be larger than the slump flow when blending ratio is 8:2. Geopolymer using blast furnace slag without gypsum showed higher compressive strength and flexural strength than blast furnace slag mixed with gypsum. Compressive strength and flexural strength tended to be higher when blending ratio of blast furnace slag and fly ash was 8:2 than when blending ratio was 5:5. Drying shrinkage decreased with increasing fly ash and blast furnace slag without gypsum, and it was found that shrinkage reducing agent is effective to reduce drying shrinkage of geopolymer.

In a previous study, design charts where proposed to help the torsional design of axially restricted reinforced concrete (RC) beams with squared cross section. In this article, new design charts are proposed to cover RC beams with rectangular cross section. The influence of the height to width ratio of the cross section on the behavior of RC beams under torsion is firstly shown by using theoretical and experimental results. Next, the effective torsional strength of a reference RC beam is computed for several values and combinations of the study variables, namely: height to width ratio of the cross section, concrete compressive strength, torsional reinforcement ratio and level of the axial restraint. To compute the torsional strength, the modified Variable Angle Truss Model for axially restricted RC beams is used. Then, an extensive parametric analysis based on multivariable and nonlinear correlation analysis is performed to obtain nonlinear regression equations which allow to build the new design charts. These charts allow to correct the torsional strength in order to consider the favourable influence of the compressive axial stress that arises from the axial restraint.

Mineral hydrate is a new insulation material that compensates for the defects of existing materials. Mineral hydrate is made of inorganic ingredients; therefore, it is nonflammable. The porous structure of mineral hydrate makes the material lightweight and insulating. Mineral hydrate insulation and similar products have been studied and manufactured in Korea and abroad. However, these insulation materials need to improve in terms of strength. In this study, basalt fiber was used to enhance the strength. In order to observe the property changes, compressive strength, heat conductivity, and specific gravity were measured and XRD pattern analysis was performed. These tests confirmed that basalt fiber was effective at improving the strength and lowering the heat conductivity of mineral hydrate insulation.

Recently, the use of C.S.G is gradually increasing as the construction material for dam, road, revetment and so on. The strength characteristics of C.S.G is affected by various influence factors such as specimen size, maximum grain size and water contents. Therefore, When designing and constructing the C.S.G structure, it is very important for us to understand the nature of used materials well and to test it's quality. Commonly, C.S.G strength test is used the cylinders specimen size of $15{\times}30$ at KS F2405. But, the specimen size extracted from the field structure is not regular. This paper aims at offering the experimental data about the compressive strength and elasticity modulus by change of the specimen size for the effective quality control of the C.S.G structure.

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) laminate sheets, which are lightweight with high strength, are commonly used to reinforce concrete structures. The bonding strength is vital in structural design. Therefore, experiments and analytical studies with differing variables (concrete compressive strength and tensile strength, the elastic modulus of concrete and FRP, thickness of concrete and FRP, width of concrete and FRP, bond length, effective bond length, fracture energy, maximum bond stress, maximum slip) have been conducted to obtain an accurate numerical model of the bond strength between an FRP sheet and concrete. Although many models have been proposed, no validated model has emerged that could be used easily in practice. Therefore, this study analyzed the parameters that influence the bond strength that were used in 23 of the proposed models (Khalifa model, Iso model, Maeda model, Chen model, etc.) and compared them to the test results of 188 specimens via the numerical results of each model. As a result, an easy-to-use practical model with a simple and high degree of expression was proposed based on the Iso model combined with the effective bond length model that was proposed by Holzenkӓmpfer.

This study aimed to examine the cause of latent hydraulic property manifestation of ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBFS) using different alkali activators in pH, type and quantity. According to the experimental result, the higher pH value accelerated lastly latent hydraulic property and the early stage strength of GCBFS was ranked as activators with the higher pH, in an order of NaOH, $Ca(OH)_{2}$ and $Na_{2}$$Co_{3}$. Also, NaOH had accelerated latent hydraulic property of GGBFS, which had 40~50% of the 3 and 7 days compressive strength of base mortar in case of using 10% of powder-weight. In the case of 30% of GGBFS substitution with annexing 2.5% $Ca(OH)_{2}$, the compressive strength on the 3 and 7 days of the early-age, was increased to 5~10% than that of the same admixture with no activator. With annexing 5.0% $Ca(OH)_{2}$, the strength was increased to 10~20%. Although activator NaOH was effective on the manifestation of latent hydraulic property, it caused cement mortar compressive strength decrease by enlarging pore diameter.

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is widely used as an effective partial cement replacement material. GGBFS inclusion has already been proven to improve several performance characteristics of concrete. GGBFS provides enhanced durability, including high resistance to chloride penetration and protection against alkali silica reaction. In this paper results of an experimental research work on influence of low-reactivity GGBFS (which is largely available in Iran) on the properties of mortars and concretes are reported. In the first stage, influence of GGBFS replacement level and fineness on the compressive strength of mortars was investigated using Taguchi method. The analysis of mean (ANOM) statistical approach was also adopted to develop the optimal conditions. Next, based on the obtained results, concrete mixtures were designed and water penetration, capillary absorption, surface resistivity, and compressive strength tests were carried out on highstrength concrete specimens at different ages up to 90 days. The results indicated that 7-day compressive strength is adversely affected by GGBFS inclusion, while the negative effect is less evident at later ages. Also, it was inferred that use of low-reactivity GGBFS (at moderate levels such as 20% and 30%) can enhance the impermeability of high-strength concrete since 28 days age.
