This paper describes a dynamic robotic assembly system in which an industrial robot executes peg-in-hole task in a moving state. As an effective means to synchronize the end-effector of the robot with the moving conveyor this work uses a control algorithm which is essentially a PID position control scheme combined with velocity feedforward loop. A RCC wrist is used for the inserting task and its force responses are investigated for various tracking conditions and inserting velocities through a series of experiments.

Basically, the mis-convergence, which is inevitable in CRT Projection TV. is the degree of deviation of red and blue from green beam. The cause of mis-convergence is the change of magnetic field and electrical characteristic in deflection circuits and convergence amplification circuit. A new and easily implementable mis-convergence compensation algorithm is presented in this paper. The proposed algorithm does not needs any compensation devices. It uses only TV OSD and a remote controller and anyone who wants to compensate can easily correct the mismatch. Through real compensation experiments, it is found that the proposed algorithm is useful and effective one.

This paper presents a method for procedure-based on-line program replacement for user applications. To deal with the size change in the procedure to replace, the method uses the unmapped area of process address space for mapping a new version of procedure. The method is effective in that and it does not cause large performance loss during the replacement or require any additional software layer for the replacement. The method is illustrated in the SUN Solaris environment.

For accurate interpretation, ECG signal is measured by using 12 leads method. We look shape of Measured ECG signal and decide whether interpretation is accurate or not. In this paper, we propose new effective fuzzy decision system which uses fuzzy rules and membership functions for more accurate of ECG wave. We used PR interval, QRS interval and QRS axis as conditional variables for designing fuzzy rules. And decision rule of conclusion variable is determined by (sinus rhythm), (sinus rhythm+left deviation), (sinus rhythm+right deviation) and (sinus rhythm+negative axis). Experimental results showed our system made numerically easy decision possible and had advantage of simple design method.

This paper proposes an effective algorithm for following a wall by an autonomous mobile robot with sonar sensors and infrared sensors in an indoor environment. The proposed method uses deadreckoning to estimate the current position and orientation of a mobile robot. Sonar sensor data are used to estimate shape and position of wall using proposed algorithm. Infrared sensor data are used as assistant when sonar sensor data is uncertain. Simulation results using mobile robot show that the proposed algorithm is proper for the following wall.

We propose a method which has effective scalable indexing characteristics of large color image archives. Color key and energy key method which uses provides high performance of fast accessing and has almost constant query response time over DH size.

In this paper, we propose a motion estimation algorithm using hierarchical structure. The algorithm uses the image pyramids from the repetitive application of Gaussian filtering and decimation, and performs an inter-level displacement propagation in its motion estimation process. The motion estimation algorithm based on the hierarchical structure is shown to be very effective since this scheme utilizes the local imformation as well as the global imformation. The experimental results on the various data imdicate that compared to the Horn and Schunck's method, the proposed algorithm yields an accurate motion estimation with a fast convergence behaviour.

Aspirin is one of the oldest synthetic drugs and remains the most widely used medical agent. It is a household remedy effective in treating such common ailments as headache, minor muscular pain and fever. Aspirin is the drug choice for rheumatic fever and arthritis which some five million Americans suffer. Lately it has been established by double-blind and randomized clinical studies that regular aspirin intake reduces the incidence of mild strokes and heart attackes.

A new 2-D block Kalman filtering method which uses a nonlinear function is presented to generate a more accurate filtered estimate of a range image that has been corrupted by additive noise. Novel 2-D block Kalman filtering method is constructed of the conventional method and nonlinear function which utilizes to control estimation error. We show that novel 2-D Kalman filtering method using a nonlinear function is effective at reducing the additive noise, not distorting shape edges.

For the purposed of improving the utilization of natural chemical pigment, carthamin, of Carthamus tinctorius, the effective extraction methods on this compound were pursued in the present study. The best solvent for the extraction was found to be the 1 %(v/v) NaOH solution, at 25 hours. In addition, more carthamin was extracted flowers from main stem than fromb-ranches . The carthamin content of Korean local safflower was shown to be higher than that of Japanese variety used for medicinal uses.
