혼합현실 기반 중증외상 처치 시뮬레이션 교육 요구 조사: 군병원 간호사 대상 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 적용 (Educational needs of severe trauma treatment simulation based on mixed reality: Applying focus group interviews to military hospital nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the educational needs of a severe trauma treatment simulation program based on mixed reality which combines element of both virtual reality and augmented reality. Methods: Focus group interviews were conducted with ten military hospital nurses on February 4 and 5, 2021. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative content analysis. As a framework for data analysis, the educational needs were clustered into the following four categories: teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching evaluation, and teaching environment. Results: The educational needs for each category that emerged were as follows: three subcategories including "realistic education reflecting actual clinical practice" and "motivating education" for teaching contents; five subcategories including "team-based education," "repeated education that acts as embodied learning," and "stepwise education" for teaching methods; six subcategories including "debriefing through video conferences," "team evaluation and evaluator in charge of the team," "combination of knowledge and practice evaluation" for teaching evaluation; six subcategories including "securing safety," "similar settings to real clinical environments," "securing of convenience and accessibility for learners," and "operating as continuing education" for teaching environment. Conclusion: The findings of this study can provide a guide for the development and operation of a severe trauma treatment simulation program based on mixed reality. Moreover, it suggests that research to identify the educational needs of various learners should be conducted.

중학교 일반교실 실내음향 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Computer Simulation of Acoustic Characteristics in Middle School Lecture Room)

  • The purpose of the research on the noise of educational facilities is to build up pleasant environments by minimizing the influence on the students in the school. This study provides fundamental data for acoustic design by measuring, computer simulation and analyzing the room acoustic characteristics of the lecture room in middle school. For measurement on the factors of room acoustic, RT of lecture room and noise reductions depending on various walls of different structures were measured and analyzed. The lecture system being installed and carried out on the normal lecture room was divided into 4 types-employment of multimedia machines, employment of multimedia machines and loud speakers, employment of loud speaker, and existing verbal speaking-and SPL for each type was measured and analyzed. Based on the measured characteristics of acoustic characteristics for normal lecture room, the problems for environment of noise were understood through computer simulation, applications for improvements of performance for each facility were studied, schemes for improvements of performance by using the effects were presented, necessary fundamental data were secured, and schemes to enhance flexibility on the existing facilities of school against changing educational courses were secured.

시뮬레이션 후 구조화된 자가 디브리핑이 간호대학생의 임상수행능력, 자기효능감 및 교육 만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Structured Self-Debriefing Using on the Clinical Competency, Self-Efficacy, and Educational Satisfaction in Nursing Students after Simulation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of structured self-debriefing using 3S models on the clinical competency, self-efficacy, and educational satisfaction in nursing students after simulation. Methods: For this study, 76 third-year undergraduate nursing students from S university were invited. They were divided into two groups, which consisted of a self-debriefing (SDG=41) group and an instructor-led debriefing group (ILDG=35). Collected data was analyzed using Chi-square, t-test, and an independent t-test with the PASW statistics 18.0 for Windows Program. Results: Clinical competency was generally high in the SDG, and statistically significant differences between the SDG and the ILDG occurred after simulations 3, 4, and 5. There were no statistically significant differences in self-efficacy and educational satisfaction between the SDG and the ILDG. However, educational satisfaction in the SDG was slightly higher, while self-efficacy was low compared to the ILDG. Conclusion: The results indicate that the method of structured self-debriefing using a 3S model can be effective in improving clinical competency. Further studies need to be investigated.

시뮬레이션기반 고유량산소요법 교육 프로그램이 임상간호사의 지식, 임상수행능력 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Simulation-Based High Flow Nasal Cannula Oxygen Therapy Training Program on the Knowledge, Clinical Performance and Educational Satisfaction of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop a simulation-based High Flow Nasal Cannula Oxygen Therapy training program based on NLN/ISF to identify the effect on knowledge, clinical performance, and educational satisfaction compared to a group who had traditional High Flow Nasal Cannula Oxygen Therapy training after applying it to clinical nurses. Methods: 31 experimental groups and 33 control groups were conducted from August 2019 to September 2019 for inexperienced nurses over 4 months to 5 years with no experience using high-flow oxygen therapy. Educational programs were developed in scenarios according to Airvo2 and Optiflow, such as facilitator, participant, educational condition, design, characteristics, and educational outcomes. The education application was conducted in advanced for knowledge and clinical performance ability after watching therapy video. Since then, a total of 90 minutes have been conducted for respiratory failure theory training, airvo2 and optiflow simulation training, and debriefing. After applying the education, the medical institution measured nurses' knowledge, clinical performance, and education satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, with the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Results: Both knowledge and educational satisfaction were higher in the experimental group than in the control group (t=-14.09, p<.001), (t=-12.99, p<.001). The clinical performance for both use of Optiflow and Airvo2 were higher in the experimental group than in the control group (t=-11.39, p<.001), (t=-11.38, p<.001). Conclusion: Results showed that the simulation-based High Flow Nasal Cannula Oxygen Therapy training was effective with the experimental group having increased scores for every area of this study.

고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육이 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of High Fidelity Simulation-Based Education on Communication Self-Efficacy, Communication Competence and Educational Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육을 적용한 후 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력 및 교육만족도에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 사후 설계이다. 2021년 10월 28일부터 11월 18일까지 4주 동안 A시 소재 대학에 재학 중인 간호 대학생 4학년 42명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, x2 test, independent t-test를 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 고충실도 시뮬레이션 기반 교육 후 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감(t=2.87, p=.007), 의사소통능력(t=2.96, p=.005), 교육만족도(t=4.75, p=<.001)는 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 고충실도 시뮬레이션을 활용한 심정지 응급간호교육이 간호 대학생의 의사소통 자기 효능감, 의사소통능력, 교육만족도를 향상시키는데 효과적이었다.

아파트 구조물 설치에 따른 교육환경 일조량 분석 (Analysis of Sunshine Amount for Education Environment according to Installation of Apartment Structures)

  • 최근에 노후화된 도시정비사업으로 토지의 집약적 이용을 위해 아파트 및 공동주택을 초고층 및 고층 아파트 구조물로 재건축 승인함에 따라 인근 주거지역의 일조권 침해에 따른 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히, 교육시설에 있어서의 일조량 침해에 따른 교육환경 여건은 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 이러한 교육환경 일조량 분석을 위해 Auto $CAD^{(R)}$ 프로그램을 이용하여 교육시설물에 대하여 3차원 모델링으로 구성하였다. 그리고, 시뮬레이션 기법으로 교육시설에 있어서 창과 운동장을 채광기준면으로 설정하여 태양의 움직임에 따른 진태양시의 일조량을 아침 8:00에서 오후 4:00까지1분 단위로 계산하였다. 또한, 아파트 신축공사 전 후의 피해에 따른 교육시설의 일조환경을 수치화하였고 일영투사법에 의해 제작된 영상과 비교하여 교육환경 일조량을 검증할 수 있었다. 향후 이러한 시뮬레이션 기법을 활용하여 교육환경일조량 분석에 효율적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

위내시경 수술을 받는 조기 위암 대상자를 위한 동영상 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of a Simulation-based Educational Program for Gastroendoscopic Surgery Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a simulation-based educational program on anxiety and discomfort in patients with early stage of stomach cancer or stomach adenoma undergoing gastroendoscopic surgery. Methods: The study employed a non-equivalence control group and non-synchronized design to prevent diffusion of treatment. Data were collected from 110 patients (experimental group=55, control group=55) admitted to a department of gastroenterology to undergo gastroendoscopic surgery for early stage of stomach cancer or stomach adenoma. The program was conducted as a 30-minute simulation-based education including 12 processes which patients would experience. Outcome variables were state anxiety, objective discomfort, and subjective discomfort. Results: The scores of state anxiety in the experimental group significantly decreased over time compared to those in the control group. The scores of objective and subjective discomfort after surgery in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Conclusion: The study findings suggested that the simulation-based educational program making a person feel sense of real experiences could reduce anxiety and discomfort in gastroendoscopic surgery patients.

학교 환경교육을 위한 하천 수질 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 프로그램 SimRiver의 활용 (Trial of Educational Computer Simulation Software 'SimRiver' for Assessment of River Water Quality for Environmental Education in Schools)

  • SimRiver, computer simulation software for assessment of river water quality is an educational simulation software created for studying the relationship between human activity and river environment using epilithic diatom communities, The SimRiver program was applied to total seventy eight teachers of elementary, middle and high schools in Korea, and the teachers' reactions were analyzed with the questionnaire survey. Total 79.2% of the teachers estimated the possibility of SimRiver to be applied as a educational material in lessons is high. Especially total 93.6% of the teachers answered that they will use SimRiver in their lessons. The results of the questionnaire survey indicate that SimRiver is an interesting and easy simulator of alternative field exercise for students to understand the relationship between human activity and quality of river water.

신생아집중치료실 간호사를 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 응급기도 관리 교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects a Simulation-based Emergency Airway Management Education Program for Nurses in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of an educational intervention by evaluating neonatal emergency airway management knowledge, critical thinking disposition, problem-solving ability, and confidence in clinical performance after developing and operating a simulation-based neonatal emergency airway management education program for nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit. Methods: The participants were 30 nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit. Data were collected from June 6 to 15, 2018 and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 22.0. Results: The results of the pretest and posttest for each educational group showed statistically significant improvements in neonatal emergency airway management knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and confidence in clinical performance. Conclusion: The simulation-based neonatal emergency airway management training program was an effective educational program that enhanced neonatal emergency airway management knowledge, critical thinking disposition, problem-solving ability, and confidence in clinical performance among nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit. Therefore, it is suggested that the program described in this study can contribute to improving nursing quality by enhancing the ability of nurses to cope with emergencies in practice. It can also be used for education for new nurses and contribute to the development of nurses' practices.

시뮬레이션 기반 허약노인 방문간호 교육 요구도 (Educational needs for the development of a simulation module of home visiting care for the frail elderly)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the educational needs of nurses and nursing students for the development of a simulation module of home visiting care for frail, elderly people. Methods: Focus group interviews were conducted with 15 home visiting nurses working in public health centers and 14 nursing students who experienced home visiting from September 10 to October 10, 2018. Results: Bloom's taxonomy of learning objectives, namely, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains was used as a framework for data analysis. The defined educational needs for each domain were as follows: "understanding frail, elderly people" for the cognitive domain; "intervention for mental health" and "building a therapeutic relationship" for the affective domain; and "nursing skills", "health education for healthy lifestyles", "referral to the community resource connection", "protection for visiting nurses" for the psychomotor domain. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, a simulation module of home visiting care for frail, elderly people can be developed and used for nursing students and nurses to strengthen the capacity for home visiting care.
