Solving the disclosure problem of sensitive information with the k-nearest neighbor query, location dummy technique, or interfering data in location-based services (LBSs) is a new research topic. Although they reduced security threats, previous studies will be ineffective in the case of sparse users or K-successive privacy, and additional calculations will deteriorate the performance of LBS application systems. Therefore, a model is proposed herein, which is based on geohash-encoding technology instead of latitude and longitude, memcached server cluster, encryption and decryption, and authentication. Simulation results based on PHP and MySQL show that the model offers approximately 10× speedup over the conventional approach. Two problems are solved using the model: sensitive information in LBS application is not disclosed, and the relationship between an individual and a track is not leaked.

Security administrators of companies and organizations need to come up with proper countermeasures against cyber-attacks considering infrastructures and security policies in their possession. In order to develop and verify such countermeasures, the administrators should be able to reenact both cyber-attacks and defenses. Simulations can be useful for the reenactment by overcoming its limitations including high risk and cost. If the administrators are able to design various scenarios of cyber-attacks and to develop simulation models from their viewpoints, they can simulate desired situations and observe the results more easily. It is challenging to simulate cyber-security issues, because there is lack of theoretical basis for modeling a wide range of the security field as well as pre-defined basic components used to model cyber-attacks. In this paper, we propose a modeling method for cyber-security simulations by developing a basic component and a composite model, called Abstracted Cyber-Security Unit Model (ACSUM) and Abstracted Cyber-security SIMulation model (ACSIM), respectively. The proposed models are based on DEVS(Discrete Event systems Specification) formalism, a modeling theory for discrete event simulations. We develop attack scenarios by sequencing attack behaviors using ACSUMs and then model ACSIMs by combining and abstracting the ACSUMs from a security perspective. The concepts of ACSUM and ACSIM enable the security administrators to simulate numerous cyber-security issues from their viewpoints. As a case study, we model a worm scenario using ACSUM and simulate three types of simulation models based on ACSIM from a different security perspective.

Plastic surgery training worldwide has seen a thorough restructuring over the past decade, with the introduction of formal training curricula and work-based assessment tools. Part of this process has been the introduction of revalidation and a greater use of simulation in training delivery. Simulation is an increasingly important tool for educators because it provides a way to reduce risks to both trainees and patients, whilst facilitating improved technical proficiency. Current microsurgery training interventions are often predicated on theories of skill acquisition and development that follow a 'practice makes perfect' model. Given the changing landscape of surgical training and advances in educational theories related to skill development, research is needed to assess the potential benefits of alternative models, particularly cross-training, a model now widely used in non-medical areas with significant benefits. Furthermore, with the proliferation of microsurgery training interventions and therefore diversity in length, cost, content and models used, appropriate standardisation will be an important factor to ensure that courses deliver consistent and effective training that achieves appropriate levels of competency. Key research requirements should be gathered and used in directing further research in these areas to achieve on-going improvement of microsurgery training.

Each university runs curriculum for pre-service teachers to improve teaching skills and designing classes and realizing them. Pre-service teachers can have opportunities of designing and realizing charming classes in the course of practice teaching. We can say that if pre-service teachers can practice simulation for effective teaching skills, there can be some advantages: improvement of class environment, consolidation of instructors' abilities, and thus a ripple effect of for those within the whole community. The purpose of this study is to introduce and indicate the direction of simulation for pre-service teachers and beginners alike, thus training and expecting them to improve effective questioning skills through systematic education courses.
Experiments in electrical engineering should mirror the key components of successful research and development: Understand the basic theory needed, test the resulting concepts by simulation and verify these, finally, in the experiment. For optimal learning outcome continuous monitoring of the progress of each individual student is necessary, immediately repeating those subjects which have not been learned successfully. Classically, this is the task of the teacher. In case of remote-controlled experiments this monitoring process and the repetition of subjects should be automated for optimal learning outcome. This paper describes a remote-controlled experiment combining theory, simulation and the experiment itself with an automated monitoring process. Only the evaluation of the experimental results and their comparison to the simulation results has to be checked by a teacher. This paper describes the details of the educational structure for a remote-controlled experiment introducing active filtering of harmonics. For better understanding the content of the learning material (theory and simulation) as well as the results of the experiment and the underlying booking system are shortly presented.

In this study, an simulation app was developed as one of the methods to help learners better understand the eight process scheduling policies of multi-programming. In learning, an app in the form of a simulation should provide a realistic environment and allow learners to practice. To do this, the needs of the learners were investigated and analyzed, and the purpose was set, designed, and programmed based on the learners' understanding. And it was shown that the apps as a tool to simulate the created eight scheduling policies are performing well. In particular, it was shown that the problem of not having a step-by-step various diagram and explanation for step-by-step various inputs, which is a limitation of paper textbooks, can be solved using these tools.
Purpose: This study investigates the participation status in clinical nursing education and nurses' continuing education needs to develop educational programs. Methods: Participants were 227 nurses working in medical institutions where nursing students practiced, and the selection criteria were nurses with more than two years of clinical education experience; data were collected using structured questionnaires. Results: More than half of the clinical nurses had completed a preceptor training program for clinical nursing education, and the subjects mainly educated by nurses were new graduate nurses and nursing students. The obstacles to clinical nursing education were lack of compensation, lack of manpower, lack of patient nursing time, excessive workload, and lack of knowledge as educators. The educational methods preferred in continuing education were small-group workshops and online education. The desired educational topics in continuing education were current nursing practice standards, simulation nursing education, and the role of clinical nursing educators. Conclusion: Based on our results, it is necessary to understand the importance of clinical nursing education, which is essential for clinical nurses, to prepare a specific system for them and to develop and operate a systematic education program according to medical institutions' characteristics.
