Attitudes and contacts were assessed respectively using the Attitude Towards Disabled Person scale and the Contact with Disabled Persons. Result: Overall attitude scores of the subjects in groups of health care professionals, lay persons, and disabled persons were lower than those of individuals in the corresponding groups in other countries (F=3.232, p=.031). Health care professionals and lay persons had more negative attitudes towards disabled persons than those of disabled persons. Scores of the Contact with Disabled Persons were also lower in all three groups, as compared to those of the corresponding groups from other countries. Disabled persons had significantly more contact experiences with disabled persons than individuals in other two groups. Conclusion: Health care professionals as well as lay persons and disabled persons have negative attitudes toward people with disabilities. The aim of study is to present a better teaching strategy to reduce writing errors of Chinese learners of Korean language after finding out what reasons of errors were after analyzing of their writing errors in Korean language. Analyzed contents were writhing in Korean language of 'how I think Korean', 'about Chinese and Korean culture', 'friends' and analyzed what errors were occurred. The vocabulary errors frequencies were counted by the criteria which was set by a researcher. The results were as follows. The frequency of substitute error was the most and were followed by spelling error, wrong type error, omission error and adding error. It is suggested when we teach Korean Language to Chinese learners and develop text for them, the vocabularies should be presented with examples of how to be used in context instead of presenting only vocabulary on the text. It would be a better way to reduce writing errors of Chinese learners of Korean language.

Background Phenomenography suggests that more variation is associated with wider ways of experiencing phenomena. In the discipline of mathematics, broadening the 'lived space' of mathematics learning might enhance students' ability to solve mathematics problems Aims The aim of the present study is to: 1. enhance secondary school students' capabilities for dealing with mathematical problems; and 2. examine if students' conception of mathematics can thereby be broadened. Sample 410 Secondary 1 students from ten schools participated in the study and the reference group consisted of 275 Secondary 1 students. Methods The students were provided with non-routine problems in their normal mathematics classes for one academic year. Their attitudes toward mathematics, their conceptions of mathematics, and their problem-solving performance were measured both at the beginning and at the end of the year. Results and conclusions Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the problem-solving performance of students receiving non-routine problems improved more than that of other students, but the effect depended on the level of use of the non-routine problems and the academic standards of the students. Thus, use of non-routine mathematical problems that appropriately fits students' ability levels can induce changes in their lived space of mathematics learning and broaden their conceptions of mathematics and of mathematics learning.
This research aims to compare and identify the prospective elementary teachers' perspectives on mathematics class. In this aim, we analyzed the comments on the mathematics class by the prospective elementary teachers (senior students and junior students) who are differ in the time of study in the University of Education. As the results of this research, the senior students commented the mathematics class by applying the theories in mathematics education, but the junior students did not. Furthermore, the senior students had the more rigid perspectives on mathematics class and commented in more depth on mathematics class in comparison with the junior students. While, the senior students showed a weak point that they overextended and over-applied the some mathematics education theories in the comments on mathematics class.
Teacher noticing ability has been considered as one of important elements influencing a quality of teaching. Noticing is closely related to teachers' in the moment decision making in a class, and teachers notice things as they create and interact with their classroom setting. Mathematics teachers as an expert should notice students' mathematics learning during a class. The aim of this study was to analyze how mathematics teacher's pre-noticing activity that the teacher anticipated students' typical strategies and difficulties in learning targeted mathematics knowledge and prepared appropriate responses worked in practice. As a result, the teacher conducted three types of noticing in her classes: noticing shaping students' understanding by using students' misconceptions or errors; noticing creating students' learning opportunities based on their prior knowledge; noticing improving students' informal reasoning. This study concluded with discussion about the positive effect of teacher's pre-noticing activity on her actual noticing in practice, as well as implications for teacher education.
The aim of this descriptive study was to investigate the general knowledge and attitude about HIV/AIDS among physical therapists and physical therapy students. This study was carried out from April, 2003 to October, 2003 for collecting data. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) The physical therapist and physical therapy students were conscious of need for physical therapeutic intervention for complication of HIV/AIDS. 2) The physical therapist and physical therapy students were conscious of need for educational program about HIV/AIDS. 3) The knowledge of transmission mode in sexual intercourse of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists to patients with HIV/AIDS. 4) The knowledge of prevention of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists to patients with HIV/AIDS. 5) The knowledge of regarding symptom of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists to patients with HIV/AIDS. 6) The knowledge of general transmission mode of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists and physical therapy students to patients with HIV/AIDS. 7) The knowledge of transmission risk factors in work site of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists and physical therapy students to patients with HIV/AIDS. 8) The knowledge of needs for prevention in work site of HIV/AIDS influence the attitude of physical therapists to patients with HIV/AIDS. In conclusion, physical therapists and physical therapy students with more knowledge of HIV/AIDS could positively treat HIV/AIDS patients.
The major aim of this study was to provide information on the chemical accidents that occurred in laboratories over the last 3 years. Method : The collected materials of totally 1,100 people who responded were carried out frequency analysis by using SPSS 12.0(Statistical Package for the Social Science). Results : 1. As for the results of awareness on fluoride effect and sealant effect, the students with response to 'effect of preventing decayed tooth' were indicated to be the highest. It was indicated to be the highest in girls as for gender and in the 2nd grade as for school year. (p<0.05). 2. As for the results of being created when eating sweet food and carbonated drink, the students with response as saying that 'a decayed tooth occurs well' were indicated to be the highest. 4. As for the results on the aim of visiting dental clinic, the students with response as saying of 'visiting for having treatment' when tooth is painful were indicated to be the highest. Conclusion : Synthesizing this study, the students' awareness on preventive method of dental caries was high. But the practice on regular check-up or diet was indicated to be low. Through oral health education, the adolescents should be not only delivered information or knowledge, but also changed habit and behavior.
