  • The purpose of this study was to develop Family Welfare Program for strengthening Family Life, especially focused on the Family Life Education. In order to perform the above research purpose, this study was organized three sections. First, conceptualizing strong family second, measurement the degree of strong family third, is about the Family Life Education. I defined that the concept of strong family is functional family that is family members(husbands & wives)perform successfully internal family functions. I measured the strong family by means of family function performance scale which is composed by 54 questionnaires. Through the survey study with the family function performance scale. I recognized the necessity of Family Life Education for strengthening family function. Family Life Education(FLE)is an educational specialty which was originated in reaction to changing social conditions, industrialization, and urbanization. It deals with the perceive inadequacies of families to cope with these changes, thereby reducing social problems involved with, and improving family life. With and assumption that the studies about FLE have not been so active in Korea, the present thesis examines the FLE in Korea : i.e., the defintion, the objectives, the scope, the approximation of family life education, and the necessity of marital education in Korea based upon the published theories of FLE in the United States of America. Also, it attemps to formulate tentative plan for the promotion of a FLE program in Korea. The concept of FLE in Korea was mainfested itn the social educational law and lifespan institutional, governmental attention. It is defined as "the family life education to enhance the quality of human life, to solve family problems, to develop and individual's potentiality, and to strengthen the family interaction." Of the FLE program, the marital education is considered one of the crucial subjects because it is the core of the family life. With this premise, FLE tries to support the healthy marital relations, subsequently helping to explore the family potentiality and to strengthen family ties. Considering the seemingly dual characteristics of the contents of marital educations, and effective expressions of mutual affection. In addition, reciprocal understanding and cooperation of the married couples to overcome the differences of value, personality, hobby, and religion, the educational methods in child rearing kids, and the effective management of home economics should be included. The objects of the FLE program are unmarried, pre-married, and married persons. For the married persons, the FLE program should be arranged in accordance with their marital status classified by the family life cycle so that they amy prevent possible family problems t each stages of the family life. Also, to prevent the problems incurred in the course of carrying out family functions, the FLE program should be provided with on the basis of a family unit, there by improving the quality of the family functions.

  • This study was carried out to learn about the contents of communication between mother and her adolescents in this country, and possible differences in the contents of communication with demographic variables. In particular, I wanted to find out the following; 1)contents of communication between mother and her adolescents. 2)Contents of communication between parents with adolescents. 3)Possible differences in the contents of communication with differences in the level of education, employment status, and age of mother, family income level, and sex, and birth order of children. To test these hypotheses, I distributed questionnaires to 600 mothers of selected high school juniors(11th grade) in Seoul. Four hundred and fourty-eight questionnaires were returned, and the results were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, and x2-test. The results were as following; 1) In general, mothers communicated well with their adolescents, especially in topics related to studying, friends, school, parents and family, and future career. Communication on sex-education or sex-role, however, was rather limited in contents. ool, parents and family. Communication on sex-education or sex-role of adolescent was almost never attempted. This result showed similarity with 1 above. 3) (1) contents of communication and educational level of mother; contents of communication between mother and her adolescents differed significantly with educational level on all topics except parents and family, indicating that the educational level of mother, the more diverse was contents of communication between mother and her adolescents. (2) Contents of communication and employment status of mother: On all topics except sex-education, communication between mother and her adolescents differed significantly between employed and unemployed mothers, indicating that unemployed mothers communicate on greater number of topics with their adolescents than employed mothers do. • This study assesses the necessity of popular music instructor training, and promotes the establishment of popular music educational institutions and certification related to applied music education. Popular music has profound influence in popular culture, and is gradually diversifying. However, successful singers predominantly remain mostly boy/girl performance groups lacking musical skills. This study posits the cause of this problem is the absence of popular music instructor training systems, and suggests solutions. Currently, Korea's popular music lacks a public education system that teaches students effectively. Also, popular music is acknowledged as field-oriented, and isn't recognized for its academic value. Lastly, the lack of professional instructor training system in higher educational institutions creates challenges in fostering effective teachers. Solutions to these problems include establishing dedicated educational institutions and establishing certification programs. Implementing these solutions will provide significant positive effects in developing globalization for the currently stagnant K-pop industry. In addition, these solutions would contribute to the stabilization of the popular music industry, enhancing the image, and developing the popular music industry in general. In conclusion, this study promotes the popular music industry development by influencing and promoting awareness of music professionals, not just applied music students.

  • The dietary habits of middle-aged obese, overweight and normal subjects were evaluated for the purpose of providing the background information of the degenerative disease control. A survey was conducted with 293 subjects (121 males and 172 females) between the ages 40-64 and they were divided into three groups of normal (BMI 18.5-22.9), overweight (BMI 23-24.9) and obese ($BMI\geq25$) based on the criteria of Korean Obesity Association (2000). The mean age of the subjects was $52.0\pm7.3(male)\;and\;51.9\pm6.9$ (female). Socioeconomic levels of subjects belong to the mid-upper class, since 71.9% of the males and 39.5% of the females received above a college education. More than 40% (44.6%) of males and 22.1% of females were obese, and educational background did not affect the obesity rate in males, whereas in females those who received lower education had a higher rate of obesity (p < 0.001). The subjects had a similar degree of drinking to the national average value. but had a lower degree of smoking. The obese group had the higher rate of drinking (p < 0.01) and smoking (p < 0.01). The annual increase in weight, more than 4 kg, was 8.8% for normal group and 30.9% for obese group. However, there were no differences in the mean annual increase in weight among the three groups. In females there were greater tendencies of weight changes in obese group (p < 0.05). About 44.9% of subjects responded that they were exercising regularly, and the obese group appeared to put into practice less than the other groups and to use more strenuous exercise. There was the greater rate of skipping dinner in the obese female group (p < 0.05). The unbalanced dietary pattern was found more with normal group than the other groups (p < 0.01). The food consumption frequency by food groups was not different among the groups. The obese group consumed less frequently meats, vegetables and fruits and had higher frequency in fish, legumes and their products, instant or fast food. In all subjects the higher rate of obesity was found with males than females and with those of heavier smoking and drinking, and in females the higher rate of obesity was found with lower education levels, skipping meals and having an unbalanced diet. In middle-aged subjects of this study with higher educational and socioeconomic background factors contributing to the effects of obesity may include smoking, drinking, educational background, skipping meals or unbalanced dietary pattern. The predictable characteristics for the development of obesity can be defined as sudden fluctuation of weights, exercise regularity and intakes of vegetables and fruits.

  • Recent years have drawn a great attention to generation MZ and Metaverse, due to 4th industrial revolution and the development of digital environment that blurs the boundary between reality and virtual reality. Generation MZ approaches the information very differently from the existing generations and uses distinguished communication methods. In terms of learning, they have different motivations, types, skills and build relationships differently. Meanwhile, Metaverse is drawing a great attention as a teaching method that fits traits of gen MZ. Thus, the current research aimed to investigate how to increase the use of Metaverse in Educational Technology. Specifically, this research examined the antecedents of popularity of Gather Town, a platform of Metaverse. Big data of news articles have been collected and analyzed using the Bigkinds system provided by Korea Press Foundation. The analysis revealed, first, a rapid increasing trend of media exposure of Gather Town since July 2021. This suggests a greater utilization of Gather Town in the field of education after the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, Word Association Analysis and Word Cloud Analysis showed high weights on education related words such as 'remote', 'university', and 'freshman', while words like 'Metaverse', 'Metaverse platform', 'Covid19', and 'Avatar' were also emphasized. Third, Network Analysis extracted 'COVID19', 'Avatar', 'University student', 'career', 'YouTube' as keywords. The findings also suggest potential value of Gather Town as an educational tool under COVID19 pandemic. Therefore, this research will contribute to the application and utilization of Gather Town in the field of education.

  • Physical experiment through MBL has been used in many schools for a long time since students can check the experiment results immediately and conduct the experiment easily. However, conducting the experiment, not knowing the principle of the device or simply concentrating on the derived data has been raised as the problem of MBL experiment. To supplement this problem, this study measured the acceleration of gravity with the picket fence method, which is often used in MBL experiment, utilizing Arduino, calculated the error rate through a comparison to the actual acceleration of gravity and discussed the educational application of the experiment to measure it. As a result of the experiment, the error rate between the acceleration of gravity calculated by the experiment and the actual acceleration of gravity was about 1%, so it turned out that relatively accurate measurements were possible. Also, the sample mean of the experimental value was included in the confidence interval of 95%, so it could be concluded that it was a significant experiment. In addition, this study showed the possibility of the educational application of the experiment to measure it through the following: It can supplement the structural disadvantages of MBL; it can consider the interaction between Physics and Math; it is possible to converge with information course in STEAM education; and it is inexpensive to be equipped with the equipment. Hopefully, the physical experiment utilizing Arduino will further be revitalized in science gifted education based on this study.

  • This study examined inservice elementary teachers' thoughts on the development of educational apps by preservice elementary teachers and implications for TPACK education for preservice elementary teachers. A case study was conducted in which preservice elementary teachers developed a science education app, and the three teachers were surveyed for their thoughts regarding this. The results regarding the characteristics of the developed app by preservice teachers were as follows. First, "inquiry" had the highest value among educational goals intended by the preservice teachers. In addition, the scores for tool-type apps and apps in which interaction between learners and instructors occurs were relatively high. Second, most of the preservice teachers developed apps to meet curriculum goals, but their apps showed low-level characteristics in terms of the constructive and cooperative dimensions. The results of the analysis of the thinking of elementary school teachers regarding the education development apps are as follows. First, elementary school teachers assigned the lowest scores to the effectiveness of the apps, and to this problem, the achievement standard with respect to the curriculum and the evaluation and modification activities fir the apps were proposed. Second, the teachers indicated that it would be appropriate to provide the experience of making apps to directly improve the TPACK of preservice teachers. Third, the respondents thought that preservice teachers should develop block coding literacy to create apps using App Inventor. Fourth, the teachers considered it necessary to emphasize simulated instructions, as well as the experience of collecting and handling data through apps to improve preservice teachers' TPACK app development for educational use.
