  • Globalization of higher education deepens the competition in the global educational services market. Competition between higher education institutions is based on the use of a wide range of activities and tools that are constantly evolving and becoming more complex. Digitalization significantly transforms the approaches to competition between universities in educational, research and marketing activities. Digital technologies are becoming an integral part of this competition. In addition, in the current conditions of globalization of the scientific and educational space, numerous rankings of universities have become an important tool of the competition; the most significant rankings of universities are as follows: Academic Ranking of World Universities (China), Times Higher Education Rankings of Universities (Great Britain), Webometrics (Spain). In the article, the key principles of the formation of world rankings of universities are analyzed, the main sources of information resources for their compilation are determined. The authors have concluded that the improvement of the position of educational institutions in the world rankings of universities should be implemented within the framework of the state educational policy. • The rapid growth of instructional videos repositories and their widespread use as a tool to support education have raised the need of studies to assess the quality of those educational resources and their impact on the quality of learning process that depends on them. Khan Academy (KA) repository is one of the prominent educational videos' repositories. It is famous and widely used by different types of learners, students and teachers. To better understand its characteristics and the impact of such repositories on education, we gathered a huge amount of KA data using its API and different web scraping techniques, then we analyzed them. This paper reports the first quantitative and descriptive analysis of Khan Academy repository (KA repository) of open video lessons. First, we described the structure of repository. Then, we demonstrated some analyses highlighting content-based growth and evolution. Those descriptive analyses spotted the main important findings in KA repository. Finally, we focused on users' interactions with video lessons. Those interactions consisted of questions and answers posted on videos. We developed interaction profiles for those videos based on the number of users' interactions. We conducted regression analysis and statistical tests to mine the relation between those profiles and some quality related proposed metrics. The results of analysis showed that all interaction profiles are highly affected by video length and reuse rate in different subjects. We believe that our study demonstrated in this paper provides valuable information in understanding the logic and the learning mechanism inside learning repositories, which can have major impacts on the education field in general, and particularly on the informal learning process and the instructional design process. This study can be considered as one of the first quantitative studies to shed the light on Khan Academy as an open educational resources (OER) repository. The results presented in this paper are crucial in understanding KA videos repository, its characteristics and its impact on education.

  • An educational outcome cohort has been established at Keimyung University School of Medicine to help make educational policy decisions and improve educational programs based on data. The purpose of the educational outcome cohort is to support educational policy decisions for achieving graduation outcomes smoothly and to accomplish the intended human resources development of the university through objective analyses and regular monitoring, providing continuous feedback. The data collected for the educational outcome cohort include the student identifications of freshmen, entrance exam scores, premedical and medical school grades, titles and forms of student academic research, the results of psychological testing, scholarship recipient lists, volunteer clubs, and so forth. The data are collected using an information utilization agreement approved by the Institutional Review Board, and the collected data are encrypted and stored on a dedicated computer for enhanced personal information security. Proposals to access and utilize the educational outcome cohort data must be discussed and approved by the Educational Outcome Cohort Committee, which decides on the scope and method of utilization. The collected and managed educational outcome cohort data have been used to develop comparative programs to improve students' competency and to support admission policy decisions through an analysis of the characteristics and performance of medical school students. The establishment and utilization of the educational outcome cohort will play an important role in determining the School of Medicine's educational policies and suggesting new directions for educational policies in the future.

  • Educational institutions play a critical role in national development through the advancement of skilled human resources and intellectual society. The number of higher educational institutions (HEIs) is increasing significantly in Bangladesh. Students have a number of options from which to select their preferred educational institutions. Hence, HEIs should think about the quality of services they provide to students. The objective of this study is to measure students' satisfaction and university reputation through service quality (SQ) in a private higher educational institution (PriHEI) in Bangladesh. Primary data was collected from 270 students of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), Bangladesh, through a simple random sampling technique. In this study, data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation, measurement model using confirmatory factor analyses, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that transport services have indirect but medical and physical facilities have both direct and indirect significant effects on overall students' satisfaction. Further, the administrative services and research facilities have significant indirect effects on overall students' satisfaction. Finally, the results of structural equation modeling (SEM) confirm that the reputation of the university is directly associated with overall students' satisfaction.

  • Advances in technology have given educators a tool to empower them to assist with developing the best possible human resources. Teachers at universities prefer to use more modern technological advances to help them educate their students. This opens up a necessity to research the capabilities of cloud-based learning services so that educational solutions can be found among the available options. Based on that, this essay looks at models and levels of deployment for the e-learning cloud architecture in the education system. A project involving educators explores whether gement Systems (LMS) can function well in a collaborative remote learning environment. The study was performed on how Blackboard was being used by a public institution and included research on cloud computing. This test examined how Blackboard Learn performs as a teaching tool and featured 60 participants. It is evident from the completed research that computers are beneficial to student education, especially in improving how schools administer lessons. Convenient tools for processing educational content are included as well as effective organizational strategies for educational processes and better ways to monitor and manage knowledge. In addition, this project's conclusions help highlight the advantages of rolling out cloud-based e-learning in higher educational institutions, which are responsible for creating the integrated educational product. The study showed that a shift to cloud computing can bring progress to educational material and substantial improvement to student academic outcomes, which is related to the increased use of better learning tools and methods.
