  • Most advanced countries that are members of the World Physiotherapy have established a 4-year education system or specialized graduate school system for physical therapists based on national standards. They have also expanded their laws and systems to provide physical therapists with the autonomy and independence to offer services in their clinics. However, compared with developed countries in North America and Europe, there are issues with the autonomy and independence of physical therapists in Korea related to national regulations. Social status and recognition of the profession are also lagging. Korea is expected to become a super-aged society by 2025. To reduce the financial burden of healthcare and welfare on the government, it is necessary to extend the time spent by older adults on independent activities and minimize their time spent using medical services. To achieve this goal and maximize the active life of older adults, a plan to efficiently use licensed physical therapists in the country should be prepared. Korea should increase the license utilization rate of physical therapists to reduce waste at the national level and increase the professional hope of the younger generations of physical therapists. To create a healthcare policy focusing on the use of physical therapy personnel, similar to that in advanced countries, it is necessary to unify educational systems and produce excellent physical therapists. Providing professional autonomy can help physical therapists develop a sense of job satisfaction. Outstanding talent will choose physical therapy as a profession if they can see hope for their future careers, and if physical therapy services in Korea are similar to those delivered in advanced countries, physical therapy in Korea can develop into a healthcare service that people desire.

  • This study is a descriptive research study to analyze factors affecting their intention to use emergency contraceptive pills for nursing students. Data collected using the online questionnaire for 195 nursing students located in J province from February 3, 2021, to February 25, 2021. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0, and the analyses included descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient test, and multiple regression. As a result, the average knowledge about emergency contraceptive pills was 6.78±2.46 out of a total of 12 points, the average attitude 3.04±0.64 out of a total of 5 points, and the average intention to use 4.30±0.90 out of a total of 5 points. These factors were significant predictors of Intention to use emergency contraceptives pills and accounted for 13.4% of the variance. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop an education program for emergency contraceptives in order to prevent unnecessary treatment through appropriate use of emergency contraceptives pills when necessary. And a study to verify the effectiveness of the educational program is suggested.

Second, the top topic of peace education was 'peace education and civic education', and the top topic of unification education was ' sympathy and participation in unification education'. Third, topics that show an upward trend by regime in peace education were 'World Peace and Human Rights' and 'Object and Direction of Peace Education', and 'Subject of Unification Education' as topics that showed an upward trend by regime in unification education. Fourth, in peace education, the centrality of 'peace', 'education', 'student', 'school', and 'peace education' was high, and in unification education, 'unification', 'education', 'unification', 'school', and 'teacher' were high. Based on these results, it was intended to expand the horizon of understanding peace education and unification education, and to provide meaningful implications for establishing policies and conducting follow-up studies.

  • The purpose of the study is to draw competencies of faculty members at graduate school faculty to implements the NCS-based curriculum. A set of competency was deductively derived from a total of three professors and consultants with more than ten-year experiences and has been involved in developing the college curriculum. The political endeavors of the Korean government toward the competency-based education have been implemented as a movement to the NCS-based curriculum. The requirements for the reorganization of curriculum and education system as well as cooperation among faculty, industry, region and development part of NCS were suggested for the activation of NCS based education and the operation of NCS. However, one of the most critical factors in introducing and implementing the NCS-based curriculum is the role of faculty members. Therefore, it is an urgent issue to equip the faculties with required competencies. Result showed that the competencies required professors at graduate school for the NCS-based curriculum implementation were classified into four areas: marco-level curriculum development; micro-level course design; knowledge across areas; and attitude across areas.

  • A series of revolutionary industrial changes took place from the 18th century of the First Industrial Revolution. The fourth industrial revolution is a new industrial revolution in which intelligence and information unite. Social, cultural, economic and educational systems are expected to emerge within the category of access and experience. In the course of intelligent mechanization, manpower and machinery need to be commandeered. Tools should be left to the machine and humans should look at essential issues. In the 4th Industrial Revolution, the paradigm of education should fundamentally change. Instead of routine technologies based on memorization, one should learn how to access and utilize. It needs to focus on areas of debate, cooperation, communication, sensibility, and artistry that robots and artificial intelligence can not afford. The fourth industrial revolution is the fusion of human beings and technology, the humanities and the technology.

  • In recent years, most domestic colleges of engineering are continuously trying to enhance the quality of education in engineering so as to meet the international requirement of education standards of this era. In consequence, the colleges are willing to acquire the accreditation of education by the ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) so that they can find the right way for the education of engineering and establish concrete educational programs in engineering. In this contribution, we exemplify a case of the College of Engineering in Mokwon University to survey and analyze the current state of education in engineering. We adopt the AS-IS and TO-BE analysis model to assess the system and try to figure out the right way for custom-designed education. The analysis helps understanding of the current situation of local private universities and consequently be used as important data for acquiring the engineering accreditation for global standard.
