  • The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of Korean mothers in relation to parent education. Parent education was broadly defined in this study to encompass the various educational experiences that parents "try" and "undergo" both before and after becoming parents. Rather than being confined to a single program, we aimed to understand parent education as a cumulative process, comprising diverse experiences that shape parents' lives and roles. We conducted in-depth interviews with seven mothers of infants and toddlers, followed by a reflexive thematic analysis of the data. Four major themes emerged from the analysis. The first theme, "confusion about becoming a parent," describes the initial challenges of adjusting to the loss of freedom and the adaptation to new responsibilities. The second theme, "parent education through observation and experience," highlights how parents learned by observing and engaging with real-life situations before and after the birth of their children. The third theme, "active participation in purposeful parent education," focuses on structured educational programs in shaping parental roles. The final theme, "reflective thinking and personal growth through parent education," illustrates how reflective practices as a mother contributed to the parental development. This study underscores the importance of adopting a long-term perspective on parent education, recognizing the interconnected nature of parental and child development and appreciating the experiences of mothers who grow through reflective thinking.

  • The purpose of this paper was to study interior design research trend through categorizing the research in interior design process and investigating the research method used at each stage of the process. The ultimate aim was to evaluate the relationship of design process and interior design research and to indicate the guide line of future research. As results of the study, interior design research did not reflect recently increasing renovation and remodeling trend since evaluation research was less performed than data collection, program and design development research. Only educational/research space showed higher rate in evaluation research. In recent years, interior design research is interested in objective design problem solving since programming research Increased, and in user-participation planning since questionnaire and interview research Increased as data collection method. For the future research, it is expected researchers to show creative thinking process on the stage of design development and to develop various research method on the stage of evaluation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to diagnose the problems of the revision process of the curriculum, and identify the issues in relation to the 7th mathematics curriculum. From the review on the curriculum revision process in Korea, three issues were identified; timing and scale of curriculum revision, research and curriculum revision, and the relationship between the revision of the overall curriculum and that of a subject curriculum. Regarding the mathematics curriculum, the three issues were raised for further discussion; lack of philosophy behind the mathematics curriculum, optimization of mathematics educational content, and differentiated curricula for students of different abilities.

  • This paper explores desirable features of annual salary system a corporation can adopt to design it for R&D personnel or staff. This research, in particular, purports to examine how effective the money compensation is used to motivate R&D personnel and some differences with respect to their research areas, educational backgroudns and professional positions. In addition, the paper analyzes the motivational effectiveness of non-money compensation by comparing the preference level of the money and non-money rewards such as recognition, autonomy and responsibilities, etc. The response of R&D personnel as analyzed in this paper would provide a helpful reference for designing an annual salary system in R&D group.

  • The primary purpose of the constructivist teaching experiment is to experience and construct models of students' mathematical teaming and reasoning. The constraints the teacher experience in teaching experiment constitute a basis for understanding students' mathematics. The constructivist teaching experiment that includes a dynamic interaction process between teacher and students and between students and students, is the most hopeful research method in mathematics education. In this paper, I introduced the constructivist teaching experiment and showed several examples of applications that were used in the previous research.
