국가수준 중학교 학업성취도 평가 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of the National Assessment System of Middle School Educational Achievement)

  • 국가수준 학업성취도 평가는 2007년까지 표집 평가를 시행해 왔지만 2008년에는 해당 학년 전체를 대상으로 전수 평가 체제로 전환하였다. 이에 따라 학업성취도 평가 시스템에 대한 새로운 연구의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 논문에서 설계하고 구현한 학업성취도 평가 시스템은 기존 시스템과 달리 도수 분포표를 이용하여 석차계산 시간을 단축하고, 성적 통지표 출력을 위한 점수 입력을 자동화하였다. 또한 구현한 시스템에서는 도 전체 학업성취도 현황, 총점 및 교과별 점수 도수분포, 문항난이도와 변별도, 오답지 매력도, 교과별 성취도, 성별 지역별 성취도, 교육 청별 성취도, 학교별 성취도, 개인별 성취도, 성적 우수자 현황 등을 분석할 수 있다.

  • 현재 한국전력에서는 신배전정보시스템(NDIS : New Distribution Information System)이라는 배전분야의 전력설비 설계 및 유지 보수를 위한 통합시스템을 운영하고 있다. 이는 독점적으로 전력설비의 신규수용 및 유지보수를 하는 우리나라의 구조상 관련 업무를 하는 기술계직원들에게 있어 해당 시스템에 대한 숙련된 지식이 무엇보다 중요하다. 하지만, 이를 위한 교육에 있어서는 현재 한국전력 산하 교육기관인 'KEPCO Academy'의 교육과정 신청을 통한 오프라인 방식으로 교육이 진행 되다보니 관련 기술계 직원들을 위한 접근성 및 효율성이 많이 부족한 것이 현실이다. 따라서 해당 시스템 활용을 위한 보다 개선된 방식의 손쉬운 접근성을 보장해주는 효율적인 설계 시뮬레이션 교육시스템의 필요성을 인식하게 되었다. 이를 위해서 본 논문에서는 NDIS 시스템의 보다 빠른 적응과 응용력을 높이기 위하여 로컬기반의 NDIS 설계시스템을 Web을 통해 구현하고 해당 시스템을 통해 설계연습 및 결과에 대한 피드백을 받을 수 있도록 해주는 교육용 시뮬레이션 시스템개발에 관한 연구를 하게 되었다.

의복의 유행 스타일 수용과 선택기준 및 유행 정보원의 활용과의 관계연구 (A Study on Relationships between Fashion Style Adoption and Selection Criteria and Use of Fashion Information Sources in Clothing-Purchase)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between fashion style adoption and consumers' demographic characteristics, selection criteria and use of fashion information sources respectively and find out how their concerned variables influenced high fashion style adoption. For this study, the questionnaire was administered to a sample of 554 female adults in Kwangju. frequency distribution, Mean, Pearson's Correlation, Analysis of variance and Path Analysis were used fer the statistical analysis. The results obtained were as followers. 1) Level of fashion style adoption showed a normal distribution like a wave. 2) Consumer's demographic characteristics variables, such as age, educational level and income significantly associated with fashion style adoption. Younger consumers adopted tile high fashion style 41)an more aged consumers. while consumers in higher educational and income level adopted high fashion style than consumers in lower. 3) Among individuality, conformity, practicality and economy in selection criterias, only individually and practicality associated with fastion style adoption in clothing purchase. In the case of the high fashion style adoption, purchasing with individuality was increased, while purchasing with practicality was decreased. 4) The use of marketer dominated sources in fashion information sources significantlyassociated with fashion style adoption. In the case of high fashion style adoption, the use of marketer dominated and neutral information sources was higher. 5) The use of marketer dominated information sources had a main effect on high fashion style adoption in clothing purchase. Especially in the group composed of college students and occupational women, individuality and praticality as selection criterias came to be important effects. While in the group composed of housewives and non-occupational single women, age, educational level and income came to be important effects.

Analyzing Learners Behavior and Resources Effectiveness in a Distance Learning Course: A Case Study of the Hellenic Open University

  • Learning analytics, or educational data mining, is an emerging field that applies data mining methods and tools for the exploitation of data coming from educational environments. Learning management systems, like Moodle, offer large amounts of data concerning students' activity, performance, behavior, and interaction with their peers and their tutors. The analysis of these data can be elaborated to make decisions that will assist stakeholders (students, faculty, and administration) to elevate the learning process in higher education. In this work, the power of Excel is exploited to analyze data in Moodle, utilizing an e-learning course developed for enhancing the information computer technology skills of school teachers in primary and secondary education in Greece. Moodle log files are appropriately manipulated in order to trace daily and weekly activity of the learners concerning distribution of access to resources, forum participation, and quizzes and assignments submission. Learners' activity was visualized for every hour of the day and for every day of the week. The visualization of access to every activity or resource during the course is also obtained. In this fashion teachers can schedule online synchronous lectures or discussions more effectively in order to maximize the learners' participation. Results depict the interest of learners for each structural component, their dedication to the course, their participation in the fora, and how it affects the submission of quizzes and assignments. Instructional designers may take advice and redesign the course according to the popularity of the educational material and learners' dedication. Moreover, the final grade of the learners is predicted according to their previous grades using multiple linear regression and sensitivity analysis. These outcomes can be suitably exploited in order for instructors to improve the design of their courses, faculty to alter their educational methodology, and administration to make decisions that will improve the educational services provided.

농산어촌지역 교육의 특성과 문제점 분석 -세 학교에 대한 문화기술적 접근- (An Ethnography on Educational Activities of Three Middle Schools in Rural Area)

  • This paper was to study characteristics of school types based on classification of rural areas. This study tried to provide basic data for implementing the development of rural education policy for the community unit by classifying and analyzing administrative districts. For the purpose, the researcher carried out literature reviews and selected three schools considering the gaps in size and location of rural community. The researcher interviewed teachers and parents, to gather information about rural education, and conducted participant observation on educational activities. As a result, this study showed each rural school has its own distinct characteristics by the school types corresponding to each rural community. Characteristics with school types were influenced by school location, possible migration into the cities, possible opportunities of private tutoring, school size, social class distribution, socio-economic status, dwelling pattern of school teachers. In conclusion, it is important that the educational policies for rural area consider the different characteristics of rural schools.

블록체인 기술을 이용한 학교문서위조 예방모델의 연구 (Study of a prevention model against institutional documentation forgery using blockchain technology)

  • Exchanging information with a person without credentials over the Internet does not pose any problems. A decentralized system based on blockchain technology enables the user to exchange new value(currency) with other uncredited users. The blockchain technology creates a new paradigm in which the distribution system can be founded on trust. Various applied distribution systems are being developed based on this paradigm. This study analyzed the problems between an institute's grading system and the central administration system. The limitations of an institute's current central management system were presented through actual cases. To improve the problem, a decentralized system based on block chain technology was presented in order to overcome the fundamental limitations by utilizing blockchain technology, peer-to-peer network, and the distribution system. In the central system, a malicious moderator could create a malicious edit that becomes the cause of a dispute, but in a decentralized system, a problem cannot be created even if there were to be a malicious moderator. However, it is difficult for a single college institute to create a distribution system in order to actualize an effective system. Comparatively, it would be possible to create a decentralized system in which all educational institutes in Korea (elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges) took part in. The application of a decentralized system would improve the public transparency and reliability of educational institutes.

Information and Communication Technology Adoption in Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises: Demographic Characteristics

  • This study examines the acceptance factors, barriers, benefits, and strategies for resolving Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adoption and usage problems based on the different demographic characteristics of SMEs. The demographic characteristics investigated are gender, educational qualifications, age, managerial status, and years of business experience. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first to examine a more comprehensive demographic characteristics in the context of ICT adoption. A survey using self-administered questionnaires was conducted to retrieve information from SME owners/managers in Pekalongan, the local city of Indonesia. The items in the questionnaire were discussed with various experts in the field and a pilot study was conducted prior to the distribution of the research instrument. The study made some interesting findings. No significant differences were found in the SMEs' adoption factors between the demographics of gender groups and educational qualifications. However, significant disparities were found to exist among the age compositions, managerial status, and years in business. Additionally, younger managers/owners of SMEs find it easier to understand the background factors of ICT adoption. Lastly, older managers/owners are more likely to stick to the organizational status quo, be less able to learn new technology, and more likely to avoid risky decisions.

이산 확률 기법을 이용한 온톨로지 기반 교육 시스템 (Ontology based Educational Systems using Discrete Probability Techniques)

  • 기존의 인터넷 시스템에서 사용자의 요구와 목적에 따른 프레젠테이션과 컨텐츠를 탐색하는 데 있어 풍부한 링크구조 등으로 인해 일부 심각한 유용성 문제를 발생시키고 있다. 최근 많은 시스템에서는 온톨로지 기술을 이용해서 동적 적응이 가능한 다양한 시스템들을 연구하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이산 확률 분포 함수와 사용자 프로파일 기반의 동적 적응 모델을 적용한 온톨로지 기반 교육시스템을 설계하였다. 이 시스템은 온톨로지를 이용해서 교육 컨텐츠의 재사용성을 향상시켰고, 이산 확률 분포 함수와 동적 적응 모델을 이용해서 학습자에게 동적 컨텐츠를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 모델은 응용 영역을 동적 적응 객체의 가중치 방향성 그래프로 표현하며 사용자 행위를 이산 확률 함수를 동적으로 구축하는 접근 방식을 이용하여 모델링한다. 제안한 확률적 해석은 온톨로지 기반 환경에서 사용자의 탐색 행위를 추적하여 사용자 행위에 대한 잠재적 속성을 나타내는데 사용될 수 있다. 이러한 접근 방식은 사용자에게 가장 알맞은 프로파일을 동적으로 할당할 수 있다.

Assessment of Educational Conditions for 28 National Universities in South Korea

  • Purpose - In this paper, we categorize and segment the 28 national universities in South Korea and measure the degree of dissimilarity (or similarity) between pairs of ones by using dissimilarity distance matrix and cluster analysis, respectively, based on the seven quantitative evaluation of educational conditions (percentage of small-scale courses, percentage of lecture by the faculty, collection of books per student, material purchase per student, percentage of building capacity, percentage of real estate capacity and rate of accommodation) in 2015. In addition, multidimensional scaling (MDS) techniques can obtain visual representation for exploring patterns of proximities among 28 national universities based on seven attributes of educational conditions. Research design, data, and methodology - This work is carried out by the 2015 Announcement of University Information, which is provided by Ministry of Education in South Korea and utilized by multivariate analyses with CLUSTER, PROXIMITIES and ALSCAL modules in IBM SPSS 23.0. Results - We make certain that 28 national universities can be categorized into five clusters which have similar traits by applying two-stage cluster analysis. MDS is utilized to perform positioning of grouped places of cluster and 28 national universities joining every cluster. Conclusions - Both types and traits of each national university can be relatively assessed and practically utilized for each university competitiveness based on underlying results.

  • 연구목적: 본 논문은 백열전구를 이용하여 단락보호 전원공급 장치를 개발하고, 이를 학습 교구로 활용하는 연구에 관한 것이다. 전기 안전과 에너지 절약을 동시에 고려한 이 연구는 교육과 산업 분야에서 중요한 응용 가능성을 가지고 있다. 백열전구를 활용한 단락보호 전원공급 장치는 기존의 전원공급 장치와 비교하여 안전성과 효율성을 향상시키는데 도움이 되며, 학습 교구로 학습자들에게 전기 안전 교육을 제공함으로써 실생활에서의 전기 안전 지식을 습득하는데 기여한다. 연구방법: 백열전구를 사용하여 단락보호 전원공급 장치를 개발하고 개발된 장치의 성능 평가 및 안전성 확인을 통해 학습 교구로 활용할 수 있는 새로운 전원공급장치를 제작 한다. 결론:백열전구를 활용한 단락보호 전원공급 장치의 개발과 학습 교구로의 응용 가능성을 탐구한 연구이다. 이를 통해 전기 안전과 에너지 절약에 기여할 수 있는 혁신적인 솔루션을 제시하였으며, 교육 분야와 산업 분야에서의 응용 가능성을 열어놓았다. 이러한 연구는 전기 안전 및 에너지 관리 분야에서의 연구와 교육에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
