Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the needs for children's health promotion education programs as perceived by child care center teachers and mothers. Methods: This study conducted a survey of 88 child care center teachers and 70 mothers of preschool children in Seoul from January 4 to February 5, 2016. This study aimed to characterize the current conditions of health promotion education for preschool children and the needs for health promotion education as perceived by child care center teachers and mothers of preschool children. Results: Areas of high need for health promotion education included lifestyle improvements for preventing diseases in children and awareness of the importance of health in educational objectives, standardized educational manuals, health educators as educators, child care centers as educational places, local health centers as educational support organizations, regular class hours as educational time, role play for training, and actual models in the educational medium. The educational subjects for which a high need was reported included safety and accident prevention, the role of smartphones and TV watching in mental health, and personal hygiene and disease prevention. Conclusion: These findings suggest that it is necessary to develop a health promotion education program for preschool children.
Purpose: To examine pressure ulcer care from the standpoints of perceived importance, educational needs, knowledge and performance among clinical nurses. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with a convenient sample of 289 nurses from four hospitals. Questionnaire data collected from June to August 2008 was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: The mean scores of importance and educational needs concerning pressure ulcer care were high, performance was moderate, and knowledge was low. Knowledge level differed significantly according to career, performance differed significantly according to pressure ulcer care education and the main healer(the person primarily responsible for treatment). Perceived importance differed significantly according to the main healer, and educational needs differed significantly according to working area and the main healer. Significant correlations were evident between performance and importance, performance and educational needs, importance and knowledge, and importance and educational needs. Conclusion: Focus on perceived importance and educational needs to clinical nurses about pressure ulcer care may be beneficial to improve knowledge and practice of pressure ulcer care, and should be reflected in the development of effective programs to enhance relevant nursing skills.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to identify problems of current educational facility data management and recommend a standardized terminology classification system as a solution. In addition, the research aims to present a preemptive and integrated disaster and safety management framework for educational facilities by seeking efficient business processes through secured data quality, systematic data management, and external data linkage and analysis. Design/methodology/approach A terminology classification system has been established through various processes including filtering and analysis of related data including laws, manuals, educational facilities accidents, and historical records. Furthermore, the terminology classification system has been further reviewed through several consultations with experts and practitioners. In addition, the accumulated data was refined according to the established standard terminology and an Excel database was developed. Based on the data, accident patterns occurred in educational facilities over the past 10 years were analyzed. Findings In the study, a template was developed to collect consistent data for the standardized disaster and safety management terminology classification system in educational facilities. In addition, the standardized data utilization methods are presented from the viewpoint of 'education facility disaster safety data management', 'data analysis and insight', 'business management through data', and 'leaping into big data management'.
This study examined to obtain the basic data related to fashion information and to identify residents for educational program for the community residents. The data were analyzed by using $x^2-test$ by sex, age, education level, and income. Total 476 subjects were surveyed in Taejon. Findings of the this study provided some results to develop educational programs for community people. The major results were as follows. 1. There were significant differences in needs of community residents by age. Needs were divided into two categories, they grouped teen aged and twenties into thirties and forties. Thus, education contents necessarily involved fashion design, fashion coordination. The data suggested that educational program contents should be differed by age such as the image making by clothes, clothing construction, and checking of body shape. 2. It showed significant differences in residents by educational level. 3. There were not significant differences in residents by income. 4. About 70% of residents answered that educational program should be implicated clothing recycling and management of clothing and textiles.

This paper is to evaluate the campus master plan, which is influenced by Korean educational policy and managing organization, with respect to land use and block plans of buildings. It uses a case study method to periodically know specific details to form a master plan. It is found, at first, that design method of master plan was influenced by some educational policies and managing organization of ministry of education. Secondly, design methods have been changed according to the change of the times. Any master plan was not formulated until the 1960s. Seoul National University formed a master plan adopting radiated sector pattern for land use and a block plan in the early years of the 1970s. Chungnam National University used a squared space style with a trouble of the learned from the SNU design methods in the year 1974. A concept of axis according to topography] in Andong National University and environmental preservation in Yiosu National University was used in the 1980s. Korean Athletic Educational University used a transportation model for facilitating efficiency to use university land and making pedestrian convenient by classification with fast and slow walker's way.
Objectives: This study investigated the perception and educational needs of the health care professionals in wake of the fourth industrial revolution. Methods: This study was conducted among 115 students from the Department of Dental Hygiene and 122 dental hygienists from Gwangju and Jeonnam, from June 25 to September 20, 2020. The questionnaire consisted of one question on the perception of the concept of the fourth industrial revolution and two questions on the influence of the fourth industrial revolution. It contained a total of eight questions on the desired education hours and education expenditure. Results: The degree of perception of the concept and influence of the fourth industrial revolution was 3.20 for both dental hygiene students and dental hygienists; the average of the two groups was the same. Regarding the educational experience, 'no experience' was the most marked response among both dental hygiene students and dental hygienists and no statistically significant difference was observed (p>0.05). Conclusions: As demanded by the changing times, it is necessary to identify the differences in educational demands of the two groups, develop educational programs according to the fourth industrial revolution, as demanded by the changing times, and apply educational programs that fit the educational needs of each group.
The objective of this research is to provide more reliable and accurate unit factor of water amount by investigating of informations related to various educational institutions such as elementary, middle, high schools and university. In order to estimate the water demand of educational institutions, first of all, the informations such as building area, site area, total school population, and water amount of various educational institutions are investigated to estimate the water unit factor. In this research, we used the total population of students and teachers to estimate the water demand of educational institutions. The results of unit factors of this research are as follows: 1) The elementary school is $0.027983m^3/person{\cdot}day$, 2) middle school: $0.024106m^3/person{\cdot}day$, 3) high school: $0.041415m^3/person{\cdot}day$, 4) specialized high school (science high school and foreign language high school): $0.156938m^3/person{\cdot}day$ and 5) university: $0.033766m^3/person{\cdot}day$. Finally, these water amounts calculated by unit factors were compared with real water amount of educational institutions.
Objectives : This study was conducted to examine the educational status and needs of both parents and kindergarten teachers pertaining to the prevention of infectious diseaes in children. Methods : The participants were 280 parents and 147 kindergarten teachers. Data were collected from August 21, 2013 to December 30, 2014. Results : Only 16.7% of parents had educational experience with infectious diseases. The source of their education was broadcast media and their preferred educational method was the internet. Parents reported that the childhood infection about which they should be educated were influenza (30.4%) followed by hand-foot-and-mouth disease (13.9%), food poisoning (6.4%), and so on. About 27.2% of kindergarten teachers had received an education about infectious diseases, and the major source of their education was refresher training. The teachers' preferred educational method was the internet. The teachers wanted to be educated about influenza (22.4%), hand-foot-and-mouth disease (20.4%), food poisoning (20.4%) and so on. Conclusions : Educational programs should be developed and applied to children, parents and kindergarten teachers based on consideration of their educational needs.

Open education is a worldwide movement to overcome educational barriers based on digital technology. It is necessary to discuss how to carry out the educational function of the library in the increasingly widespread open education environment. This study examines the concept and components of open education, and proposes an approach to how the library performs educational functions in an open education environment. The results of this study will serve as a guide in setting the role and direction for the library to become the subject of the implementation and spread of open education from the perspective of the library's educational function.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the housewives' needs for educational program. In this study the needs lot housewives educational program are consisted on 3 areas ; 1. program contents, 2. program management and 3. program activization plan. For the survey and statistical analysis the questionares from 445 full-time housewives who participate in educational program at present are used. The results of this study are following; 1, in the area of program contents the needs for housing/health, nutrition, family life planning for elderly stage and enhancement of parents-children relationship are very high. This contents are very related with research topics of human ecology. So the researcher of our science are expected to be involved more in the related program development and actualization in the field. 2. in the area of program management the needs for the concret management process such as human resource management and education period are much higher than the educational provision. 3. in the area of program activization the systematization of the program incording with program level is most needed. 4. the housewive who are keeping the social characteristics such as social orientation, the motivation of social integration, the participation in the social-oriented educational program have higher needs for the most entire program contents, management and activization plan.
