교육서비스의 상업성 논쟁과 발전과제 (Some Discussions on the Commercialism of Educational Services)

  • All the factors related in education of Korea are very important in the aspect of economic development. The numbers of students being in school from kindergarten through university approximate a quoter of Korean people. Nevertheless paradigm of commercialism in education has been excluded completely in discussion by the reason of 'educational objective' of education fields in Korea. So Korea's educational services have been confronted with various problems which could hardly be solved, and have lost global competitiveness with the development of globalization. The purpose of this paper is to examine the commercialism of educational services by analysing various social phenomena and government policies relating to educational services in Korea, and to find some alternatives which are able to introduce commercialism on educational fields in Korea. Methodology of this paper depends on the theoretical analysis. Major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, notwithstanding that the relative importance of education is the same to that of economy in Korea, the providers of educational services in Korea are against their commercialism problems. Second, it is suggested that the stereotyped idea, that is, the commercialism in educational services be excluded, should be removed above all. Third, in order to improve the competitiveness of educational services in Korea, it is recommended that the commercialism be recognized in a part and various strategies such as the s-SCM, educational service marketing, etc. be introduced. Fourth, we have to prepare for globalization of educational services through making the educational industry to exporting services.

건축설비 관련 현황과 교육면에서의 개선방향 고찰 (A Study on Present Condition and Educational Improvement Plan of Building Services System)

  • The education of building services field at university is not enough, although the field has become to be very important in architectural engineering. This lack of education is one of the reason that the level of domestic building services field is lower than that in developed countries. Present conditions of related laws, fields of work after graduation and education at university in building services field have been studied, and education conditions have been investigated divided into four-year architectural engineering course and five-year architecture course. Though building services field has become more important at university education, the number of credits and professor of the field is still small than other fields of architectural engineering. More practical curriculums are necessary to meet the expectation of companies, and it will be one of the method to meet it that criteria of curriculum constitution is according to ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) in more architectural engineering department.

독자상담을 위한 사서교육에 관한 연구 (Education for Readers' Advisory in Library and Information Science Programs)

  • 이 연구에서는 북미 공공도서관의 독자상담에 주목하고, 독자상담과 관련한 사서직의 역할과 독자상담 사서의 양성실태를 고찰해보았다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 미도서관협회(ALA)가 승인한 문헌정보대학원(미국 50개 대학과 캐나다 7개 대학)을 대상으로 독자상담 및 관련 교과목을 조사하여 교수요목과 교수계획표를 수집하였다. 이를 통해 독자상담과 관련한 교과목의 운영현황과 교육내용을 분석하였다. 이에 대한 분석을 토대로 우리나라 문헌정보학에서 도서관의 독서서비스 및 사서교육과 관련하여 검토할 사항과 과제를 논의해보았다.

대학 시설물 유지관리 서비스 사용자 요청 패턴 분석 (Patterns in User Requests for Facility Management Services in Higher Education Facilities)

  • This paper aims to identify patterns in users' requests for facility management (FM) services in higher education facilities. We analyzed data collected from 309 service request forms, made available via a department office and an enterprise resource planning system, at a private university in Seoul between May 2009 and February 2015. We found that the number of user requests were the highest in September and October. Requests for electronic and communication (E/C) services outnumbered those for architectural services and mechanical and plumbing (M/P) services. Repair requests for doors and windows were the most common under architectural services; repairs for air-conditioners and radiators were the most commonly under M/P services; and installation of electrical outlets, telephone wires, and internet services were the most sought-after E/C services. Maintenance requests were received every three months, while repair requests were received every six or seven months.

새로운 ICT 기반 서비스에 대한 연구 : N-디바이스 스마트교육 서비스를 중심으로 (A Study on the novel ICT baced Services : Focused on N-Device Smart Education Services)

  • A novel concept of ICT based service, which is called N-device service, is proposed and implemented in the form of N-device smart education services. The N-device services are different from the existing N-screen services in terms of the number of devices a user is using for a specific service at the same time. A N-device service consists of several smart devices which are different in size, software and hardware platform, mobility, manufacturer and the like by fully utilizing the characteristic of each device. The major and unique features of N-device services are analyzed and depicted in a strict way. Those are shared role for each device, service by configurable device, one sensor multiple use, real-time data sharing, role shifting and new market creation. It is turned out that the N-device service is more human centric compared with existing ICT based services and can give richer digital experience to users because non-existent services become possible with the new concept. However, there exist several barriers to be implemented and commercialized in the real world. Those include high development cost and time, small market and different application platforms of devices. These barriers can be overcome by technical advances and cooperation between relevant parties. The smart education is very prominent area, in which the novel concept can be applied with high priority because Korean government announced its plan to boost up new educational services with big budget and these are acceptable by enthusiastic Korean parents and students. That's why the N-device service is implemented in the education area, which is called as "livessam(live teacher)," with four smart devices, IPTV, tablet PC, PC and smart phone. By providing both detailed service scenario and techniques, we shows that the novel education service is technically feasible and acceptable by teachers and students.

  • This study aims to investigate and analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the adopt electronic services in education sector in Jordan, where the COVID-19 pandemic has left huge threats in terms of health and led to a significant decrease in economic output and a rise in unemployment. This study also aims to know the steps taken by the Jordanian governments and higher education ministry and universities to overcome this crisis and mitigate the economic and financial impacts that would enhance the resilience of the education sector. To achieve the goal of the study, both methods of deductive and inductive analysis were used, which helped us to systematically consider the economic and other consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as statistical analyses and other tools that helped us in this study. The results of this study, showed that the COVID-19 pandemic led to a significant increase in adopt electronic services in education sector in Jordan, and decline in economic growth, a significant rise in unemployment, an increase in market instability, and a decrease in the financial position of companies. The recommendations concluded that Jordan should begin to change its policies according to the new data, and take Measures to advance the education sector by relay on electronic services and directing investment in education sector through saving policies and infrastructure equipment in parallel with the population boom in Jordan.

한방의료 이용에 대한 문헌적 고찰 (A literature study about utilization of oriental medical services)

  • Objectives : This study aimed to analyze and summarize the utilization of oriental medical services in korea. Methods : From 3 Korean databases (National Assembly Library, Korea Education Research Information Sharing Service, and National Discovery for Science Leaders), published between 2001 and 2011, we were obtained 17 studies that involved the utilization of oriental medical services. Results : We found that women, elderly patients, and patients with low education levels and those with musculoskeletal and cerebrovascular diseases preferred to use oriental medical services. Other variables such as trust and kindness of staff and positive perceptions of the treatment effect were found to be significant determinants for utilizing oriental medical services. Conclusions : The utilization of oriental medical services would be related with gender, age, education levels and diseases. Also to confirm the reasons for patients to choose oriental medical services, further studies should be conducted using the highest methodological standards.

성건장 이동클리닉 사업에 대한 청소년의 보건교육 및 상담 만족도 (Health Education and Counseling for Adolescents at Mobile Sexual Health Clinics)

  • Objectives: This study was performed in order to evaluate the quality of health services provided to the adolescents at mobile health clinics and to improve the services for them, and to figure out knowledge level of adolescents on sex, birth control methods and artificial abortion, and the effect of the knowledge levels those items on sexual behavior. The data obtained will be utilized for sex health education program in the future. Methodology: A total of 2,021 adolescents who visited mobile sexual health clinics in Seoul, Inchon, Busan, Daejon, Cheonbuk, Kwangju and Daegu were surveyed in November 2007. The items surveyed were level of satisfaction about the services provided by mobile sexual health clinics, personal opinions and experience of artificial abortion, knowledge level about birth control, sexual experience and pregnancy. The above mentioned items were analyzed by general characteristics such as religion and geographical area. Results: The study subjects were generally satisfied with the services of mobile sexual health clinics. But they were not satisfied with the information about birth control methods provided by the clinics. The subjects who had better knowledge about sex were more satisfied with the services provided by the clinics. And the subjects who had knowledge about birth control methods but did not have birth control experience were also more satisfied with the services of clinics. The subjects who reported that artificial abortion should be allowed were also more satisfied with the services of the clinics. Experiences of sex, pregnancy, and artificial abortion were not correlated to satisfaction of the clinic services. Conclusions: The mobile sexual health clinics have to continues to provide sex health education and other sex related health services to adolescents. More practical information about birth control methods should be provided to the adolescents by the clinics based on the study results. Active preventive measures for unwanted pregnancy should be provided to the adolescents by the clinics.

IT서비스품질과 경영교육의 성과 (IT Service Quality, Business Education Service Quality and Its Outcomes)

  • Since the competition of higher education is more and more critical, the improvement of educational services is importantly considered. Despite the current situations, there are few studies addressing the relationships between education service quality and its outcomes. As educational service quality plays a key role in improving student satisfaction, universities provides a high level of educational services for students and reinforce their competitiveness through student satisfaction. This research investigates the relationships among IT service quality, business education service quality, trust, student satisfaction and student loyalty. In so doing, the current study establishes a theoretical model to test the proposed relationships. The results further suggest that the indirect effect of the IT service quality and the business education service quality enhances its impact of student satisfaction, trust, student loyalty. Finally, the authors draw conclusions and further research directions.

세월호 사고 후 고등학생의 재난안전교육 및 안전의식에 대한 연구 (Disaster safety education and safety awareness of high school students after the Sewol ferry incident)

  • Purpose: To investigate disaster safety education and the safety awareness of Korean high school students following the Sewol ferry incident. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 1022 high school students in Korea from September 7 to 26, 2015. The questionnaire comprised questions pertaining to the general characteristics of the subjects, disaster safety education, and safety awareness, which were measured on a four-point Likert. Results: The majority of the students recognized the necessity of disaster safety education ($3.12{\pm}0.61$); however, most did not know where safety devices were located. After the Sewol ferry incident, awareness of disaster safety education was $2.11{\pm}0.64$, and the necessity of education was relatively low. More than half the students (53.5%) responded that disaster safety education must be conducted in professional education facilities. Conclusion: It is important to develop and implement regular disaster safety education for high school students in professional education facilities.
