Multiple regression analysis was used for the calculation of pKa values of 15 substituted benzaldoximes by using various types of descriptors as parameters. These descriptors are based on quantum mechanical treatments. They were derived by employing semi-empirical calculation represented by the PM3 model and an Abinitio method expressed by Hartree-Fock(HF) model performed at the 6-311 G(d, p) level of theory. The parameters tested for their ability to represent the variations observed in the experimental pKa(s) are atomic and structural properties including Muliken charges on the atoms of hydroxyl group and C=N bond, the angle $C_6-C_1-C_7$, and length of O-H bond. Molecular properties are also used like energies of HOMO and LUMO, hardness(${\eta}$), chemical potential(${\mu}$), total energy(TE), dipole of molecule(DM), and electrophilicity index(W). The relation between pKa values and each of these parameters of the studied compounds is investigated. Depending on these relations, two sets of parameters were constructed for comparison between the PM3 and HF methods. The results obtained favor the Abinitio method for such applications although both models proved to have high predictive power and have sufficient reliability to describe the effect of substituents on pKa values of benzaldoxime compounds under consideration which is clear from the values of correlation coefficient $R^2$ obtained and the consistency between the experimental and the calculated values.
Background: Tobacco control and cessation interventions are among the most cost effective medical interventions but health systems in low resource countries lack the infrastructure to promote prevention and cessation among tobacco users. Workplace settings have the potential to provide opportunities and access for tobacco prevention interventions. Methods: This is a single group study evaluating tobacco use prevention and cessation through a structured three stage intervention program for tobacco users comprising education on harmful effects of tobacco, oral cancer screening and behavior therapy for tobacco cessation at the worksite. Results: All the 739 workers who were invited participated in tobacco awareness program and were screened for oral pre cancer lesions. 291 (39.4%) workers were found to be users of tobacco in some form. Education, gender and alcohol use (p<0.0001) were some of the factors associated with tobacco user status. The prevalence of clinical oral precancer lesions among tobacco users was 21.6%. Alcohol consumption (p<0.001), the type of tobacco consumed (p<0.018), personal medical history of chronic diseases (p<0.007) and combined use of alcohol and tobacco (p<0.001) were some factors found to be associated with presence of oral pre cancer lesions. Conclusion: An integrated approach for worksite based tobacco use prevention with oral cancer screening program showed good acceptance and participation and was effective in addressing the problem of tobacco consumption among the factory workers.

Although we have faced substantial public interests on the issues of small-business, the lack of effective solutions corresponding to them should be worried. This paper introduces findings from the application of Triple Helix to counseling activities for small-business stores with diagnosing problems and suggesting alternatives. The findings of this paper are based on counseling projects conducted by Gyunggi Small-medium Business Corporation, universities in the region, and multiple small-business stores together from June to November in 2015. The application of Triple Helix was positive for increasing the effectiveness of counseling, and this key finding was obtained from action research cycles. It was also confirmed that cooperation from three different entities including company, university and government institute was beneficial in increasing problem identification capabilities by students and providing opportunities for testing knowledge and skills, which means Triple Helix application to small-business helps management education to be more practical. Contributions of this study supplies substantial insights to academic audience, and practitioners can learn positive effects of Triple Helix and potential issues for implementation in the context of small-business counseling.

Tenebrio molitor larvae, also known as yellow mealworms (MW), are rich in protein and lipid and can serve as a potential alternative protein and energy source in commercial aquafeeds. Therefore, this study attempts to evaluate the effects of different drying methods on the nutritional value of MW meal. For this, live MW were cold-anaesthetized before being subjected to three different types of drying methods, including freeze-drying, oven-drying at $60^{\circ}C$ and air-drying at room temperature for three days, and compared for proximate composition and energy content. An in-vivo digestibility test was then conducted to evaluate the nutrient digestibility of MW meal in diets for rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli. A test diet was prepared by mixing the MW meal with a reference diet (Ref) in a 30:70 ratio with chromium oxide as an inert marker at the inclusion level of 0.5%. Rockfish with mean body weight of 150 g were stocked into a fecal collection system equipped with fiberglass tanks of 400 L capacity. Each group of fish was fed one of the experimental diets to apparent satiation for 4 weeks. The results of the proximate analysis showed that drying methods had no significant effect on crude protein, crude lipid, ash and energy contents of MW. Despite being a rich source of protein and lipid, MW meal was deficient in certain amino acids, particularly methionine, and highly unsaturated fatty acids, particularly 22:6n-3 (DHA) and 20:5n-3 (EPA). MW meal showed high digestibility values for protein (93%), lipid (97%) and energy (88%). These results may indicate that MW meal is a nutritious and acceptable feed ingredient, with comparable digestibility values to conventional animal and plant feedstuffs such as fish meal and soybean meal, in practical diet for rockfish at grower stage.

Aquaculture practices to ensure greater production, such as high density breeding and excessive feeding, are become stressors that raise the prevalence of diseases. Accordingly, increasingly large volumes of antibiotics are used more frequently each year. Long term use antibiotics can generate resistant bacteria, which interrupt treatments and cause a potential transfer to human bodies. Thus, antibiotic resistance is of importance in public health. Tetracycline (Tc) is one of the typical medicines used in the aquaculture drugs, which has a wide range of application including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. In the examination of 153 strains isolated from olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) farms located in Jeju in 2016, it turned out that a total of 84 strains were resistant to Tc or oxytetracycline (OTC). The extent to which the strains are resistant to Tc and OTC was confirmed through MIC test, mostly within the range of 25 to $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. Twelve different types of tet genes were detected using single and multiplex PCR in the 84 Tc-resistant strains. The PCR was used to find tet(K), tet(M), tet(O), and tet(S), which are known to exist primarily in gram positive strains. According to the results, - tet(S) is the most dominant gene in 49 strains of Streptococcus parauberis, accounting for 63.2%. And there were two strains that have two different types of resistant genes. The multiplex PCR was used to detect tet(A), tet(B), tet(C), tet(D), tet(E), and tet(G), which are commonly found in gram-negative strains. Each of tet(B), tet(D), and tet(B)&(M) was found in a strain presumed to be Vibrio sp., and only tet(D) was found in 10 Edwardsiella tarda strains.

This article analyzes motivations behind social sciences blog posts citing journal articles in order to find out whether blog citations are good indicators for the societal impact or benefits of research. A random sample of 300 social sciences blog posts (out of 1,233 blog posts) from ResearchBlogging.org published between 01/01/2012 to 18/06/2014 were subjected to content analysis. The 300 blog posts had 472 references including 424 journal articles from 269 different journals. Sixty-one (22.68%) of all cited journals were from the social sciences and most of the journals with high frequency were highly cited general science journals such as PNAS and Science. Seventy-five percent of all journals were referenced only once. The average age of articles cited at the time of citation was 5.8 years. Discussion and criticism were the two main categories of motivations. Overall, the study shows the potential of blog citations as an altmetric measure and as a proxy for assessing the research impact. A considerable number of citation motivations in blogs such as disputing a belief, suggesting policies, providing a solution to a problem, reacting to media, criticism and the like seemed to support gaining societal benefits. Societal benefits are considered as helping stimulate new approaches to social issues, or informing public debate and policymaking. Lower self-citation (compared to some other altmetric measures such as tweets) and the fact that blogging involves generating content (i.e. an intellectual process) give them an advantage for altmetrics. However, limitations and contextual issues such as disciplinary differences and low uptake of altmetrics, in general, in scholarly communication should not be ignored when using blogs as a data source for altmetrics.
A new approach to fabricate an enzyme electrode was described based on the immobilization of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) on dithiobis-N-succinimidyl propionate (DTSP) self-assembled monolayer (SAM) formed on gold-nanoparticles (Au-NPs) which were electrochemically deposited onto glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface. The overall surface area and average size of Au-NPs could be controlled by varying deposition time and were examined by Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM). The $O_2$ reduction capability of the surface demonstrated that Au-NPs were thermodynamically stable enough to stay on GCE surface. The immobilized HRP electrode based on Au-NPs/GCE presented faster, more stable and sensitive amperometric response in the reduction of hydrogen peroxide than a HRP immobilized on DTSP/gold plate electrode not containing Au-NPs. The effects of operating potential, mediator concentration, and pH of buffer electrolyte solution on the performance of the HRP biosensor were investigated. In the optimized experimental conditions, the HRP immobilized GCE incorporating smaller-sized Au-NPs showed higher electrocatalytic activity due to the high surface area to volume ratio of Au-NPs in the biosensor. The HRP electrode showed a linear response to $H_2O_2$ in the concentration range of 1.4 $\mu$M-3.1 mM. The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant ($K _M\; ^{app}$) determined for the immobilized HRP electrodes showed a trend to be decreased by decreasing size of Au-NPs electrodeposited onto GCE.
To examine the wind energy potential of North Korea, climatological wind map was constructed using the 30-year hourly observations of wind speed and direction at 27 meteorological stations. This examination was based on the Weibull model, which represents the probability density distribution of wind speed. It was found that overall, high terrain(Geama Gowon) in the central-northern part and south-west coast (Hwanghae-do) of North Korea have the annual average wind speed which exceeds 4 m/s at 50 m altitude above ground. The wind speed >5 m/s is more persistent in spring, but less in summer. Amongst the meteorological stations, Changjin and Yangdok show the most persistent wind speed in time and strength.

The increasing area of abandoned rice fields could provide new opportunities for wetland restoration in Asia. However, it is unknown how quickly or completely abandoned rice fields will recover from agricultural disturbances. We assessed water quality and plant community succession in abandoned rice fields with different hydrology in a mountain valley to understand the effects of hydrological regime on recovery. Water level, soil redox potential, water quality, plant composition, and primary production were measured. The sites, coded as D6, N13, and N16, had been recovering for 6, 13, and 16 years by 2006. N13 and N16 have been recovering naturally whereas D6 has been drained with a nearby dike and was tilled in 2001. The typical hydroperiods of D6, N13, and N16 were no surface water, permanently flooded, and seasonally flooded, respectively. The major change in vegetation structure of both D6 and N13 was the replacement of herbaceous species by woody species. Drawdown accelerated this change because Salix koreensis grew better in damp conditions than in flooded conditions. Phragmites japonica reduced plot-level plant species richness. The removal efficiency of $NH_4-N$, $NO_3-N$, and $PO_4-P$ from water varied seasonally, ranging between -78.8 to 44.3%, 0 to 97.5%, and -26.0 to 44.4%, respectively. In summary, abandoned rice fields quickly became suitable habitat for native wetland plant species and improved regional water quality. Variation among our sites indicates that it is likely possible to manage abandoned rice fields, mostly through controlling hydrology, to achieve site-specific restoration goals.

Controversy has surrounded the potential impacts of phytoplankton on the tropical climate, since climate models produce diverse behaviors in terms of the equatorial mean state and El $Ni{\tilde{n}}o$-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) amplitude. We explored biophysical impacts on the tropical ocean temperature using an ocean general circulation model coupled to a biogeochemistry model in which chlorophyll can modify solar attenuation and in turn feed back to ocean physics. Compared with a control model run excluding biophysical processes, our model with biogeochemistry showed that subsurface chlorophyll concentrations led to an increase in sea surface temperature (particularly in the western Pacific) via horizontal accumulation of heat contents. In the central Pacific, however, a mild cold anomaly appeared, accompanying the strengthened westward currents. The magnitude and skewness of ENSO were also modulated by biophysical feedbacks resulting from the chlorophyll affecting El $Ni{\tilde{n}}o$ and La $Ni{\tilde{n}}a$ in an asymmetric way. That is, El $Ni{\tilde{n}}o$ conditions were intensified by the higher contribution of the second baroclinic mode to sea surface temperature anomalies, whereas La $Ni{\tilde{n}}a$ conditions were slightly weakened by the absorption of shortwave radiation by phytoplankton. In our model experiments, the intensification of El $Ni{\tilde{n}}o$ was more dominant than the dampening of La $Ni{\tilde{n}}a$, resulting in the amplification of ENSO and higher skewness.
