Life skill-focused health education curriculum should be developed for the effective health education. Teacher training and education also should be the essential component of school health education program. For the improvement of efficiency in school health education practices, cooperation with family and community support system would be necessary.

For this study, 101 among 172 attendance are responded to questionnaire of three categories consisting of development and application teaching material for STEAM instruction, and spreading STEAM education. The major findings are as follows: First, when primary teachers develop materials for STEAM education, they consider applicabilities in real classes. Second, they feel the burden of time when they develop STEAM material. Third, they think that their own program has significant educational effectiveness and that students enjoyed the program. Especially, they think that STEAM education program can raise students' interest about learning. Fourth, primary teachers point out the constraints for application of STEAM education program, which are lack of expertise and difficulty acquiring class time. Fifth, primary teachers evaluate the effect of STEAM education program on primary education is positive, and they answer that we need many teaching materials for STEAM education, operating as a regular curriculum, and securing budget. In order to spread STEAM education in field of primary education successfully, administrators have to consider and reflect the voice of teachers.
The main purpose of this study is to search a new perspective of environmental education through investigating of alternative education. Environmental education is introduced by needs of society for an effective way of solving environmental problems. But it also has a meaningfulness which is internal need of education for proposing and fostering ecological human corresponds with crisis of modernism. In spite of excessive rhetoric, vision of formal environmental education is very negative. Formal environmental education is restricted to optional course. So, its potential isn't fulfil. Education is both part of the problem and the solution. Education is proclaimed at high level as the key to a more sustainable society and yet it daily plays a part in reproducing an unsustainable society. If environmental education is to fulfil its potential as an agent of environmental problem solution, it becomes both part of the ideal and the practice of education. In this point, alternative education is a model of what environmental education ought to be. Environmental education and alternative education have a common ground in end of education and critical position to the modern education system.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the U.S. has been identified as a significant national reform in K-16 education and curriculum in order to prepare students for the global economy of the 21st century. Korea has been facing very similar challenges to improve science, technology and mathematics education, in particular, the affective aspect of learning science and mathematics. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education has become a crucial issue in Korean education system. The major purpose of this exploratory study is to inform the exemplary framework of STEAM education in the U.S. for Korea and to provide descriptive and analytical accounts on STEAM teaching and learning as an innovative integrated convergence education. This study integrates the outcomes of research papers on STEM education and recent literature. It employs content analysis methodology qualitatively by analyzing and synthesizing the findings, conclusions, discussions, and recommendations of accumulated research works related to STEM/STEAM education. This study will help gain a stronger sense of the STEAM framework and will guide to develop the educational programs for Korea.
This study aimed to investigate current nutrition education and effective plans for nutrition teachers in schools. Data were collected by a face-to-face questionnaire. Surveyed schools were elementary, middle, and high schools at percentages of 32.4%, 35.1%, and 32.4%, respectively. Percentage of nutrition education was above 90%, whereas off-line education was very uncommon in middle (8.3%) and high schools (27.3%) compared with elementary schools (63.6%), (p<0.05). Satisfaction of nutrition education was also very low in middle (7.7%) and high schools (8.3%) when compared with elementary schools (41.7%), (p<0.05). The main reason for this was due to 'work overload of mealing service (44.4%)' and 'insufficient time of students (25.9%)'. Effective education plans were as follows: beginning of education and education scale were 'elementary school (67.6%)' and 'below 20 people (81.1%)', and the most preferred counterplan was 'development of diverse education programs (4.81 score)' > 'systematic education process (4.76 score)' > 'professional nutrition education (4.51 score)'. Most important duty was 'nutrition education and consultation (51.4%)', although it achieved the lowest satisfaction at a score of 2.46. Overall analysis, demand and awareness of nutrition teachers for nutrition education were very high. Therefore, an institutional strategy and environmental improvements are required by setting up curriculum subjects and developing diverse education programs for systematic nutrition education.

In order to accomplish this, references for character education were collected and analyzed to derive the directions for character education in science education, and then the results were verified by expert workshops composed of 2 science education experts and 4 PhD students. Through the consideration of references for Nature-Study in terms of character education, we supposed to confirm that Nature-Study is an efficient way to implement character education in science education. The research resulted in the following: First, science education should establish it's own role in character education by expanding the domains of value and realizing practice-centered character education. Accordingly, 'Expanded model of character education (The domains of the value)' was developed on the basis of 'formation of relationships' with 'nature & environment, spiritual object' and 'The practice-centered character manifested mechanism' empathized 'formation of relationships' and 'practice' was also diagramed. Second, Nature-Study empathized 'Science Education through Nature' can be one of the efficient ways to implement character education in science education. Nature-Study corresponds with the directions of character education in science education because Nature-Study aims for character education in it's educational purpose and emphasizes 'formation of relationships' with 'nature & environment' and 'practice' in the real world. In conclusion, science education should establish it's own role in character education by expanding the domains of value and realizing the practice-centered character education and Nature-Study is efficient ways to implement character education in science education.
