Problem of compatibility, contents protection, contents circulation etc. was caused between contents offerer and consumers by indiscreet rights technical development about digital contents. Therefore, MPEG-21 framework proposed the REL(Right Expression Language) based on XML(extensible Markup Language) by rights expression language for rights management. We designed and implemented of the REL document editing system that rights creation and edit are available efficiently about contents easily without comprehension of MPEG-21 framework and client system that present consumption method of REL document.

This study aims to develop sound ecosystem of scanned cartoons and books through the effective identification technology developed as a part of the project granted from the Korea Copyright Commission (Project title: Identification and Copy Protection Technology of Scanned Text/Comic Books). This study shows a model integrating the scanned book identification system with the existing system that identifies scanned cartoons. The model suggested in this study is expected to give a help in reducing the author's damages due to the indiscriminate illegal reproduction, which tends to expand with high quality scanners and editing softwares.

The education of 21st century is developed to the closely connected and integrated education, and the ICT applied education is suggested as an approach to teaching-learning method. In this paper, we suggest an teaching-learning pattern and strategy of Technology course as an example of the ICT applied education, and provide an implementation for the efficient XML document creation and storage system of teacher's subject data. And we have confirmed the utilization of this system which it improves the efficient management and preservation of educational data and also it raises the value of educational data by decreasing the burden of re-editing the educational documents for similar business.

In this paper, we propose a time relation model among media with the concept of time and space under hypermedia environments. The model explains time relations of node proceedings among media by time and proceedings among media connected with link. Using this model, hypermedia system which constructs dynamic nodes with time proceeding is designed and implemented. And this hypermedia system provides editing tool and controllers to edit dynamic node information, link tool to construct associative relations among nodes and navigaton tool to do node movement freely, various time controls and node proceedings.

This paper presents an internet-based self-learning educational system which can be enhancing efficiency in the learning process of Java language. The proposed self-learning educational system is called Java Web Player(JWP), which is a Java application program and is executable through Java Web Start technologies. In this paper, three important sequential learning processes : concept learning process, programming practice process and assessment process are integrated in the proposed JWP using Java Web Start technologies. This JWP enables the learners to achieve efficient and interesting self-learning since the learning process is designed to enhance the multimedia capabilities on the basis of educational technologies. Also, online voice presentation and its related texts together with moving images are synchronized for efficient language learning process. Furthermore, a simple/useful compiler is included in the JWP for providing language practice environment such as coding, editing, executing and debugging Java source files. Finally repeated practice can make the learners to understand easily the key concepts of Java language. Simple multiple choices are given suddenly to the learners while they are studying through the JWP and the test results are displayed on the message box.

In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia processing subsystem and the metadata management subsystem. It provides the API to UCC service developers. The multimedia processing subsystem supports the media management and editing of image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video. The reply management and script processing of UCC are given in the subsystem.

This thesis attempts to investigate and analyze the structure of educational simulation devices implemented thus far. conducting a close analysis of their strengths and weaknesses. On this basis the author Presents and implements a new method of simulation, and continuously upgrades it for increased stability and convenience. The most important aspects of the educational simulation device described in this thesis are: first removing the editing function (scenarios. single line diagrams, and point DB), which the instructor finds time-consuming and inconvenient to use; second, developing and installing the program so as to calculate electric power flow that can measure fluctuations measurements after changing the system status; and third. implementing a Client/server mode to build a system that will make it possible to train many people at a time in remote locations. When compared to simulation devices of the Psst. the greatest differences are that algorithm-based scenarios make scenario inputs unnecessary. and that the amount of work required for the point DB and single line diagrams were minimized.

With the development of video-related applications, media content has increased dramatically through applications. There is a substantial amount of near-duplicate videos (NDVs) among Internet videos, thus NDVR is important for eliminating near-duplicates from web video searches. This paper proposes a novel NDVR system that supports large-scale retrieval and contributes to the efficient and accurate retrieval performance. For this, we extracted keyframes from each video at regular intervals and then extracted both commonly used features (LBP and HSV) and new image features from each keyframe. A recent study introduced a new image feature that can provide more robust information than existing features even if there are geometric changes to and complex editing of images. We convert a vector set that consists of the extracted features to binary code through a set of hash functions so that the similarity comparison can be more efficient as similar videos are more likely to map into the same buckets. Lastly, we calculate similarity to search for NDVs; we examine the effectiveness of the NDVR system and compare this against previous NDVR systems using the public video collections CC_WEB_VIDEO. The proposed NDVR system's performance is very promising compared to previous NDVR systems.

지금까지 음악 정보를 표현하기 위하여 SMDL, NIFF, MIDI를 비롯한 많은 방법들이 제시되었다. 그러나 기존의 방법들은 독자적인 표현 방식을 사용하므로 서로 호환되지 않으며, 구현 방법과 과정이 매우 복잡한 문제점을 갖고 있다. 그리고 해당 어플리케이션의 가격이 매우 고가이므로 일반인들이 쉽게 접할 수 없었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 음악정보, 특히 리듬정보를 웹 표준 언어인 XML을 이용하여 표현하고 이를 웹에서 편집 및 재생하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제시하고 시스템을 구현한다. 그 결과 XML에 근거한 우리의 시스템은 일반인들이 쉽게 접할 수 있는 웹에서의 음악정보의 편집 및 출력, 그리고 사운드로의 재생 기능을 제공하는 동시에 완벽한 음악 정보의 호환을 이룰 수 있다.
