To improve the effect of image restoration and solve the image detail loss, an image dehazing enhancement algorithm based on mean guided filtering is proposed. The superpixel calculation method is used to pre-segment the original foggy image to obtain different sub-regions. The Ncut algorithm is used to segment the original image, and it outputs the segmented image until there is no more region merging in the image. By means of the mean-guided filtering method, the minimum value is selected as the value of the current pixel point in the local small block of the dark image, and the dark primary color image is obtained, and its transmittance is calculated to obtain the image edge detection result. According to the prior law of dark channel, a classic image dehazing enhancement model is established, and the model is combined with a median filter with low computational complexity to denoise the image in real time and maintain the jump of the mutation area to achieve image dehazing enhancement. The experimental results show that the image dehazing and enhancement effect of the proposed algorithm has obvious advantages, can retain a large amount of image detail information, and the values of information entropy, peak signal-to-noise ratio, and structural similarity are high. The research innovatively combines a variety of methods to achieve image dehazing and improve the quality effect. Through segmentation, filtering, denoising and other operations, the image quality is effectively improved, which provides an important reference for the improvement of image processing technology.
The turbulent flow in reactor pressure vessel (RPV) of pressurized water reactor (PWR) is important for the flow rate distribution at core inlet. Thus, it is vital to study the turbulent flow phenomena in RPV. However, the complicated fluid channel consisted of inner structures of RPV will block or refract the laser sheet of particle image velocimetry (PIV). In this work, the matched index of refraction (MIR) of sodium iodide (NaI) solution and acrylic was applied to support optical path for flow field measurements by PIV in the 1/10th scaled-down RPV model. The experimental results show detailed velocity field at different locations inside the scaled-down RPV model. Some interesting phenomena are obtained, including the non-negligible counterflow at the corner of nozzle edge, the high downward flowing stream in downcomer, large vortices above vortex suppression plate in lower plenum. And the intensity of counterflow and the strength of vortices increase as inlet flow rate increasing. Finally, the case of asymmetry flow was also studied. The turbulent flow has different pattern compared with the case of symmetrical inlet flow rate, which may affect the uniformity of flow distribution at the core inlet.

I. Purpose The multileaf collimator(MLC) has many advantages, but use of the MLC increased effective penumbra and isodose undulation in dose distribution compared with that of an alloy block. In this work, we introduced the HD-270 MLC, which can improve the above disadvantages of MLC, and reported its feasibility study. II. Method and Materials The HD-270 MLC is a technique which combines the use of the existing Siemens multileaf collimator(3D MLC) with patient translation perpendicular to the leaf plane. The technique produces a smoothed isodose distribution with the reduced isodose undulation and effective penumbra. To assess the efficacy of the HD-270 technique and determine the appropriate resolution, a polygonal shaped MLC field was made to produce field edge angles from 0 degree to 75 degree with a step of 15 degree. Each HD-270 group was generated according to the allowed resolution, i. e., 5, 3, and 2mm. The experiment was carried out on Primus, a Siemens linear accelerator configured with HD-270 MLC. The total 60 MU of 6 MV photon beam was delivered to X-Omat film(Kodak, USA) at a SAD of 100 cm and 1.5 cm depth in solid water phantom. Exposed films were scanned by Lumiscan75(LUMISYS) and analyzed using RIT113 software(Radiological Imaging Technology Inc., USA). To test the mechanical accuracy of table movement, the transverse, longitudinal, and vertical positions were controlled by a consol with ${\pm}5\;mm,\;{\pm}4\;mm,\;{\pm}3\;mm,\;and\;{\pm}2\;mm$ steps, and then measured using a dial gauge with an accuracy of 0.001 inch. During the experiments, the table loaded with about 50Kg human phantom to simulate the real treatment situation. III. Results The effective penumbra and isodose undulation became larger with increase the resolution and field edge angle. The accuracy of the table movement on each direction is good within the ${\pm}1\;mm$. IV. Conclusion Clinical use of the MLC can be increased by using of the HD-270 MLC which complements to the disadvantages of the MLC.
Recently, in the field of rail freight transportation, the number of trains dedicated for shippers has been increasing. These dedicated trains, which run on the basis of a contract with shippers, had been restricted to the transportation of containers, or so called block trains. Nowadays, such commodities have extended to cement, hard coal, etc. Most full freight cars are transported by dedicated trains. But, for empty car distribution, the efficiency still remains questionable because the distribution plan is manually developed by dispatchers. In this study, we investigated distribution models delineated in the KTOCS system which was developed by KORAIL as well as mathematical models considered in the state-of-the-art. The models are based on optimization models, especially the network flow model. Here we suggest a new optimization model with a framework of the column generation approach. The master problem can be formulated into a transportation problem with additional constraints. The master problem is improved by adding a new edge between the supply node and the demand node; this edge can be found using a simple shorted path in the time-space network. Finally, we applied our algorithm to the Korean freight train network and were able to find the total number of empty car kilometers decreased.
An image coding based on MRC model, a kind of multi-layer image model, first segments a screen image into foreground, mask, and background layers, and then compresses each layer using a codec that is suitable to the layer. The mask layer defines the position of foreground regions such as textual and graphical contents. The colour signal of the foreground (background) region is saved in the foreground (background) layer. The mask layer which contains the segmentation result of foreground and background regions is of importance since its accuracy directly affects the overall coding performance of the codec. This paper proposes a new layer segmentation algorithm for the MRC based image coding. The proposed method extracts text pixels from the background using morphological top hat filtering. The application of white or black top hat transformation to local blocks is controlled by the information of relative brightness of text compared to the background. In the proposed method, the boundary information of text that is extracted from the edge map of the block is used for the robust decision on the relative brightness of text. Simulation results show that the proposed method is superior to the conventional methods.

In this paper, a new low power 16-bit ALU has been designed, fabricated and tested at the transistor level. The designed ALU performs 16 instructions and has a two-stage pipelined architecture. For the reduction of switched capacitance, the ELM adder of the proposed ALU is inactive while the logical operation is performed and P(propagation) block has a dual bus architecture. A new efficient P and G(generation) blocks are also proposed for the above ALU architecture. ELM adder, double-edge triggered register and the combination of logic style are used for low power consumption as well. As a result of simulations, the proposed architecture shows better power efficient than conventional architecture$^{[1,2]}$ as the number of logic operation to be performed is increased over that of arithmetic to logic operation to be performed is 7 to 3, compared to conventional architecture. The proposed ALU was fabricated with 0.6${\mu}m$ single-poly triple-metal CMOS process. As a result of chip test, the maximum operating frequency is 53MHz and power consumption is 33mW at 50MHz, 3.3V.

Recently, LTE is preparing to make a new leap forward LTE-A all over the world. As LTE privides high speed service, the role of mobile phones seems to change from voice to data service. According to Cisco, global mobile data traffic will increase nearly 11-fold between 2013 and 2018. Mobile video traffic will reach 75% by 2018 from 66% in 2013 in Korea. However, voice service is still the most important role of mobile phones. Thus, controllability of throughput and low BLER is indispensable for high-quality VoIP service among various type of traffic. Although the maximum AMR-WB, 23.85 Kbps is sufficient to a VoIP call, it is difficult for the LTE which can provide tens to hundreds of MB/s may not keep the certain level VoIP QoS especially in the cell-edge area. This paper proposes a new scheduling algorithm in order to improve VoIP performance after analyzing various scheduling algorithms. The proposal is the technology which applies more priority processing for VoIP than other applications in cell-edge area based on two-tier scheduling algorithm. The simulation result shows the improvement of VoIP performance in the view point of throughput and BLER.
The purpose of this study is to analogize the appearance of Korean Ancient Architecture in view of the Stone Remains from 3 Kingdom Period to Unificated Shilla Period. But in these period, there is no building remains but some stupas and fine arts. Especially, there are many architectural appearance and revealing signature in these Historical Stone remains. Architectural elements which are analogized by stone remains what has value as historical materials by preservation of original form from 3 Kingdom Preiod to Unificated Shilla Period are as follows : 1) Platform, the representative characteristic of Korean traditional architecture, was frame structure and accumulate structure. And circular or square footing stood a same shape column on it is put on the platform. 2) In the case of column, there used entasis column and inclined column and circular chamfer technique was applied on the top side of it. Upper side of column, capital and head pentrating tie that small bearing block was put on the center of it was joined. And longitu야nal rest(長舌) supported a cross beam. Capital and small bearing block had no bottom heel, and heel side was curved and straight. Centered bracket structure was often used, and multi bracket structure is not used yet. Inward incline technique was used. 3) Inward opening pair door which had lintel, threshold, doorjamb was usually used, Fixing stone was used for structural safety, and circular handle and lock was used for decoration. Handrail was used on the edge of wooden floor for decorative effect and safety. 4) Square rafter and circular rafter were used in the same period and so did flying rafter. Double eaves and single eave were used in the same period but, single eave was usually used. In this period, square rafter was usually used. This would be studied more by comparing with Japanese wooden architecture. 5) Hipped roof was used and half-hipped roof was not used yet. In front of th hip, there are small sculpture called Jap-Sang(雜像), and windbell was hang on the end of the hip rafter. Concave roof tile, convex roof tile, round eaver tile, decorative tile at end of roof ridge were used. Lotus style was well used on the face of roof tile for decoration. From the results of this study, wooden architecture of Unificated Shilla period was simple compare to Koryo dynasty and Chosun dynasty but, it had some brilliant character. It was hard work that analogized the form of non-existent wood architecture of Ancient Korean period by restricted stone remains. But, in addition to the results of this study and research of old documentations, more study should be go on.

The proposed algorithm in this paper is based on the wavelet decomposition and the energy computation of composed blocks so the amount of calculation and complexity is minimized by adaptively replacing the DWT coefficients and managing the resources effectively. We are now living in the world of a lot. of multimedia applications for many digital electric appliances and mobile devices. Among so many multimedia applications, the digital image compression is very important technology for digital cameras to store and transmit digital images to other sites and JPEG2000 is one of the cutting edge technology to compress still images efficiently. The digital cm technology is mainly using the digital image compression features so that those images could be efficiently saved locally and transferred to other sites without any losses. JPEG2000 standard is applicable for processing the digital images usefully to keep, send and receive through wired and/or wireless networks. The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is one of the main differences to the previous digital image compression standard such as JPEG, performing the DWT to the entire image rather than splitting into many blocks. Several digital images m tested with this method and restored to compare to the results of conventional DWT which shows that the proposed algorithm get the better result without any significant degradation in terms of MSE & PSNR and the number of zero coefficients when the energy based adaptive DWT is applied.

Most of natural images have a special property, what is called self-similarity, which is the basis of fractal image coding. Even though an image has local stationarity in several homogeneous regions, it is generally non-stationarysignal, especially in edge region. This is the main reason that poor results are induced in linear techniques. In order to overcome the difficulty we propose a non-linear technique using self-similarity in the image. In our work, an image is classified into stationary and non-stationary region with respect to sample variance. In case of stationary region, do-noising is performed as simply averaging of its neighborhoods. However, if the region is non-stationary region, stationalization is conducted as make a set of center pixels by similarity matching with respect to bMSE(block Mean Square Error). And then do-nosing is performed by Gaussian weighted averaging of center pixels of similar blocks, because the set of center pixels of similar blocks can be regarded as nearly stationary. The true image value is estimated by weighted average of the elements of the set. The experimental results show that our method has better performance and smaller variance than other methods as estimator.
