This study aims to identify the effect of growth of the land transportation industry on economic growth and to provide implications for Korea's metropolitan region policy. The effect of each metropolitan region on the integrated region where each metropolitan region is integrated is as follows. First, The integrated region where each metropolitan region was integrated with the Southeast region and the Daegyeong region had the greatest economic growth effect due to the growth of the land transportation industry in terms of value added, but the effect of the integrated region with the Chungcheong region was the least. In the case of capital such as roads, the integrated metropolitan regions with the Chungcheong region showed the greatest economic effect. However, the impact of the integrated regions with Jeolla region and the Seoul metropolitan region is insignificant. These results suggest that the synergy effect of metropolitan regional integration by spillover effect such as networks should be considered in the land transportation industry policy.

'90년대 들어 미국을 중심으로 Double Counting 문제와 Keynesian/Neo-classical economics theory 까지 연계되어 교통투자가 경제성장에 거의 영향을 주지 않는다는 이론과 영향을 많이 준다는 상충되는 연구결과가 계속 발표되었다. 본 논문은 교통에 대한 투자가 경제성장에 미치는 영향을 계량적으로 분석한 것이다. 범위를 좁혀 도로에 대한 투자가 생산성 즉 제조업체의 물류비에 미치는 영향을 Stated Preference Technique를 이용하여 분석한 것이다. 도로이용 승객의 시간가치를 추정하는 일반적인 Cost/Benefit Analysis와는 달리 화물수송과 관련된 투자효과를 분석하였다. 먼저 도로에 대한 투자가 화물의 수송시간절약과 그에 따른 창고시설, 재고관리등에 미치는 영향을 continuous review system과 periodic review system으로 나누어 이론적으로 고찰하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 Utility Model에 기초하여 시간가치(value of time)와 화물도착의 정확성 (value of reliability)을 도착지별(depot/consumer)과 상품별로 econometrics 기법을 활용 분석한 후 영국의 COBA와 비교 검토하였다. 종합적으로 도로에 대한 투자가 시간절약, 운행비용절감, 사고비용절감 등 직접적인 효과(direct benefit)외에 depot감소, 운행차량감소, 재고비용절약, 유휴자원의 활용 등(secondary benefits)을 통하여 경제성장에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The purposes of this research are to review the current economic measures to be used to assess the economic effects of agricultural infrastructure projects, to find some effects not included into the current measures, and to suggest new additional economic measures. So thus, economic assessment for agricultural infrastructure projects has been criticized to be overestimated. For example, some research reported that the projects enhanced rice productivity by 20% or 30%. We suggest four new measures to evaluate economic effects of agricultural infrastructure projects: (1) enhancement in productivity, (2) switchover from low-income crops to high-income crops, (3) rises in land price, and (4) lower fluctuation in production.

The purpose of this study is to verify the economic effects of the on going Korea-EU FTA negotiations upon the regional economy and to present some strategic economic countermeasures to deal with the forthcoming changes on the economic environments. In comparing with the industrial structure between Korea and EU, due to the different specific part of their industrial competitiveness both parts would have complementary cooperative transactions and trade as well. And also Korea and EU would have the similar understanding of the importance of the field of agriculture and service in accordance with the economic standpoint respectively. The level of degree and magnitude of the effect of Korea-EU FTA upon the regional economy would be decided in accordance with the industrial structure and the level of income of the regional economy. We are not to confirm and specify the economic influences of Korea-EU FTA negotiations on the economic conditions of Gangwon province but to prepare rational economic countermeasures fit to its structural character. One of the political strategies that might be feasible is the inflow of foreign direct investment from the developed European countries to the regional economy. This developing model would mean a new experiment to activate any regional economy and a new formation of the policy of economic growth.

This article analyzes issues regarding the economic development of the arctic area with the aim of finding ways to help solve the problems and to support sustainable economic development of the arctic area. Some proposals are introduced for establishing a sound legal infrastructure of the Korea-Russia economic development of the arctic area. As Russia develops the Arctic area and the route through the Arctic area, Korea will gain the possibility of transportation efficiency, vitalization of international transaction, and finding new markets. Resource development in the North Pole is ongoing, with matching international transaction and economic benefits. To reflect the Korea-Russia interests and to sustain the effect, the legal infrastructure is inevitable. For example, it would be reinforced by pushing forward the Korea-Russia FTA. The legal infrastructure for economic cooperation of Korea and Russia has to reflect that 'the development of the Arctic area and making the route through the Arctic area' should increase the sustainability and vitality of international transaction. The legal infrastructure for economic benefits can also help mitigating non-economic arguments of international community such as the security risk in the Korean-peninsula and around the world.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between the logistics industry and the economic growth in Korea, and to provide implications for the contribution of the logistics industry to economic growth. Unlike Previous Related Studies, we derive short-term and long-term effects through dynamic panel analysis such as panel Granger causality test and impulse response function estimation using panel vector error correction model. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows: Labor input of the logistics industry has the greatest positive impact on economic growth. And capital input and total sales of the logistics industry have a negative effect on economic growth. This means that Korea's logistics industry features labor-intensive growth. In addition, We have also found that the growth (sales) and capital input of the logistics industry have not yet had a direct positive impact on economic growth. Therefore, the results of this analysis provide implications for the direction of logistics industry policy to enhance contribution of the logistics industry to economic growth.

Purpose: this study is aimed at assessing the contribution of education and innovation to the economic growth of Kazakhstan, the correlation between them is checked based on two levels on a national scale and a regional scale. Based on the literature review, it was revealed that in the vastness of the scientific community, there are many views concerning the influence of educational and innovative factors on economic growth. Research design, data and methodology: the research methodology is divided into two levels, at the first level, a correlation analysis is carried out between key factors and the economic growth of the country (GDP), at the second level, the same factors are analyzed, but the impact on the economic growth of the region (GRP) is estimated. Statistical data on educational and innovation potential is taken from the Bureau of National Statistics for the period 2003-2021. Results: in this study, it was revealed that the economic development of regions could be influenced by such indicators that cannot affect the entire state in aggregate and vice versa. In addition, the correlation analysis results showed that investments in innovations affect economic growth at the country and the regional level. Conclusions: based on the results of the assessment of educational and innovative potential, policy recommendations and further research in this area were proposed.

The government of Vladimir Putin, which has been ruling Russia for a long period since 2000, has recently strived for the balanced development of underdeveloped regions and sustainable economic growth. Therefore, along with energy development in the Far East and Siberian regions, the government is promoting development projects on logistics and distribution infrastructure. It is also expanding the construction of innovative districts to develop cutting-edge technologies in the outskirts of Moscow. Amid these moves, South Korea is pushing for the New Northern Policy aimed at widening economic cooperation with European and North Asian countries to expand the scope and influence of the country's trade market. The previous year of 2020, marked the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Russia. In this context, this study was initiated to propose various measures for promoting economic cooperation and expanding trade between South Korea and Russia. Therefore, this study examined Russia's political and economic environment and explored its major industrial environment with a focus on the energy industry, innovative districts and infra facility. The study also examined the progress of a FTA between the Eurasian Economic Union, in which Russia currently takes the lead, and South Korea and recommended several measures to upgrade and accelerate economic cooperation between the two countries through research on a range of topics.

Objectives: The aim of this study is reviewing the literature to extract the key parameter, study design, perspective, cost-effectiveness index and find the calibration parameter for the clinical study with economical evaluation protocol on facial palsy. Methods: Literature search is performed using PUBMED for literature published from January 2000 to December 2016. We included randomized controlled trials(RCTs) and modelling study with economic assessment in which human participated. Results: As a result of literature search, the 198 articles were found. After reviewing the title, abstract and full text, the 5 articles were selected. Selected articles are classified into 4 RCT studies dealing with quality of life and 1 CEA(cost-effectiveness analysis) study. Conclusions: We found reliable key parameters, calibration parameters and elements of economical assessment study, which might be necessary factors for developing research protocol of clinical trial with economic evaluation about facial palsy patients.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends on the cost-effectiveness in acupuncture for patients with allergic rhinitis. Methods : The literature and research in allergic rhinitis was searched in electronic databases, such as National Health Service Economic Evaluation Database(NHS EED) and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews(CDSR). The general characteristics and the results of each economic analysis such as incremental cost-effectiveness ratios(ICERs) were extracted. Results : In total, thirty seven studies were searched, and two studies were analyzed. They were cost-utility analysis(CUA)s that measured quality-adjusted life years(QALYs). One study showed that the ICER was €22,798 per QALY and was robust in sensitivity analysis. Another showed that the ICER was between €31,241 and €118,889 from society's perspective and between €20,807 and €74,585 from a third-party payer's perspective. Conclusions : Any generalization of these results needs to be made with caution given the specific effects of acupuncture and the difference of cost data in the various countries. Further studies are needed on this topic in order to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness clearly.
