The competitiveness of a country or a city plays an important role as a determining factor in this age of globalization In view of tourism studies, the potential for a region to develop depends primarily on its ability to use and maintain economic advantages in its provision of tourist products and services. In spite of the importance of competitiveness in tourism studies, few researches have been done on competitiveness in Korea The purpose of this study is, therefore, to conduct a comparative analysis of competitiveness between coastal metropolitan cities in Korea-Busan, Ulsan and Incheon- developing tourism index and finding out urban competitiveness. The findings of this study will contribute to enhancing tourism promotion and mutual network with other cities and attracting domestic and international tourists.

Real time communication is very important in factory automation system using FieldBus. In this paper, we Propose the method to drive dual motors with one controller using CAN In traditional induction motor control technique, two independent Inverters are used to drive dual motors independently. In this case, two controllers are needed. Our proposed dual motors control scheme which use only one microprocessor has many advantages in the view of economic and performance compared to conventional technique.

Recently, amount of High-Rise Mixed-use Building is Increasing based on Preference of comfortable residence and good view. Government policies were turned to prefer about High-Rise Mixed-use Building because of decreased real estate Condition. But these changes have revealed that it has many maintenance problems for example- efficiency, economic, environmental problems. This paper suggests that the Database System based on various alternatives and real case. And it will be a tool in the scientific decision and value analysis from the facility management to make optimized decision.

To provide a specified power quality under electric market system is becoming an important issue for customers and utility company. However, there is no realistic infra-structure to design a power system for the specified power quality. Present electric market is operating under the economic point of view. The low price could be attractive. but the effect of low price and low power quality for the long time should be considered for the system safety. This paper presents a model which conceptualize the dynamic power quality control mechanism to minimize total cost of a society which is affected electric power quality. This model aims to produce a basic infra-structure to balance cost and quality under the electric market system.

자본주의의 태동 이후 산업혁명과 정보혁명 등 기업은 끊임없이 새로운 혁명적 환경에 노출되고 있으며 이에 따라 기업가 정신 또한 시대에 따라 재정의 되어 왔다. 기업가 정신은 창업 기업 뿐 아니라 기존 기업에 있어서도 기업 경영의 커다란 원동력으로 자리 잡고 있다. 씨써클은 문화의 새로운 명칭으로, 구성요소에는 오픈 마인드와 스피릿이 있으며 창의성과 포용성, 영성을 내포하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기업가 정신을 씨써클 관점에서 파악하여 이를 기업에 적용할 수 있는 틀을 제시하고자 한다.

During the past two decades, a huge amount of research on adaptive control charts has been accomplished. Especially, variable sampling interval (VSI), variable sample size (VSS), and variable sample size and sampling interval (VSSI) charts have been focused by many researchers due to their simplicity and efficiency. On the other hand, the difference among notations, assumptions, methodologies may cause confusions in per forming further studies or practical implementations. This research analyses and compares diverse models so as to provide a unified view on statistical and economical characteristics. As a result, we perform comparative study on economical design models of VSI, VSS, and VSSI charts, respectively, We also present practical guidelines to utilize those adaptive control charts.

As power systems grow more complex and power demands increase, the fault current tends to gradually increase. In the near future, the fault current will exceed a circuit breaker rating for some substations, which is an especially important issue in the Seoul metropolitan area because of its highly meshed configuration. Currently, the Korean power system is regulated by changing the 154kV system configuration from a loop connection to a radial system, by splitting the bus where load balance can be achieved, and by upgrading the circuit breaker rating. A development project applying 154kV Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) to 154kV transmission systems is proceeding with implementation slated for after 2010. In this paper, SFCL is applied to reduce the fault current in power systems according to two different application schemes and their technical impacts are evaluated. The results indicate that both application schemes can regulate the fault current under the rating of circuit breaker, however, applying SFCL to the bus-tie location is much more appropriate from an economic view point.

The conventional reinforced earth retaining wall has the connector system to fix the reinforcement and block However, this system may cause the crack of block and the rupture of reinforcement due to the stress concentration near the face of reinforced earth retaining wall In this study, the new connector system, which is able to allow the settlement of reinforcement, was applied to analyze the effect of connector system of reinforced earth retaining wall The connection strength tests and centrifugal tests for both the conventional reinforced earth retaining wall and the settlement reinforced earth retaining wall were performed to compare the results

This study was carried out to survey the degree of the perception and necessity of wedding food prepared by housewives. The participants of the survey were 331 housewives lived in Busan and Kyungnam area. The findings could be summarized as follows: The housewives lived in Busan and Kyungnam area had evaluated the necessity of wedding foods, Paebaek foods or Yedan foods. The respondents of 36.6% answered that they will order wedding foods from specialists, whereas 28.7% said that they will prepare them by themselves. More than half of the respondents(56.2%) thought that current wedding foods were prodigal and have to be done in thrifty manner. Broadly 46.8% of the respondents considered that the ritual practices of wedding foods will decrease steadily. A conclusion was that lots of participants had a negative view of wedding foods and pointed out the necessity of developing them to reflect traditional wedding customs with economic costs.

Much attention has been paid recently to environmental destruction by golf course constructions in Koera. An efficiency and up-to-date technology on the planning and design practices has been requested to minimize the environmental impacts. Computerized systems for golf course design in the point of physical conservation of environment were discussed here. Geograpic Information System were applied on the process of geograpical data input and analysis through the final outputs, Simulation works by the total database management make enable to pre-investigate of the design in view of an assessment of environment impacts. It is also possible to evaluate plans easily and propose the alternatives properly. Precise quantity caculation of en-gineering works by computer system should be guarantee scientific, economic, and environme-ntally sound golf course design.
