Despite competing strategical interests over Southeast Asia that have emerged in the last decade, with the launch of wide scope geopolitical strategies Chinese and Japanese initiatives have been characterized by a certain degree of implicit coordination, particularly in offering support to the Myanmar state's territorializing strategies for economic development. The case of the Thilawa Special Economic Zones (SEZ) is exemplary, as it was a Japan-led project which became a model and benchmark example for similar development initiatives supported by the People's Republic of China.

본 연구는 글로벌 경제체제 하에서의 차세대 국가경쟁력기반인 광역경제권역 내에서의 지방 R&D 지원체계의 효율화에 대한 연구이다. 최근 OECD 주요 선진국들은 국가경쟁력 강화차원에서 지역의 경제권역을 확대해 가면서 확대된 경제권역에 새로운 권한과 기능을 부여하는 방식을 채택하고 있다. 또한 지역의 R&D의 역량을 강화하여 국가경쟁력의 기반인 지역의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 노력을 경주하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 상황하에서 우리나라의 지역 R&D의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 지역 R&D 추진체계에 대한 현황분석과 사례분석을 통하여 향후 우리나라의 지역 R&D 발전을 위한 방안을 도출하였다.

Industrial agglomeration policy is a strategy that is expected to accelerate economic growth to transform an impoverished region into a prosperous one. However, industrial agglomeration also has the potential to exacerbate development inequality due to the concentration of economic development activities in certain areas. Therefore, this study aims to investigate what strategies are best to minimize the adverse effects of industrial agglomeration. This study uses econometric analysis with panel data covering 38 districts/cities in East Java during the 2011-2019 period. The results showed that the combination of industrial agglomeration policies coupled with accelerated sectoral growth, hard infrastructure development, and soft infrastructure provided the best policy outcome, improving regional inequality and accelerating economic growth in East Java. Based on the analysis, we find that East Java's economic growth characteristics are convergent but relatively long. Therefore, the East Java economic development policy during 2010-2019 should be reviewed due to the relatively long convergence period. Furthermore, this study also found that industrial agglomeration slows down the convergence and economic growth of East Java. In the future, the deployment of Industrial Development Centers (PPI) outside the existing eight districts/cities is needed to accelerate the spread of economic activity in East Java.

This paper focuses on establishing strategies to ensure entry to the Uzbekistan in the process of developing business opportunities and managing industry. The study provides initiatives to maintain industrial competitiveness as well as policy guidance for entry and management on the Uzbekistan's industry. The most prominent feature of Uzbekistan's industrial development policy during the past decade is that it has undertaken an integrated policy approach to development which brought about sustainable economic development. In this development process, trade policy, manpower development policy, and technology policy were well coordinated and complementary to industrial policy in the Uzbekistan. This paper attempts to analyze Uzbekistan's custom and system in terms of broad industrial policy concept through resource and economic environment of Uzbekistan and to derive some lessons of market evaluation and policy implication for Korean government and industrial line.

Nigeria like many other developing countries' eagerness to accelerate socio-economic development has prompted her to adopt several approaches over the years since independence. These have ranged from the import substitution scheme, the indigenisation policy, and structural adjustment programme to the national economic empowerment development strategy. Nigeria has sought to widen her economic base by engaging in increased cross-border trade and investment activities. This is with a view to spurring the process of industrialization and ultimately lowering the level of poverty in the country. This has led to the formulation of various industrial policies and processes, all geared towards integration into the world economy. Using secondary sources, this paper seeks to analyze Nigeria's journey towards industrial development especially within the context of globalization. It concludes by explaining the impact of the new economic paradigm on the country's quest to industrialize and recommends alternative path towards development and growth.

This paper rejuvenates the existing discussion on the importance of cluster approach to industry development strategies. Current evidences suggest that the shape of economic policy and practice is changing significantly around the world. Governments continually search for new tools and policy formulas to improve economic performance and create economic prosperity for all citizens. In this context a more proactive and strategic role for government in support of the cluster-based economic development model has emerged. This paper uses Singapore's petrochemical industry as an example to study the cluster approach to industry development. In doing so, there is much optimism to the importance of state and its institutions to play a significant role on industry development. Nevertheless, the study also raises doubts on whether the cluster-based strategy is due to the concept itself or due to other important factors.

The world Economy has rearranged into three economic block. Especially, the nation's economy in Northeast area are an engine of world economic development. Among these nations in Northeast area china has done a main role of the development of world economy. Owing to raising of the China economy, the Export-Import of container load has rapidly increased in this area. So it is very important of the nation to manage a port. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to analysis a port of Masan and to search the way of development. To accomplish this purpose, I will analyze a logistics circumstance in northeast area and a port of Pusan and Jinhae. In conclusion, government and local government must enlarge the investment to develope the port of Masan. Local government should do its best effort to solve the problem of port of Masan. And all citizen should recognize that a development of the port of Masan will be the engine of the raising of Masan.

1978년 말 시작된 중국의 경제개혁은 시간이 지남에 따라 그 속도와 깊이가 심화되고 있으며, 특히 최근에 진행되고 있는 사영기업의 성장이 갖는 의미는 경제적으로나 정치적으로 매우 중요하지만, 공간적으로도 그 발전의 차별성으로 인해 특정지역의 발전과 지역불균등 성장패턴에 미치는 영향이 심대하다. 본 연구는 사영기업의 발전경로를 규정해 온 제도적 변화와 함께 사영기업 성장의 지역구조를 이해하고자하였다. 사영기업의 성장 이면에는 경제개혁의 근본접근양식이 시장화전략과 경제개혁이 진행됨에 따라 나타나는 실업의 문제해결이라는 중요한 동기가 자리 잡고 있다. 사영기업 발전의 지역패턴 또한 지속적으로 심화되는 공간적 차별화에 의해 특징 지워진다. 지역통계자료에 기초한 일차적인 분석결과, 사영기업의 발전은 지역경제의 시장화정도와 밀접한 관련성을 보이게 된다. 따라서 향후 경제발전의 지역적 패턴특정은 경제 개혁의 진전과 시장화 수준에 따라 결정될 것으로 생각되며, 이는 향후 지역발전을 위한 전략 수립에서 사영기업 발전전략이 차지하는 중요성을 뚜렷히 보여준다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to reveal that digital Zakat has a role in economic development. Even when disasters hit densely populated areas in big cities, Zakat is distributed quickly and precisely. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses literature studies with an approach to Islamic economics and sociology of society. The authenticity of this research is about the potential role of digital Zakat which can create sustainable economic development in slums. Result: The results of the study concluded that economic development in slums could be carried out if it collaborated with Zakat institutions which were carried out in several stages. The existence of sustainable solidarity is a serious threat in the effort to achieve development goals and this is very regrettable by almost everyone because it can increase economic inequality. Conclusion: Strategy development is obtained from empirical evidence, the construction of slums that have been carried out by other countries in various parts of the world who also have the same problem. Although statistically not analyzed the relationship between the potential for Zakat and the level of welfare of densely populated settlements, theoretically digital Zakat can be one of the pillars to achieve community welfare through the distribution of Zakat.
