Purpose : The present study attempted to consider the degree of consciousness of economic ethics in nursing students and the factors affecting these perceptions. Method : A survey was conducted to a total of 874 nursing students from the freshmen and seniors of 11 depts of nursing science nationwide selected by convenience sampling (one for each province, and as for Gangwon-do, two schools were selected from Yeongdong area and Yeongseo area ; 13 male students were excluded). A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on their demographic characteristics and economic ethical perceptions. Collected data were analyzed using the SAS V8.1 statistical package. Result : (1) The score for the economic ethical consciousness of the subjects was $36.76{\pm}10.20$. As for each sub-categories, the score for industry was $7.67{\pm}2.77$; thrift, $7.42{\pm}2.37$; cooperation, $7.41{\pm}2.21$; occupational consciousness, $7.18{\pm}2.20$; and, for consumption, $7.02{\pm}1.90$. The score for the consciousness of consumption was the lowest. (2) Among the demographic characteristics of the subjects, age was found to have a statistically significant positive relation to the consciousness of economic ethics(r=.13, p<.001). The next significant factor was grade: seniors seemed to have a higher economic consciousness in all the sub-categories than freshmen(t=-4.32, p<.001). The number of in-home family has a statistically significant negative correlation with economic attitudes(r=-.15, p<.001). In addition, their economic ethical perceptions were significantly higher with no religion (t=2.14, p<.05); have an unemployed father (t=2.78, p<.05); have credit cards under their own names (t=3.04, p<.05); have ever had overdue card bills (t=4.25, p<.001); have ever had part time job(t=1.74, p<.1) and when they don't live with their parents (t=-2.01, p<.05). 3) A multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the influential power of the factors affecting the consciousness of economic ethics of the subjects. The factors had more influence on the economic attitudes of the seniors than those of freshmen; in those who having credit cards under their own names than under others; and, in those who have ever experienced credit default than those haven't. Though these factors raised average 3.0 points of economic consciousness, their expository power for the consciousness were low. Conclusion : The nursing students had medium-high consciousness of economic ethics and they seemed to have low consciousness of the proper consumption practices. Their actual life experiences had an influence on their economic attitudes. Therefore, practical programs on economic knowledge should be developed and taught to students systematically at school so that they could have sound consciousness of economic ethics and appropriate knowledge closely related with their real life.
This research is a construct to understand CSR and pro-social consumption behavior of fashion consumers which classifies CSR efforts of fashion company and conducts positive analysis of the relationship between such characteristics and social relationship behaviors(sharing of values, consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation) and pro-social consumption behavior. For this path analysis was conducted utilizing a sample of 430 consumers who have experience of CSR efforts of fashion brands. The result is as follows. First, as a result of the path relationship among CSR efforts & sharing of values of fashion brands, consciousness of kind and consciousness of future expectation, economic efforts, relational efforts and cyclical efforts meaningfully affected sharing of values, whereas creative efforts did not. Also, relational and creative efforts meaningfully affected consciousness of kind, whereas economic and cyclical efforts did not. Furthermore, economic, relational and cyclical efforts meaningfully affected consciousness of future expectation, when creative efforts failed. Second, as a result of the analysis of path relationship among sharing of values, consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation and pro-social consumption behavior of social relationships, sharing of values had a meaningful impact on consciousness of kind, consciousness of future expectation and pro-social consumption behavior. And finally consciousness of kind and future expectation showed meaningful influence on pro-social consumption behavior.
The purpose of this study is clarify consumer problem on the basis of understanding consumer behavior, that is, to make explicit the effect of economic levels and educational background upon consumer consciousness and consumption behavior. The data in this study is from a survey in 1973 by means of a questionnaire of the opinions of 200 housewives of Seoul. The ${\chi}^2$(Chi-Squire) was applied for the statistical analysis of the data and following results were found. Generally consumers lack understanding of economic matters and satisfactory consciousness on matters of consumption life. And there is significant difference among the class on several matters. That is, the lower economic level and educational background are, the lower the understanding of economic matters and consciousness of satisfaction are. So the consumer education must be carried out for lower class of economic level and educational background. And in the present awakening of salers and makers is needed for consumers.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between mothers' and college women's as daughters consciousness and behaviors for diligence, frugality and economy and also analyze related variables such as socio-economic variables. The data used in this study included 273 college women and their mothers living in Seoul. The results of this research were as follows. 1) Three variables of consciousness and behaviors of mothers and their daughters are still highly maintained. There are significant differences between all of the consciousness and behavior variables except frugality between mothers and their daughters. 2) Mother's diligent consciousness is positively correlated with daughter's frugaliy behavior and economy consciousness. Mother's economy consciousness and behavior are positively correlated with daughter's frugality behavior. Only mother's frugality consciousness negatively correlated with daughter's frugality consciousness and economy behavior. 3) The mothers' consciousness and behaviors of frugality, and economy varies significantly according to the socio-economic variables such as mother's education, mother's job, income and social status. 4) The daughters' consciousness and behaviors of diligence, frugality, and economy varies significantly according to the amount of allowence.
The followings are the findings of a study on university student's clothing disposition behavior depending on their personality and environmental consciousness: 1. University student's personality factors were classified into perceived consumer effectiveness, globalism, alienation, conservatism, and a sense of social responsibility. 2. The personality factors are found to have significant influences on both economic and altruistic disposition behavior. 3. In terms of the economic disposition behavior, people in the groups with high environmental consciousness tend to trade unused clothing with other things rather than to sell them for the benefit of economic gains. With regard to the altruistic disposition behavior, they also tend to give the clothing to their close people, for example family members or relatives, rather than to donate them to churches or charitable organizations.

This study aims to analyzes the Relationship Between Community Consciousness and Residents' Participation in Tourism Development. Starting in 2004, the Rural Tourism Development Project, which has been promoted in Korea, is taking a bottom-up approach that values the participation of residents. And Resident's Participation is also an important criterion for selecting business sites. As the farming community becomes more modern, the community consciousness is declining. But Community consciousness is an important factor for the sustainable maintenance of rural villages. And if community members share a sense of homogeneity, they can identify problems that communities have, and they can solve them with responsibility. Community consciousness can be called the basic infrastructure of residents' participation. Rural tourism feature different characteristics from other tourist areas in that the residential space of local residents is the destination of the tours. As a result, the influence on tourism development is directly affected, so the attitude of local residents is an important success factor unlike other tourism developments. The study analyzed the community consciousness and participation in Tourism Development, which is a significant success factor in rural areas. The survey which included 200 residents of the DMZ Peace Village Site, was concluded that the member's perception and ttachment among Community Consciousness affected the Residents' Participation, and that Economic Influence among tourist development attitudes affected the Residents' Participation. It based on the results in rural tourism development for the residents' participation should be considered with a plan to enhance the economic life satisfaction and promote the economic impact on the area.
In this research, we analyzed the effect of environmental friendliness on consumer's purchase intention with an energy saving product. We found that the economic benefit, easy to use and environmental friendliness have significant positive(+) effects on environmental friendliness of the energy saving product. We also found that the effects of economic benefit and environmental friendliness differ by the level of consumer's environmental consciousness. Consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness are less sensitive on the change of the economic benefit and more sensitive on the change of the environmental friendliness than consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness. The results of this research imply that when planning a marketing strategy for an environmental friendly product it is important to emphasis the economic benefit to consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness while it is important to emphasis the environmental friendliness to consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness.
This study was conducted to identify the differences in parental caregiving consciousness according to the characteristics of women immigrants, and the variables affecting parental caregiving consciousness of women immigrants. The participants were 592 women immigrants sampled from a metropolis, three metropolitan cities, two cities and a county across the country. The major results of the study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in physical and economic caregiving consciousness of women immigrants according to residential area, family income, hope to support homeland parents, contact with homeland family, and participation in self-help meeting. And there were significant differences in emotional caregiving consciousness according to residential area, family income, living with parents, hope to support homeland parents, and participation in self-help meeting. Second, as the results of multiple regression analysis, the predictors of physical caregiving consciousness were age, residential area, family income, hope to support homeland parents, and contact with homeland family. But the predictors of economic caregiving consciousness were age, residential area, home country, difference in spouse's age, family income, hope to support homeland parents, and contact with homeland family. Finally, the predictors of emotional caregiving consciousness were residential area, family income, and hope to support homeland parents. The variable of hope to support homeland parents revealed the most influential variable affecting commonly all of the three types of caregiving consciousness.
This study aimed to investigate the changed consciousness and expenditure on Kyong-Jo after IMF economic crisis and the some factors which have effects on the change. The expenditure on Kyong-Jo included donations and gifts associated with congratulations and condolences. The data were collected through the personal questionnaire on Cheju Island. The sample consisted of 400 married adults whose age were between 20 to 65. The independent variables were some individual characteristics, household related variables, and Kyong-Jo related variables. The dependent variables included the change in consciousness and expenditure on Kyong-Jo. The data were analyzed by methods such as frequencies, means, Multiple Regression and Logistic Regression analysis. Major results were as follows. The respondents perceived that Kyong-Jo is fundamentally a good custom to help each other when some one is in the hard time. Their perception of the expenditure on Kyong-Jo has not been changed even since IMF economic crisis. 70% of the respondents staid that there was little difference of the expenditure on Kyong-Jo before and after IMF economic crisis. This trend is in contrast to the perception and the expenditure of the people who lived in the other residences after IMF economic crisis. The factors which had significant effects on the respondent's consciousness of the expenditure on Kyong-Jo were occupation, whether owns a house or not, household income, and household assets. The change of household expenditure on Kyong-Jo was effected by the respondent's sex, occupation, household income, household assets, and social network. These results suggested that the respondents on Cheju Island more strongly hold the conservative perception to the expenditure on Kyong-Jo rather than the people in other residences.
This research was performed for examining the differences of experience of sex education and the awareness of sexual abuse according to child's sex and economic background. Also the differences of sex knowledge and sexual consciousness were analyzed according to child's sex, economic background and sex education. Subjects were 425 children from two elementary schools and 10 community child centers in H city, Gyeonggi-do. The results were as follows. First, more girls thought the desirable place for sex education was home and more girls consulted sexual problems with their parents. Children from low economic backgrounds experienced sex education at school and community child centers rather than at home. Second, both boys and girls replied that sexual abuse was due to the attacker's fault but more girls than boys attributed the fault to themselves. Third, girls' sex knowledge grade was higher than boys. Fourth, boys showed a more open attitude toward heterosexual dating, and children with a low economic background showed a higher sex drive. Fifth, a high sex drive was related to low sexual knowledge, openness in dating and high sexual ethics.
