The cylinder cover stud for assembling the combustion chamber components of low-speed marine diesel engine is one of the main structural components in engine. To understand the structural behavior of the stud is quite important for safe and economic design of it. In this paper, the structural behavior and design adequacy of the stud have been evaluated through strain measurement and structural analysis for the world's two largest engine types. Moreover, a feasibility study for design modification was carried out based on fatigue test and calculation. The results showed that 1) the stud experiences very high stress ratio under normal operating conditions, 2) the fatigue strength of the stud is sufficient, and 3) results from strain measurement and structural analysis were quite close each other.

This study is a review of the clothing behavior of kidult group that is a new minority group in 21st century. Kidult is the compound word of kid and adult and refers the persons who have become adults but with the inclination to focus on childlike culture and consumption. As the background of the appearance of the kidult group these days, the prevalence of throwback fashions, high valuation of appearance, the phenomenon to prefer light things caused by economic depression, the individualism that does not care about others and the ageless phenomenon that the consumptions are mind age oriented, may be pointed out. The most prominent cloth behavioral characters of the kidult group are that they enjoy bounding color combinations such as candy color and. that cute t-shirts, crop pants and volume skirts of girlish look are easily found. Also, they enjoy toy-like ornaments and illustrated clothes or accessories and the school uniform fashion implying nostalgia for girl-hood and lovely make-up indicate the kidult inclination.

In order to design and construct a safe and economic underground structure, it is essential to understand the structural behavior of underground openings considering the effect of the sequential excavation. Therefore, this paper includes the study of initial stress distribution before excavation and stress redistribution due to the sequential excavation. And discussion on numerical simulation techniques for the sequential excavation is also included. Then, the underground structure is analyzed using the finite element and distinct element methods of analysis considering the effect of the sequential excavation. Based on the results of the analysis, the followings are discussed: shape of the openings, effect and timing of structural reinforcements. methods and sequence of excavation.

This study investigated the current situation regarding college environments and the use of disposable goods, to inquire the environmental consciousness of college student consumers, and to identify factors that affect their use of disposable products. The major findings of this study are summarized in the following. First, college students' usage of disposable products was measured in two ways: the tendency to use disposable product and the quantities of disposable products consumed. The tendency to use disposable product was found to be 2.80/5, which indicates that college students' behavior of consuming disposable goods was less than moderate. On average, a college student consumed a total of 35 disposable products per month. Second, variables that affect college students' consumption of disposable products were investigated. The students who showed a higher tendency to use disposable products were those with more spending money, those without any experiences in the environmental organizations and clubs, those who had a low personal opinion toward university policies, those who regarded environmental protection as more important than economic growth, and those who thought environmental protection to be more important than fashion.

The jacking of cantilever before key segment closure has been introduced to offset the long term forces caused by creep and shrinkage. In this paper, the behavior of structural system with the jacking force in approach bridge of Incheon Bridge was reviewed. The introduction of jacking force effectively offset the long term horizontal forces and allows economic substructure member design.

This study was attempted to investigate the difference f eating behavior and nutrients intake according to Region. The summarized results are as follows; the economic values were most important scores and highest ranks for most of subjects, followed by health and social. subjects in Cheon Nam consider health values more important than those in Seoul, who consider social values more important than former. Food habits of subjects in both regions belonged to "Fair" group, the score of food habit it in Cheon Nam was higher than those in Seoul. Though Subjects in both regions showed similar in level of nutrients intake, Cheon nam are a little higher than Seoul(average 1~2%). This survey showed the more they concerned with health value, the better food habits and nutrients intake they had. The residents in Cheon Nam regarded health more importantly and had better food habits, and higher standard of nutrients intake than those in Seoul. in Seoul.

As material needs have been increasing with recent economic growth, it is a current tendency that the magnitude of load applied to structure has been rising. With improved technique of product materials, steel and concrete have been stranger than ever so the danger of fatigue damage increases as permanent action of repeated loads. In case of deformed steel bars widely used in reinforced concrete structure, when they are product in factory, there will exist same parts connecting the steels. Such connections are easy to be weakened by permanent action of repeated loads. It is a real condition in Korea that there is lack of research of it. As a result of estimating fatigue characteristic of Pressure Welded joints with the steels that are oftenly used and producted in domestic it is showed that there are no remarkable difference in fatigue strength. Because there is no detail which is refered in Civil Specification, this paper will be the basic data being added in later Specification.

The purpose of this study was to examine fashion counterfeit purchasing behavior among female college students.497 female college students living in Seoul were surveyed for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and t-test were used. As the results, approximately 54% of respondents had purchased fashion counterfeits before. Among fashion counterfeit products, handbag, apparels, shoes and accessories were frequently purchased by them. For materialism instrument, three factors of materialism were found and labeled as happiness, ownership, and economic factors. Three factors of shopping values were also identified as hedonic, utilitarian, and social shopping values. There were statistically significant differences between purchasing group and non-purchasing group in terms of materialism and shopping values; that is, those who had purchased fashion counterfeits showed higher scores on materialism and hedonic and social shopping value than those who had not.

Recently developed JES(Joint Element Structure) Method was researched as a more safe and economic method than other under pass construction method and was applied to many construction sites. The joint element connection of JES Method is the most important factor for the to behavior of structure. The connection of JES method is filled with the mortar, and the steel and mortar of connections produce the same behavior as one material. The results of experience and numerical analysis are following: The maximum internal stress of connection is decided by the end of connection. also, The connection of joint element structure method have sufficient internal stress against fatigue.
