The significant aim of this research is to suggest the applicable data for the future urban ecological restoration of rivers' activity and the direction of the future eco-experience program found by analyzing the state and progress of the restoration of the river ecological experience program. For this purpose, we researched the eco-experience program's outline and details of its operation and method from six rivers among all of the rivers going through restoration. We also carried out telephone interviews and in-depth interviews with the office staff that takes care about each river at the district office to investigate the specific details not revealed by our analysis, the number of operations, and the number of participants. We compared the number of operations to the number of participants and the frequency of participation of each river in a year. As a result, they have revealed that the participants of the eco-experience program ranged in variety including local students, families, and local citizens as a whole. Also the intimate observation and experience with nature gave the participants a better understanding of the ecosystem. In addition, it is revealed that the cheonggye river goes through its own standard of strict inspections and management daily. It is quite easy to notice that the cheonggye river shows a higher level of participation and operating activity than other rivers.

This research intends to find the concept of eco-village in suburban area which various people can experience. For this, we established general ideas through theoretical reflections, and found an objective of suburban eco-village through functional practices. According to the research, a composition of eco-village to reduce the environmental load consists of three major functions. First, by forming traditional meanings of eco-village community, it creates eco-friendly life through energy saving and resource recycling. Second, it functions as relieving the stress of the urbanites and healing their mind and body in the nature of formed eco-village community. Finally, the implementation of eco-village is an idea of group of people who tends to live with nature. Thus, by recovering the nature and by preserving the nature with eco-friendly concept, it will be developed by a place where people can experience the importance of nature. However, these three functions should reflect regional characteristics sufficiently, and through saving and utilizing the history, culture and ecological resources of the regions, it gives positive support to local natives' sustainable life. Consequently, it will show the right direction of development of suburban eco-village through each case analysis of these three functions.
Background: Plastic waste generates pollutants in the process of incineration or landfilling, and accumulates in water or marine organisms, causing adverse effects on the environment and the human body. Recently, various eco-friendly oral hygiene products (Eco-OHPs) such as bamboo toothbrushes and biodegradable plastic toothbrushes have been developed. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the current level of awareness and purchasing status of eco-OHPs among adults who are interested in eco-friendly products. Methods: This study included adults aged >19 years who regularly visited eco-friendly shops and online sites; the online survey links were distributed during their visits to eco-friendly Internet cafés and companies. Of the 22 questions, seven assessed the participants' general characteristics, three assessed the general oral hygiene care products used, six assessed the level of awareness of Eco-OHPs, and six assessed the purchasing status of Eco-OHPs. Frequency analysis, chi-square test, and regression analysis were performed using SPSS software. Results: Among the respondents, 108 (51.4%) were aware of Eco-OHPs, and 79 (37.6%) had experience purchasing Eco-OHPs. The most common reason for not purchasing was the lack of information about related brands or products (74, 56.5%). The most common platform used in obtaining information was the Internet (general: 31.5%, eco-friendly: 46.3%), such as Social Network Service, Internet cafes, and blogs. The experience in purchasing Eco-OHPs was affected by whether the respondents recognized the possibility of contributing to environmental preservation, availability of vendors, product safety, and the number of eco-friendly products purchased. Conclusion: In order to expand the use of Eco-OHPs, various efforts such as promotion of eco-friendly characteristics, determination of related vendors, reliable analysis of product safety, and expansion of product experience opportunities are required.

This study was carried out to create a master plan for an urban eco-forest, including concepts of forest restoration, forest management, and nature education. The concept of an urban eco-forest is different from the original eco-forest, which pursues the conservation of native species in their habitats, using the resources of special plants, etc. The study site was a hill (128m) managed as an urban natural park. Citizens have usually used the park for fitness purposes, as a place for outdoor exercise early mornings on weekdays and holidays. The result of a questionnaire survey showed that the users knew about the eco-forest, and they wanted to participate in the nature education programs. The flora and actual vegetation were weak about conservation of native species on the site. The framework of the plan consisted of development of the ecological forest and forest restoration, and allowed for recreation and the experience of nature, according to the concepts of the urban eco-forest. The landscape was divided into the experience zone of biodiversity, the experience zone of a valley ecosystem, the forest restoration zone, and the recreation and experience zone in nature. Based on this framework, detailed programs and theme areas were planned, as were forest restoration models and planting plans.

The architectural space is the involuntary place where man lives and experiences, and as a 3 dimensional space through the continuous experience with the concept of 4th dimension of time, it provides the observers with the dramatic space imagery These kinds of space experiences are experienced mentally and perceptively through the physical elements of inner and outer space of the architectural buildings, and this space imagery is created here by all the space composing elemensts of the building. These space experiences are caused by the changing processes of the space characteristics, and the observers perceive the changes in space characteristics. The present building is going with Eco-Architecture. When 2008 sees the building,,Eco-Architecture design which hits appears. There is a possibility of seeing 16 kind types from that place. And From here examined the spatiality which is expressed. These changing processes of inner and outer space, space versus space, and unit space, which are perceived by the observer. The purpose of this study is to develop promotion strategies for revitalizing mountain eco-villages through social economic support. In order to fulfill this purpose, this study analyzed operation conditions, income creation structures of 240 mountain eco-villages formed by Korea Forest Service, and reviewed systems for social economic support. As summarized in research outputs, this study confirmed that the activities of organizations for joint projects had not been properly implemented due to the absence of supporting systems following the construction of mountain eco-villages. In addition, 159 villages formed as experience villages could not be qualified for enterprise systems due to aging population and absence of network systems. As for income creation, as indicated by comparing net incomes for joint projects calculated based on the classification of village management evaluation, the average net income of 51 highly-rated villages was 22 million Won and that of 128 moderately-rated villages was 3.5 million Won. Experience-based projects and the sales of processed forestry products made by young adult associations or women's societies were major sources of income, and the absence of inner economic bases or villages' jobs caused young adults and returned farmers to focus on working for outside economic activities. Finally, this study developed strategies for mountain eco-village's social economic promotion and suggested four stages of social economic revitalization provisions.

The objective of this research is to suggest the appropriate natural environment conservation facility management plan in Korea through development of the proper definition and categorization. Bearing the above objective, this study employs the comparison and analysis between domestic and international case studies. Furthermore, several survey methods have been adopted as check-lists for the evaluation of the sample sites and quantitative interviews with government officials and visitors to investigate their perspectives. On the consequence, firstly it was found that considering ecological types and objectives, the proper applicability of natural environment conservation facility could be disaggregated into three types of eco-park, eco-experience and education, and eco-observation facility. Secondly, based on the interview results, the necessity of provision of the natural environment conservation facilities was strongly found among the governmental officials and the residents groups who also expect the expansion of the facilities. Lastly, it appears necessary that the expansion of supporting projects and programs on the natural environment conservation facilities, the estimation and provision of the appropriate funding for monitoring, management and operation, the arrangement of resident experts, and activation of the nature environment education programs.

Through this study, I explored a creation of the postmodern furniture aesthetics through the transformation by student's interpretation in experiencing the art/craft/handmade/studio furniture aesthetics in postmodernism theoretically for 'wood culture experience class' or 'wood love experience class' by the Korea Forest Service because the class tends to focus on making simple wood works involved just in the practical part. Qualitative conceptual analysis as the principal methodology was used to achieve the theoretical context in the experience programs. Following the lesson one on defining the postmodern aesthetics in New Design furniture as metaphor and the lesson two on interpreting an aesthetics of art and everyday life with the wood furniture which expresses the metaphorical and symbolical aesthetics appeared as New Design furniture in postmodernism in the previous papers, I developed lesson three on creating an object using eco-friendly materials like wood in transforming an aesthetics of postmodern furniture as the final stage of the study. Therefore, the students will be able to create a piece of eco-friendly wood furniture for our environment as metaphor transformed by his/her perspective regarding a piece of selected New Design furniture.
