Eu-PEG로 구성된 상변환 발광재료의 합성 및 물성에 대한 연구 (Study of Synthesis and Property of Eu-PEG Phase Change Luminescent Materials)

  • A novel TPC-PEG-TPC with active end-groups was obtained from the end-groups of polyethylene glycol (PEG) modified by terephthaloyl chloride (TPC). These active end-groups can link up with a rare earth ion, which is a luminescent center of a rare earth fluorescent complex. Complexes of Eu-PEG with novel ligands (TPC-PEG-PTC) were synthesized by the coordination of the active reactant (as the first ligand) and phenanthroline (as the second ligand) with $Eu^{3+}$.IR, $^1H$-NMR, element analysis, DSC, WAXD, fluorescent spectroscopy, TGA, and SEM were used to characterize the structure and properties of these complexes. The results showed that this type of complex is a heat storage material with the phase change character of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and the luminescent properties of europium. There was no thermal decomposition of the complex of Eu-PEG until $300^{\circ}C$. SEM showed that the complex of Eu-PEG can be dispersed in PE.

ICP-MS를 이용한 희토류원소 분석시 표준시료의 선택이 미치는 영향 (A Role of Standard Material in Rare Earth Element Analysis by ICP-MS)

  • ICP-MS로 화강암질 암석내 희토류원소의 함량 분석시 표준시료의 선택이 어느 정도 영향을 주는 지를 밝혀내기 위해, 상업용 표준시료(ACCU-standard, No. Cal-1), 화강암의 한국산 표준시료(KG-1), 미국산 표준시료(G-2), 일본산 표준시료(JC-1a, JC-2)를 각각 기준시료로 하여 각각의 희토류원소 함량을 측정하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 경희토류(La-Gd) 분포도는 표준시료의 변화에 관계없이 대체적으로 추천값과 측정값 모두 일치하였다. 그러나 G-2 혹은 JG-2를 기준으로 측정했을 시, 다른 표준시료의 추천값과 측정값에 의한 중희토류(Gd-Lu)의 분포도는 많은 차이가 발생되었다. 이는 표준시료의 추천값의 오류 혹은 표준시료 암석의 지구화학적 특성에 기인된다. KG-1 혹은 JG-1a를 기준시료로 하여 희토류원소 함량을 측정했을 경우에는 G-2나 JG-2를 기준시료로 했을 때보다 추천값과 측정값에 의한 희토류원소의 분포도의 어긋남이 비교적 약한 편이다. 이는 국내 화강암류의 희토류원소 함량분석에 있어서의 표준시료로서 KG-1 혹은 JG-1a가 보다 더 유용함을 지시해준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전통 건축을 위해 사용되었던 흙건축 재료와 관련된 정보를 웹 환경에서 관리하고 검색할 수 있도록 하기 위한 웹 기반 정보서비스의 설계 및 개발에 대하여 기술한다. 전통흙건축재료 정보서비스는 특히 고문헌 자료를 바탕으로 하므로, 일반 사용자가 이해하기 어려운 전문 한자 용어 중심의 데이터를 기반으로 정보 검색이 수행되는 불편을 최소화시킬 수 있는 방안이 요구된다. 또한 자료 수집 및 분석이 데이터베이스 구축과 병행되므로 데이터의 확장성에 대한 고려가 필요하기도 하다. 본 논문에서는 전통흙 건축재료를 위한 정보서비스의 설계 및 개발 과정에서 주요 이슈들을 도출하고 이를 해결하는 여러 방안들을 제시한다.

  • CATV is the abbreviation for Cable Television. General CATV is a way of multi-channel sending images, voices and music including stillness image as well as characters to public receivers through electrical cable communication system. In the beginning, master antennas were people can not receive TV signal well. TV programs were received from master antennas to TVs in each house. Ground connection began by experimenting lightning with the use of a kite and it means electric appliances, communication equipments, measuring instruments and so on connecting the Earth in order to flow away overcharged electricity. There are two kinds of earth connection: Power Ground and Signal Ground. Power Ground is for preventing an electric shock and in general there's no current in the connector. However in an accident, there's a quick flow of electricity out to the Earth. Signal Ground is not only for the safety of appliances but also for the safety of equipment operation. This paper is about connection for noise and interference reduce in order to prevent wrong operation and distortion of signal in the electrical appliances which can take place in CATV.

초등 영재학생과 일반학생들의 지구과학 영역에서 과학 글쓰기에 대한 분석 (An analysis of Scientific Writing about Earth Science Area by Gifted and Average Elementary School Students)

  • With five gifted and nine average elementary school students, this study attempted to make a comparative analysis on the characteristics of their scientific writings for earth science-related topics. The analysis found that all of the gifted students showed higher scores than the average in the writing sections of scientific nature, logical nature and creativity. Compared to the average scores, their creativity scores were far higher. By comparing and analyzing the predicates in the writings two groups wrote, I found that the gifted students used more sentences per topic than the average students. Both groups wrote the most numbers of sentences for Volcano-related topics. In the meantime, the gifted children used the least numbers of sentences for the related topics to atmospheric pollution and the average students did so for the related topics to fossils. By the analysis on the patterns of predicate, it was observed that both groups used material predicates most and verbal predicates least. As far as the second most used predicates are concerned, the gifted children used relational predicates and the average students used mental predicates.

Fossil Plants from the Early Cretaceous Hasandong Formation ofChilgok Area, Korea

  • Nine species of fossil plants were described based on the new material collected from the Hasandong Formation. They are as follows: Thallites yabei, Onychiopsis elongata, Cladophlebis denticulata, C. shinshuensis, C. (Eboracia ?) lobifolia, C. (Klukia ?) koraiensis, Brachyphyllum japonicum, Elatocladus tennerima, and Taeniopteris ? sp. cf. T. auriculata. The floristic composition of the Hasandong flora is very similar to that of the Nakdong flora. This means that both floras might have flourished under subtropical warm arid climate. This flora contains both the Tetori-type and Ryoseki-type floras. It is considered that the Hasandong flora is a member of the Mixed-type floras that existed in eastern Eurasia during the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous time.

구조물 뒷채움재로서의 석탄회 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recycling of Coal Ash as Structural Backfill materials)

  • The purpose of this paper is to recycle coal ash as structural backfill materials from electric power plants. Two million tons of coal ash are produced annually. The laboratory test was executed for the basic compatibility as substitution for structural backfill materials and the optimal mixture ratio(fly ash : bottom ash) was decided. In addition the model test was performed using medium scale earth pressure model with small size earth pressure cells model box data logger and some other apparatuses. Mixed coal ash and excellent backfill materials(coheisonless soil SW) were compared in the view of lateral earth pressure variation depending on wall displacement. The reduction of earth pressure when coal ash was used as a bockfill material was monitored comparing to that of cohesionless soil. the cost and environmental pollutants by treating coal ash can be reduced through developing the recycling technology.

  • The last 30 years have been significant worldwide growth in the use of EPS as a lightweight fill material. A new construction method was introduced, which reduces earth pressure acting on culvert and conduit by placing a thin layer of EPS. This paper analyzes the compressible inclusion function of EPS and geogrid which can results in reduction of earth pressure by arching that is the behaviour of soil-structure system involving redistribution of soil stress around the structure. Field test was conducted to evaluate the reduction of vertical earth pressure using EPS and geogrid inclusion. Based on field test it is found that the magnitude of reduced vertical earth pressure was about 24~50% compared to conventional method.

  • 최근 국내에 사용되고 있는 보강토옹벽 공법은 전면체의 재질, 보강재, 축조방법, 축조경사에 따라 수많은 종류가 제안되었으나 각 공법에 따른 설계방법이나 상세검토항목 등의 규정이 명확하지 않으며 집중호우에 따른 붕괴도 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 보강토옹벽의 설계에 있어서 좀 더 안정된 기술적 접근을 위해 설치높이별 단면을 가정하고 단일 강도의 보강재를 사용한 보강토옹벽의 인발파괴와 높이별 최적의 보강재 조합을 산정하고 산정된 각 단면에 대해서 보강길이비(L/H)에 따른 안전율 변화를 통하여 보강재의 최적 설계와 다단식 보강토옹벽의 최적 설계 그리고 보강재인 토목섬유의 재질에 따른 최적 길이비를 산정하여 제시하였다.
